If It's Not Me

Chapter 51 Surrounded

Denise immediately aimed the camera at the pavilion. "Look, Mommy! Daddy is really amazing! I want to learn martial arts, too," Denise said in her cherubic voice. Janice took a closer look and happened to see Daniel correcting Laskarina's hand. From Denise's angle, both seemed to be glued together and acting intimately. Frost instantly crawled over Janice's beautiful eyes, and her fists tightened unwittingly. This guy actually brought Denise with him to pick up girls! And he even cast Denise aside! Immediately, an unknown fury rose in her heart, and she also observed the surrounding environment. It didn't take her very long to deduce that they were currently in the Waterfront Manor neighborhood. "Okay, Denise. I'm going there to look for you now," she said, restraining her anger and hanging up. In her fury, she clasped the phone screen on her thigh as her face turned stone cold and she gritted her teeth. At first, she was worried that Daniel would be angry at the fact she was having dinner alone with Nelson. As it turned out, he was doing amazing, bringing Denise to pick up girls and even teaching her martial arts. Just you wait, Daniel Hardon! Wait and see how I'm going to take care of you! At the moment, she was like a wife who had caught her husband cheating and was on the way to catch him red-handed. She didn't notice that she was so mad because she was jealous. Nelson sensed her sudden anger and asked concernedly while driving, "What happened, Janice? Where are they?" "Nothing, let's go to the Waterfront Manor," she answered coldly. When Nelson realized that something was amiss with her, he thought, Did Daniel make her unhappy? It's great if that's the case! He desperately wished that she would hate Daniel, then he would have a reason to drive Daniel away! His initially gloomy mood immediately lightened, and he stepped harder on the accelerator, driving faster. Suddenly, two cars coming side-by-side approached from the front, occupying two lanes with their high beam light on, and the blinding light forced him to hit the brakes!"Hey, what's wrong with you guys? Can't you drive?" Nelson yelled, getting out of the car. Meanwhile, Janice frowned deeply, blocking the blinding lights with her hand, but there was no reaction from the two cars. Even after they came to a stop, they didn't bother to turn off their high beam lights. A disgruntled Nelson marched forward and banged on the car hood, shouting, "Hey, I'm speaking to you! Are you deaf?" Immediately, engines roared behind them; two more cars approached them side-by-side from the back—with their high beams on—and stopped behind Janice. With that, they blocked their car from the front and back. Janice glanced behind her and suddenly felt a little uneasy. It didn't take long for Nelson to detect that something was wrong as he fixed his eyes on the two cars that suddenly made an appearance. Suddenly, all the car doors popped open, and more than twenty men sprang out, each holding thick clubs in their hands. The man leading the group had bruises all over his face, and his left hand was still in a plaster cast. Just one glance and one could tell that they didn't come with kind intentions. Inside the car, Janice had a bad feeling, and a strong sense of danger suddenly hit her. When Nelson saw so many people getting out of the car, he turned a little cowardly as well, and he gulped. Nevertheless, he recalled that Janice was behind himself, so he braced himself and said in forced composure, "I'm a member of the Gray Family of Atlasdam. How dare you stop me?!" Xavier gave him a once over and said, "The Gray Family of Atlasdam?" "That's right. If you touch me, my family won't let you off!" Nelson exclaimed.
