Pampered By Billionaires After Betrayal
Another young couple behind them voiced their impatience: “Exactly. You knew one adult can bring one child, yet you still brought two. I can’t stand kids in the cinema. They’re noisy and disruptive, ruining the movie experience. Cinemas should ban kids or have special screenings for them. It’s really annoying otherwise…” The young mother looked crestfallen and hurriedly left the line with her children. “Wait—” Emily quickly stepped forward, calling after the young mother. The young mother apologized as she saw Emily: “I can’t join you for the movie, but the seats next to yours are all mine. You should have more space to yourself.” “You know that’s wasting resources, right? You bought those seats, so others couldn’t. What about people who wanted to watch this movie?” It was the young couple again, likely college students, speaking rudely. The boy was silent, but the girl’s disdain for the children was evident, her face twisted with irritation. Even though the mother had stepped out of line, the girl continued to vent her anger. The girl snatched the tickets from the young mother and sneered: “These are the best seats, right in the center of row eight. You’re taking up the best seats for nothing!” The young mother’s eyes reddened, almost crying: “I’ve already stepped out. I’m not taking up any resources anymore.” The girl remained unmoved, even disdainful: “But those prime seats are wasted. How about this? Give me the tickets. You can’t go in anyway.” The young mother nearly burst into tears: “But… these tickets are for my friend.” “You mean that woman?” The girl pointed at Emily, who was walking over: “She’s alone, right? She can’t use all four seats. Public resources shouldn’t be wasted. Give the tickets to someone who needs them.” The young mother turned: “But… the tickets are mine. I paid for them. I can give them to whoever I want.” “But you can’t go in. It’s settled. Give me the tickets. I’ll watch the movie for you and tell you the plot afterward. How about that?” Watching a movie and then explaining the plot? How absurd! But the young mother wasn’t good with words, and she struggled to respond. Holding her baby, she was afraid of waking him and didn’t dare argue loudly. The next moment, the tickets were back in her hands. Her view was blocked as Emily stepped in front of her, shielding her from the aggressive girl. “Why can’t she go in? We clearly have one adult for each child, complying with the cinema’s rules.” “Come here.” Emily held out her hand to the little girl. The little princess looked at her mother, who nodded, and then placed her small hand in Emily’s. Emily called to the young mother: “Let’s go inside.” The young mother instantly understood and felt a surge of joy: “Thank you…” “Come on, give the tickets to the inspector. Let’s watch the movie.” “Alright, alright…” The ticket inspector sighed in relief. She sympathized with the mother but couldn’t break the rules. Now that the issue was resolved, she nodded, “Please enter Hall 2.” “Thank you.” Emily led the little princess inside, the young mother following with her baby, overjoyed: “Thank you so much for your help. You’ve helped me again…” Emily smiled reassuringly: “It’s nothing. Being a mother is tough. We should support each other.” The young mother was momentarily stunned: “Do you have children too? When I saw you last time, you weren’t married yet. So soon?” Emily glanced at her belly: “I’m expecting. Six months along.” “Wow,” the young mother exclaimed: “A winter baby, a Sagittarius. Sagittarius children are cheerful and lively. Didn’t the father come with you?” Emily replied: “He was supposed to come with me last night for the premiere, but it was too late. He had work today, so I came alone.” “Oh, here’s row eight.” Emily helped the little princess into her seat, and the young mother settled with her baby beside them.“These tickets were a gift from my husband,” the young mother said: “He’s busy with work. I told him I wanted to watch a movie, and he bought these tickets since he couldn’t join me.” The little princess pouted and added: “Daddy is always busy. I haven’t seen him in a long time.” “Your daddy is busy working…” “But doesn’t everyone work during the day? He could come home at night to be with mommy and me. Does your husband never come home?” Emily couldn’t answer. She saw Mr. Satan daily, but she couldn’t say that. This young mother already lacked her husband’s attention. Emily didn’t want to make her feel worse. Thankfully, the screen started its countdown. “Look, the movie is starting.” It was a Disney animated movie about a young queen with the power to freeze anything she touched. She had to wear gloves to avoid causing trouble with her powers. Eventually, she learned that her unique ability didn’t prevent her from being a good person. She created an ice castle and became the Snow Queen. The theme song was catchy. The little girl quickly learned it and hummed it even after the movie ended. As people began to leave, Emily and the young mother prepared to go, not wanting to delay other patrons. “Oh no, I lost my phone!” A panicked cry came from the cinema entrance.
