Pisces By the time my father and I left the Zodiac meeting Aquarius was waiting outside of our place. It was 1:36 in the morning on a Friday night. It was Eerily quiet! Waiting until we were standing in front of her, "I did not want to drop in the place and set off any alarms!" Aqua said. My father pointed toward Merna's neck, "You were attacked!" "Ah ... Yeah!" She rubbed the back of her neck, "Mannel might have tried to kill me!" She placed her hand into her pocket and pulled out one of the medallions that I had made. "So I might have done a little something ..." Father was pushing Aquarius towards the back door, "Get inside before someone sees us!" I followed with Sagittarius behind me. "WHAT DID YOU DO?" My father bellowed at Aquarius. She might not have realized it but I for sure knew my father was beyond pissed, I think even Sagittarius understood that my father was livid. I wish I had the balls that Aqua had, "I am going to take it the meeting did not go well after I left ... You look a little stressed!" She said with a straight face. Whispering, "Is she always like this?" Sagittarius said in my ear. "I am going to go and get the popcorn! I think the show is about to start!" I told Sagittarius as I scooted to the kitchen. From the kitchen, I could hear my father yelling at Aquarius stating how reckless and careless her actions were. Followed by Aquarius saying that her actions were the only reason a girl around my age was still breathing. The silence was the part that bothered me the most. When my father stops yelling, all hell is about to be released. "You are not my father, you do not have the right to tell me what I can and can not do!" I heard Aqua hiss as I walked into the lounge. “You are infuriating!” Leaning to the side, "I have bets on Aqua! She can hold her own!" Sagittarius said with amusement in his voice. “If you do not like the product, do not look at me, get a hold of the manufacturer and leave all complaints there!” "You do not know my father as I do ..." I put a piece of popcorn in my mouth offering some to Sagittarius. "When my father gets fired up there is nothing that is going to calm him down."Sagittarius turned his head to me, "Did you hear them from the kitchen?" He asked. "Not everything!" Sagittarius began to chuckle softly, "She is spouting facts and giving evidence to back herself up! I think your father is about to lose his first battle to Aqua!" Both of our attentions were reverted to the arguing duo! "You know what Cancer ... I do not have the time for your parental advice ... Mannel is trapped in this Medallion!" She shoved it in my father's face. "As you have said several times, the gods are not that easy to deal with. And this asshat has already tried to get out of this eight times ... nah make that nine, he is trying to feed off our anger and get out AGAIN!" There was venom as she hissed at him. "So ... I need to seal this and get this thing the fuck out of here ... like this time last year!" "This is reckless!" Father hissed back. "NO! This is dangerous! It would only be reckless if I did not think nor care about the consequences of my actions. Considering I have yet to finish with my actions, it is dangerous, not reckless!" I glared at Sagittarius, "Aqua is my hero!" Picking up some popcorn, "I thought I was your hero!" He placed the food in his mouth. "You are a close second now!" I put a handful of popcorn in my mouth. "The last person that could win a fight against my dad was mom. Guess what month she was born in?" I started to chuckle. My father whipped his head in my direction, "I thought you had something to do?" "It is past two in the morning ... What did you want Pisces to do ... clean his room!" Aquarius cut in. "Go to bed!" My father yelled at me. I did not know what to say. I was to take the couch, the same couch that he and Aquarius were standing in front of. Aqua pointed at the couch with the pillow and blanket, "We are standing beside his bed!" She said with a straight face. Sagittarius balled his hand, placing it over his mouth while he tried to stifle his laughter. "Sagittarius do you not have a wife to go home to?" My father barked."Yes sir I do ... But this is more entertaining!" He cleared his throat, "But then again ... It should be the wee one's feeding time soon. I am sure Jennifer would like the chance to get more sleep!" Sagittarius said as both Aquarius and my father gave him a dead-pin glare. "The disagreement is over!" Aquarius said as she directed her body to my workplace, "I need to use your supplies to seal this." She told me as she passed me. Sagittarius whistled, "She is intense!" Strolling over to my father who is stressed out, "and you said you wish you had a daughter!" He started to laugh. "Best of luck friend!" "Half of the group already dislikes Aqua!" I pointed out to my father, "Aqua is not going to make friends but I think she is going to bring results!" I placed some popcorn in my mouth. Digging his hand into the bowl, "She is going to be a pain in my ass!" My father muttered. I chuckled, "More than Aries?" My father grumbled words that I could not hear. "Get some sleep, I am going to make sure Aquarius does not need any help!" I followed my father, as strong a leader my father was, one of the greatest warriors ... he sucked when it came to the magickal aspect of our lives. I, on the other hand, was a piss poor fighter and only good at following orders. But with my mother's teaching, I became one hell of a spell caster. "Let me Dad!" I said from behind him as we went down the stairs, "Besides I am better at spell casting than you!" Stopping, "Never go after the etiri by yourself ... What she did could have gotten her killed. The bruise around her neck is evidence to prove it!" "If you two are done bickering ... Pisces come here and check my work! I need to know this is going to get me from point A to point B?" Aquarius yelled at us. I squeezed past my dad, rushing over to Aqua, and inspecting her work. "I can tell what is my work ...but the other part I do not recognize." I pointed to the final seal. "While I was sitting here, I was going to copy what I have seen you do ... then I saw something in my mind that was new to this point. So I mimicked what I saw in my head. What is your opinion?" I was excited, "It is good ... better than good! Mom would have loved this. Do you care if I draw it?" I asked Aquarius. "This is a cast I have yet to see!" "The wax has not dried fully ... but have a go at it!" Huffing and puffing. “While I was waiting for you two to get home. I was informed by Ats … the elemental I am paired with for this mission. Ats lost the shapeshifter! Each of the Zodiacs are going to be watched closely, everything and anything you do will be monitored and reported back to their Council.”Standing at the door, “What about the constellation council members and their families plus those that we have recruited? Will they be monitored as well?” “Ats did not mention anything, but it would not surprise me. I do know one thing, from the whispers that are going around … many elemental and magical folk are questioning the sincerity of the zodiac members. Some are starting to believe that the zodiac members are overstepping and are not keeping to the agreement that had been made.”
