Cancer The blood moon meeting has begun. With everything I had been saying about Mirna in the last two months, everyone had been expecting Mirna to be introduced as the new Aquarius. As everyone had taken their assigned seat Libra was the first to ask about Aquarius' whereabouts. I told them that she had the flu. Not wanting to pass it on to others she decided to sit this meeting out. As much as I did not like lying to the group, the fewer that knew of her personal life the better. Mirna was a private person. Something I could respect. If she should want to introduce her personal life to the group, she will, but on her own time and not mine. I was incredibly worried about Mirna, she took risks that many of us would never do. When I was listening to Pisces and Mirna’s conversation about her going hunting. I was furious, at least until she informed me that she had been doing this for close to three years now. She told us bits and pieces of her dream. Where she would hold a medallion very similar to what my son makes. From that point she would say a few words and by the end of things her opponent was trapped in the medallion. Once I heard that story I ran to my closet, dusting off a box, opening it up. I found a story that was written by the Cancer from 6756 BCE. When I was translating the story, it spoke of assassin sorceresses who would trap their foes in an object, sealing it, to bury it in a location where no one could find the object. Pointing at the picture, Mirna informed us this was what she saw and similarly she was doing the same. The only problem was. The objects that she has are not crafted to handle Eternals. It was Pisces' handy work that was the key to Mirna’s success. Of course, I was not going to charge Mirna for the medallion, it went to our cause. Mirna responded with, who was going to pay for the mettle Pisces was going to need. She needed the medallions to be made with one hundred percent pure metal. Not the cheap stuff either. An agreement had been made that she would buy the material while Pisces would make what she needed. The next thing that was agreed on, no one was to know who this was for. Mirna and Pisces were convinced there was a traitor at our table. And Mirna was not comfortable revealing anything until she figured out who it was. I was beginning to be worried that maybe I should have sent Sagittarius over after all. Even if it was out of paranoia, at least I would have the peace of mind knowing she is safe! After everyone had been seated, Capricorn was the first to speak up, "The elementals have been telling me that since the last meeting, twenty-one people have gone missing. Only three of those cases were not connected to them. That is just in their region!" Everyone started to state how many of our kind have gone missing. Compared to the other months, things slowed down. The report has been fewer. In total since our last meeting, the missing had dropped from five hundred and seventy eight to one hundred and thirty four. This was a considerable decrease that everyone agreed was good news. The next topic that came to the table was from Taurus. Those that he works with had told him that the king of the originals, Mannel’s so call brother, had been asking questions about the Zodiacs. For as long as there has been a Cancer sitting at the table, no one has ever had any interaction with the dragon king. Everyone but Libra seemed concerned about this new information. “He is just another original … no different than the others!” Libra proclaimed. “He is not just another original! He is the master of the abyss!” I told the group. I had to be smart about how much I shared. Only the paravai are associated with Pirapancam. Pirapancam from what I understand is on good terms with Chaos, the king of the dragons, master of the abyss. “Taurus, do you know why he is asking questions about the Zodiac?” Scorpio inquired. Taurus huffed out, “It appears that the elementals mention us in one of their reports. Which has caused Chaos to start asking more questions. Since the elementals understand their error, they have not said anything else … expect it has not given up on trying to find out more information about us!” It is just a matter of time until he figures out who we are, if our etirikal has, so will he. Pirapancam told me once that Chaos has never been known to back off something when he wants information. I did not know how I was going to protect everyone, but I had to figure out something soon. Indeed, Chaos has never had much interest in us. For all he cares, we do not exist. It had been that way, up to this point. “Does anyone know why we were brought up in conversation?” By asking this I could get more of an idea of what sparked his interest in us after so long of staying hidden in his eyes. Taurus only shook his head! Aries jumped up from his spot, "This is bull shit! How many more of us have to go missing before something is done? Now we have the king of the dragons, the master of darkness looking into us! We need to take action." I understood how Aries was feeling, I had been there for a long time. But the original and other species are too powerful to take head on. Even with the paravai training, it still is not enough. If we went to the root that Aries wanted, we would be dead within minutes.Pisces spoke up, "If it were that easy, Aries we would not be here! This group was designed so that we could protect ourselves better. A chain effect that can keep others aware of their surroundings!" The group was starting to get hyped up. Some agreed with Aries the other side with Pisces. Leo stood up as well, "I agree something needs to be done about this! We need to organize an attack on our enemies and stop them from taking any more of our brothers and sisters." "I agree with this!" Scorpio began, "Yet we have to be intelligent about this! Going in with no plan or organization ... this will only get us killed!" "We have been sitting here for far too long Cancer ... we need more action! You said that we possibly found our Aquarius, where is Aquarius? Oh that is right, not here … she has the flu! While we fight and defend … enough is enough!" Gemini yelled at me. Scorpio stood up, “Your argument is as poor as your judgement Gemini. We all have been plagued with disease and not once had the finger pointed at us. What Aquarius talents are, we will have to find … I am sure she is no different than the rest of us!” “What do you know about Aquarius?” Libra asked. Pisces and I glared at each other. I knew that if I said nothing, things would not go well for Mirna. Pisces shrugged his shoulders, “She is one hell of a fighter! Anything past that … we know nothing!” “Well that is cryptic, do you not think!?” Libra snarled at me. With a cocky grin, “Kind of funny how the missing people have gone down!” Scorpio pointed out. “Kind of interesting how Chaos knows about us!” Libra retorted. “Did you just pull your head out of your ass or were you born yesterday … it was the elemental that told Chaos about us you cobrona!” Scorpio snapped. This conversation was beginning to get out of hand. “It is great that you two do not have a baby waiting for you back home but I do …” Sagittarius was speaking to both Libra and Scorpio. "Ophiuchus... What are your thoughts? You have been quiet in this meeting!" Sagittarius asked. "It is a shame that Aquarius is unable to be here but we still have many issues that are at hand. We need to start focusing on how we are going to continue protecting ourselves along with the public. The etiri are attacking more often now. Even if the number of missing people has gone down, attempts are still being made on all species." Ophiuchus glanced around the group, "The best attack is a great offence! The majority of us are not trained in hand to hand combat so a direct attack is not wise. We need to focus on being aware of our surroundings. Not placing ourselves in situations that would compromise our safety." Ophiuchus paused for a moment to think, “If it is true Aqua has interfered with the attacks … I would like to know how she is managing this. Who she is working with and how loyal she would be to this organization. As far as I am concerned a vote has not been completed to allow this individual into the group.” Pisces and I both huffed out loud. We both had assumed the group would blindly accept Mirna into the group. With Ophiuchus bringing to the table a vote, I knew now her spot here was not guaranteed, yet there was still the Constellations, which the group had already accepted Mirna. "All in favour with Ophiuchus say I!" Sagitarous shouted. Six of the group members agreed with Ophiuchus and six agreed with Leo and Aries. "Without Aqua ... we are at a stalemate... we do nothing!" I announced it to the group. Aries tossed the chair backwards, "As always!" One at a time everyone began to leave. Pisces phone dinged letting him know that he received a message. Going by his facial expression it was bad news. Without thinking, “Mirna said they found her mate's body and they killed her dog!” Pisces said. “I thought you said she was sick?” Ophiuchus stated. “It was not information that was mine to give!” I was angry that Pisces did not think before he spoke. “Shit bro this is not good!” Scorpio said to my son. Ophiuchus pointed at us, “You know her?” “No!” Sagittarius stated. Pisces and Scorpio both glared at me. Scorpio turned to Ophiuchus and stated that she was cold as ice but one of the best fighters he had ever seen. Stating she had the type of personality that did not give any fucks! PIsces started pacing the area, “dad … she is going to go for revenge! I know her better than any … she …” He rubbed his hands down his face. I put out my hand, “I want to read the message!”‘My mate is dead and they killed my fucking dog!’ “She is going to go for revenge served with a side order of fuck around and find out!” I handed Pisces his phone back. “Ophiuchus I would greatly appreciate it if you did not mention anything about this! Not to your family, friends or anyone in this group. She does not like anyone to know about her. She does the task and then continues to move forwards!” Ophiuchus did the motions of sealing and locking his lips, “mom is the word!” “Thank you brother!”
