You Were Warned
Parppavar I was not happy when I had been informed by Cygwin that Gwydion was dead. When questioned how it happened. All Cygwin could say was that he was burned from the inside out. The authorities could not get any more information than that. What was more disturbing was the fact that no one could answer what happened. The only clear thing was the message that was carved into Gwydion’s body. Pu was sent to do her own investigation. She too was not able to get much except the area had been cleaned well. Whoever decided to kill my spy must have been a sorcerer from the Keswick region. They are the only ones that still hold a grudge against Gwydion. As Pu was getting ready to leave, she spotted Aruru and Nin heading to the centre of Nilranlin. This was just another small inconvenience! I sent Visam to collect the body from Cygwin so that my idiot brother would not get it. Since the hybrid moved to the morons' terrain, things have gone dead silent. Even Gwydion was handing over less information than usual. Kolaiyali suspected that Chaos had figured out what was going on. I kindly reminded him that if he did, the council would have already been involved. Since there are no summons of appearance, Chaos remains in the dark. Where he belongs! Yelsline was a city of mixed breeds. A small trader's port to find goods and services. It was also known for its underground illegal business. A great place to get rid of unwanted problems. I stood in the shadows as I waited for my parcel to be brought to me. In disguise as an old hag, no one would realize that it is me. From my spies, I had already received news that the hunt was over. It appeared that one of the captives was a mate of a high ranking ... something or another. I could care less! What I was interested in was the redheaded hybrid. Chaos has so foolishly handed over all of the hybrids that have landed in his possession! With Chaos being more secretive little is known about the redhead, except her address. My other spies tried to get as much information about the hybrid. As it is in the Akashic records as in the physical realm, there is little to no information on this redhead. To me, this only meant one thing. Someone has gone to extensive lengths to hide her name and identity! This perked my attention even more. ‘Could it be that my dear big brother is hiding something from us?’ My spies have already told me that this hybrid is advanced in her skills. A prize that I will own soon! The last piece of power that was needed to take my big brother down once and for all! My time of waiting had come to an end, "Did you get the hybrid?" I asked Tizqar once I spotted him materializing. Stomping towards me, "The hybrid was not there! But we have a bigger problem auntie!" I glared at Tizqar, how could the moron not complete one simple task. I slapped him across the face, “What do you mean you do not have her?” “The hybrid was not part of the group of human borns. She left before the hunt … Chaos made sure she was gone before the hunters were to go after the prey.” He held his face as he spoke to me. I was seeing red, "How can it be that one hybrid slipped your grasp? It is just a human born with a bit of extra power." I shouted. "Nothing that a purebred should have issues with!" I hissed not wanting to make a scene. "Do not get angry at me! Someone has protected the hybrid's domain with powerful magick. No one but Sadragon is capable of entering the hybrid's domain." I could not think of one mage that would work with Chaos with power strong enough to keep a pure breed out. ‘What makes this redhead hybrid different from the others?’ “Does Chaos visit the hybrid?” “No auntie … he does not leave his private chambers much lately!” There went the suspicions that the redhead could be his mate. “Who visits the hybrid?” “Only Sadragon and his mate! The mate was part of those that were captured during the hunt! Everyone else can not get onto the land, not even a common spirit! SOmeone has made it that nothing passes without the hybrid's invitation!” Tizqar was starting to lose my favour, what a complete idiot! The hunt was planned, ‘what is Chaos up to?’ "That does not matter! I will send my strongest assassin to find a way to get through her protections. I want my prize in the next hour, or someone is going to pay for this!" I knew if there was anyone who could do what I asked it would be him. I left Tizqar wondering if he was going to die or not. I could care less. The setbacks were starting to become too frequent. First Mannel’s targets were saved from his capture. He blames the Zodiac for this disruption. Gwydion’s murder, which I am now thinking Chaos was part of. Along with the deaths of my several serfs. I needed that hybrid and there was only one assassin I could think of, he had never failed before. I instructed him to watch the hybrid. After a while, he informed me that he could not gain entry way to her dwellings. Still, that would not stop him from performing the task that was given. The hybrid would have to leave the dwelling as all human borns do. That is when he would make his attack. I told my assassin that he was to report back to me when there was something of interest. Besides the fact that he could hear the clatter and screams from the dwellings, the hybrid had remained inside. I stormed around striking at anyone who crossed my path. I was in a foul mood!
