You Were Warned

Chapter 153 Merna

Merna - Violence Zefer left more confused than when she arrived. It was not my job to tell her everything that I saw, that was up to Chaos. If he thought it was too dangerous to say out loud what was going on, that means to me that he believes that the traitor works alongside him in some way or form. I waited until she was completely gone to begin the second phase of my work. Chaos was not the only one that was being paranoid. In the past, I would change my wards every so often. The quality of my work increased as the years went by. Here I have doubled up on the protection. I used everything at my disposal. There was only one last thing I needed to do. When Zefer arrived I had just finished allowing Chaos’ bloodline to enter my domain. Entering the cabin I went to the table. Picking up the vial of my blood and grabbing an eyedropper, I went to the corners of the property and dropped a full dropper of blood onto the ground. Keeping my mind clear and the intention vivid, the work was done in less than fifteen minutes. If anyone tried to attack ... they would find out quickly that I am not easy to take down. If I am not home, I will see the face of the individual who has stepped onto my property. Taking a break, I had been sitting at the fireplace when I could hear my phone ringing. Even though the sun had begun to go down, I still was able to see clearly. Near where I had been gardening the other day, my phone was on the ground. I noticed I was at five percent of battery power, cursing a couple of words, "Hello!" "Hola Mirna!" Pisces said, "I have been trying to get a hold of you!" "Sorry about that, it has been very busy lately!" I told him not wanting to tell him that I had lost my phone. "Why are you calling?" "You need to go and see the Mistress's seer!" Pisces seemed a little stressed. "Ah!" I paused not wanting to be rude to him, “That is not going to happen!” "Mirna …” Pisces sounded as if he was stressed, “I believe something major event is going to happen, you need to go and see her!" I thought about it, “What kind of major event are you talking about?” I was not going to go if this was going to be a waste of my time. Pisces went on a whole tangent about his interaction with my mother's seer. How she is not working in accordance with an order but of her own doing. He also mentioned that I was close to my first shift. That had my attention. I remembered the situation that happened in the bathroom. “How do you know if you are going to shift?” I asked Pisces hoping he could give me more information. Pisces started to chuckle, “Each of us, it is different. One thing is consistent though … when we see our reflection, you will see a bird. Each bird is connected to an element … mine is water.” He paused for a second. “Mirna … have you seen your bird yet?” The line was quiet as I thought about what had been happening to me. “No!” I decided to tell him. “I have been seeing a lot of translucent black mist.” “Do you dream of a place where there are always black birds, some are small while others are huge?” I knew that all of these questions would lead somewhere, I just had to follow the breadcrumbs. “Pirapancam tells me they are only dreams and have no meaning!” “¡Estoy que echo humo!” Pisces yelled into the phone. “What?” I did not have the charm to translate what he was saying. “I am seeing red!” On the other line, I could tell that Pisces was trying to get himself to calm down. “I can not believe she would do this to you … those dreams are us trying to connect with you!” Pisces took a couple of deep breaths, “How long have you had these dreams?” “As long as I can remember … I think the first time was between five or seven!” I was truthful about the situation. “That is when I realised I could hear and see the dead. Then things progressed to …” I cleared my throat, “get worse for me!” I recalled how many times I was told to get my head out of the clouds and my feet back on the ground. I would speak and quickly I was dismissed for making stories up. I guess it was the only way my family could handle the supernatural. If you did not speak about it … it was not there. Pisces said a couple more words in Spanish, that I could only assume was him cursing. “If you are seeing mist, your shift might be close by. For each of us, our nature was welcomed and celebrated. I am going to take a lucky guess and say that since Pirapancam has discouraged such a thing, your nature is hesitant to come to full form.” Pisces huffed out loudly, “Mirna you really should go and see the seer … and then come and visit my father! He will be able to aid you in your transition! Father insists that something big is going to happen soon!” I groaned, "Fine!" I agreed not wanting to do this. "I will finish eating then summon her!" I growled, “I swear if this is a waste of my time, I am going to lose my shit!” *** I had a few things that I needed to do before talking to the seer. I turned on my computer and logged into my business. Making a note of the orders that needed to be delivered tomorrow. I needed it to appear as if I was online working for at least an hour. Grabbing my watch I set a timer for one hour. That was the amount of time I was given to travel from one realm to the next. And considering time moves slower there than in the physical realm, this should be plenty of time. Everything was set up, and I headed to my black room, I waited for the seer to show up. "Everyone always looks at their watch ... watching the time move slowly! Yet time means nothing!" Pirapancam's seer showed up. Before me, a female with no eyes or nose stood there. Just a large wide mouth full of teeth. I remember the first time I saw her as a child. It had been years since the last time I peed the bed. That night I did. When questioned I told my parents that I had seen a monster. Now I look at the seer who was directing her feet towards me. She no longer was frightening to me, yet what she had to say might set me off on a tangent. "You have changed since the last time I saw you." I pointed at her cloak, "It has mothers embroidery on it!" The cloak was solid black with the earth's constellation on it with the planets as well. With keen eyes, anyone could tell that the embroidered planets moved according to their placement. "There have been some events that have passed since we last spoke!" The seer said. Huffing, "If time means nothing ... then why did Pisces call me begging me to meet up with you now and not next week?" I questioned, "What is so important that this could not wait?" The seer softly chuckled, "You have always been straight to the point ... that is why I like dealing with you." The seer brought her fingers together at the tips, "You are going to manifest... your nature is creeping to the surface. I know you have seen your reflection! Do not worry I have not told my Mistress of what I had seen.” “I am confused! Mother has spent all this time trying to stop this from happening … why are you not trying to do the same?” The seer let out a sigh. “I have seen several ways this could go … your path changed when the mage interfered with the timeline. That is why we should never alter the timeline to fit our needs. Some things need to play themselves out. That is what we have been doing with you. Letting events play themselves through. You are nearing the end of these events!” She paused and placed a cold hand on my arm. “If you shift in front of the wrong human borns things could be … high probability be disastrous! Every god, lord, king and queen, demon and angel ... all species will be hunting you down. Hammel will not be the only one after you for your power." “Again why are you allowing this to happen?” I was now more unsure of her being here speaking with me. ‘What is her angle?’ I thought to myself. Taking her hand off of my arm, “I want to share with you what I have seen! I first need your permission to do so!”"Now you have my attention!" I stood there unable to move. “I take it it is a situation that can not be spoken but shown?” Placing her hands on the side of my head, “I will take that as a yes!” In no time I saw three possible paths that could be taken. The path that I was planning on taking, the seer showed me. "You have seen it!" “Now you understand why I have to speak with you alone! The decision is up to you. Know this child … There are consequences to your actions. This is not just about you but all of the realms. What you do affects us all!” "Yes!" I said as I held on to the s. "I freaked the fuck out! I did not even tell Pierre!" I paused, “I have kept this from everyone!” "Good! Even Chaos can not know ... at least for now!" The seer said. "You are strong, but ... there is still much more that you need to do before you can let your wings out and fly." I had one question on my mind, something that had been bothering me since I was a teenager. “Am I evil?” The seer placed a hand on my arm and laughed, “Death is neither good nor evil! It is a process … part of the cycle! There is good and evil everywhere … It is up to the individual to decide if they will be kind or destroy everything in their path. You … are not evil! You will be the monster in someone's story … to others you are going to be the greatest thing to arrive. Saving many with your willingness to bring back the balance.” "When will Pirapancam tell me the truth?" My tone was colder than I had wanted it to be! "Now you listen to my ..." The seer was displaying all her teeth in a defensive mode. "Do not give me any of that horse's shit! I am tired of these games!" I screamed as a single tear rolled down my face. "I have lost my friend ... I am completely alone... and to make things worse ... my mates do not even remember a damn thing about me!" I was close to losing my dignity to a flood of tears. "So before I lose my shit ... I want answers!" The seer lowered her head, "I love my Mistress beyond words! Pirapancam keeps secrets because she is scared they will kill you. Her motives are not those of selfishness but love. Only when she sees that her actions are holding not you back but her … then she will tell you the tale of your origins." “Some events have to play themselves out first before anything can be done!?” I was still hurting. I have always hated when my mother would keep me in the dark. "So I am screwed?"If a faceless seer could smile, this was the closest I was going to get from her. "You are working with Cancer! He will teach you the ancient ways, which will help you defeat your enemies. He will show you how to keep your nature concealed so no one can see it but your own kind." The seer pulled out a necklace. "This will help for the time until you can make one that is stronger and more suited towards your needs! Nothing can be done to hide your magical aspect but your true nature, that can be concealed until you chose to reveal everything to the kingdoms and realms" "I have one question?" "Ask your question child?” "Is Pierre going to be happy?" The seer began to laugh, "We are at the break of a war and you are more concerned about your lifelong friend?" She hummed, "This should not be a surprise coming from you, but yes! They may even have a child or their own!" I placed the necklace around my neck, "It is all that matters to me!" I knew that I was going to have to make hard decisions soon. As long as Pierre was happy, I could live with the consequences of my actions. I waited for the seer to leave. Rushing to my computer got the orders packed up and ready to be sent off tomorrow. It was only seven at night. I thought about my next move as I saw in my mind one traitor was leaving Chaos’ territory. I had watched this male do this several times in the last couple of days. I knew my next destination, Nelranlin! I was not a stranger to this location. Nelranlin was one of the many locations that had portals going to all of the various domains, and realms wherever you wanted to go. Nelranlin was the centre point of trade, selling and buying of products and services. If you wanted to get rid of something fast because it was a stolen item, Nelranlin was the place to go. I went to the location where I knew I would see him. It was the portal that would lead to Pappavar's territory. I stood in the shadows making sure that no one would disturb me. At this point, everyone had been drinking for hours. Happy hour would make it so that I could either go unnoticed or a horn dog would make his attempt on me. By the time the last individual was sent home, the streets were quiet. Candles are blown out! house fires slowly burning away! In the distance I could hear wolves howling, communicating with one another. I was close to heading home when Gwydion strolled out of the portal. A huge smile on his face as he studied the location believing no one would spot him. But I could see him. I knew what Gwydion was ... a wizard that had betrayed his last master. Chaos gave him a new start, a new title ... Grand Master Mage. But once a traitor ... always a traitor!I followed Gwydion out of Nelranlin. I could tell by how he was positioning his feet he knew he was being followed. I waited until we came to the old wishing tree. Spinning around he had himself armed. "Oh little redhead, you have just made things easy for me!" He hissed with a wicked smile on his face. If I had been an ordinary female, I would have been at a loss! With a flick of the wrist, roots from the wishing tree came up from the ground. Wrapping around his arm and legs. "Gwydion, you have made it oh so much easier for me!" I returned the same energy to him times ten. "WHAT?" Gwydion motioned his head back and forth trying to comprehend what was going on. Smirking, "Let me guess!" I took a step forward, "You were expecting a weak human hybrid!" I took another step, "Someone uneducated!" I took another step, "Someone easy to take over!" "They do not know!" Realization hit Gwydion. I gave him a sideway grin, "No!" I let out a sarcastic chuckle, "Even Pirapancam does not know!" I gave him my best death stare! "What are you going to do with me?" "First I am going to silence your screams!" I flicked my wrist. "You see no evil ... You speak no evil ... You hear no evil!" In my mind, I picture the inside of Gwydion's head burning away. Blood oozed out of his ears. then his eyes burned out of their sockets. Blue flames jumped out of his mouth. Silence screams reached no one's ears as Gwydion slowly was burning to death, from the inside out. In Elven, I wrote on Gwydion's body, "Speak no evil, see no evil, hear no evil." Cleaning up the scene I made sure that this could not be traced back to me. This was just the beginning!
