You Were Warned

Chapter 134 Chaos

Chaos I was making a list of individuals that I thought would conspire against me. I waited for Sadragon to report back to me what the redhead spoke of, yet to this point, she was not able to remember names. Yet she remembers them by looks. Having her here was out of the question! "Ashur!" I motioned for my son to come forward. "I have news!" He whispered, "Can we move elsewhere?" With a single nod, we dematerialize to only appear at the portal that would lead us to our homeland. "What news do you have boy?" I asked after making sure the location was secure. "My redhead, Merna, is not an ordinary hybrid! She displays powers that surpass most sorceresses." This caught my attention, "How so?" I remember Sadragon stating that she was extraordinary, I was wondering if there was anything else she was capable of doing! With a grin on his face, "Father, I saw her move objects effortlessly with her mind. She was able to place up a scentless ward, I only found out about it when I tried to gain access to the plot of land. AND! She can mask herself, making it that none can tell who or what she is!" I smiled at my son, "you are smitten with her!" I pointed out the obvious. "She is perfection, father ... I do not even care that she is part human born! It is something I can overlook with ease." Ashur's smile slowly disappeared, "and you were correct about keeping her meaning a secret!" I narrowed my eyes on my son, "Parppavar already knows that the redhead is a hybrid! That I am sure of ... I fear that if she finds out Merna's true meaning ... things will spiral out of control quickly." I alerted my son. "You want her?" "Of course I do!" I breathed in and out a few times while I thought about things. "We need to be cautious from here and out!" "I agree with that ... since I spotted two of Pappavar serfs sniffing around my mate's home." I raised my brow, " No one but myself and Sadragon knew about this move. I told no one and he assured me the same."Ashur thought about it, "I think we need to make discussions more private. Or Pappavar has a permanent spy that watches things as closely as we do." "There is also the other possibility that Pappavar knew where Merna was residing before and followed them." Ashur was breathing rapidly as I was at all of the possibilities. "The possibilities are endless now without facts to back things up." "We need a way to protect ou ... your mate at all costs!" I paced the area as I thought about how to handle this diplomatically. "I think it might be time we involve the council! If what Sadragon said is true, Merna did tell Pierre that Hammel is collecting human borns illegally. She has even collected evidence to back it up. This is cause to alarm the council." I groaned, "I will box Sadragon for saying too much!" Ashur began to chuckle, "I might have acted out of character when Merna arrived. I think Sadragon knows what Merna means to me." I raised a brow! I knew a lot more than what I had told my son. It also appeared that Sadragon had not told Ashur everything that our mate had said. If that were the case, Ashur would have already stated that I was Merna’s mate as well. I exhaled out my frustration, ‘I wish I could remember everything!’ "We need to get your siblings involved!" I stated as I directed my feet to the portal. "This is getting out of control fast ... I need my most trusted on board if we are to get ahead of things.” Stepping out of the portal we landed at my sister's terrain. Ashur glanced around registering the energy difference. "I thought we were going to speak with my sisters and brother?" "We will!" I stated, "Pirapancam ... I need your attention!!" After waiting a while my sister materialized. "Dear brother, what trouble is there?" She seemed scared. "Did your seer say something to you?" I asked. "No, my seer did not! Something has to be wrong since you brought Ashur here with you!" Pirapancam said quickly as her eyes bounced from me to my son. "They have found her!" I did not delay in the information that was to be given. Pirapancam appeared as if she was going to fall as she swayed on her feet. Grasping her by the upper arm, I steadied her once more. “You need to focus sister … Now is not the time to allow your emotions for your daughter to sway your better judgement!” Hyperventilating, "They can not get a hold of her dear brother ... you have to protect her!" "I wish I had more information that could aid me in being about to do such a task. Lend me your seer, long enough for her eyes and ears to gather information that mine can not!" Patting my hand, "I will ask her!" She acted as if she was getting ready to leave, "it will cost you but a cost I am willing to pay." I release my sister's arm. My sister pointed at Ashur and then me, "You two go back! Act as you have been ... as if nothing is going on. We have no idea who is the friend or foe. I will see if my seer will visit you." Once Pirapancam was gone, "I thought she knew things before anyone of us did!" Ashur stated his opinions. "When it pertains to the subject of Merna ... She knows as much as we do! This time foul play has overtaken the events that are to come." I turned to the portal, "there is one thing that is for sure! Your siblings and Sadragon are the only ones we can trust without question." I made sure Ashur was beside me, "No one but us and the trusted are to communicate what is going on!" Getting back to my throne room I began to write down what I wanted to say. Call it paranoia, but I did not know when eyes and ears would loom nearby. To hear words that were spoken. My siblings will go to great lengths to see me off the throne. I waited for my children to meet me at the designated location in the woods. In my hand were slips of paper with my children's names on them. "Father, why are we meeting in the woods so far away from the protection of the hunters?" Sabit asked as she noticed everyone was there. Before I started to write instructions to my offspring, Ashur and I agreed that telling them of his mate was needed. The only one who would oppose the hybrid would be Zefer. With that I could handle, if it were ordered by me, Zefer would not touch a hair on his mate’s head. "Parppavar is after your brother's mate!" I told them. “WHAT!?” Anatu bellowed out! Everyone turned their head towards Ashur. Ashur crossed his arms in front of him, "they will not get their hands on her!" He stated.Ashur and I agreed that we would not mention the redhead’s name. We would only admit that she was a hybrid. Handing out the papers to them all, "No they will not!" I reassured my son. Each of them read the page! If there was one thing I could be sure of, they would always have my back. Everything that they needed to know was there on paper for them to read. No words were said as each of their eyes glowed red. Zefer was visibly shocked as she digested each word that was written for her to read.
