You Were Warned
*Pierre* I was one of the chosen to leave on an appointed mission. Though Sadragon was pleased that I was chosen, there was sadness in his eyes as well. The duration of my leave was undetermined. I kissed Sadragon on the head, “we have to realise that until the war is over, this is going to be our lives.” Sadragon brought my body into him, “it still doesn’t make things any easier.” He exhaled, “You will not be able to return until the task is completed.” “Good thing I am efficient at getting things done!” I smiled as we packed my things, getting them ready to leave. I wanted to make sure that I was travelling light, so only the things I would need to get from one day to the next were what I was taking. My destination was Columbia! Sadragon pulled me in for one more embrace, “the chances of you coming back …” “I will complete this mission!” I kissed my mate with as much passion as my soul would give and more. “When you complete this mission … you will have the respect of the Master and you will be granted the same respect his offspring receive.” There was passion and sadness in Sadragon’s eyes. “I will come back!” I grabbed my bag and flung it onto my back. Grabbing Sadragon behind his neck I drove my tongue into his mouth, deepening the kiss. *Merna* I have lost all sense of time. I am driven by getting to as many prisons and undoing the work that had been done. Each case that I came to had one or the other scenario, they were imprisoned for liking human borns. The majority had chosen a spouse that was human born. When they had been captured, their children and mates had been slaughtered in front of them. What I found more disturbing was the fact eighty percent of them had been simple farms or traders. None of them had the skill to defend themselves against their attackers. The other scenario was that the individual was able to fight back or came from a family with power. They were not simple giants but the prisoners consisted of fae, Eternals or dragons. It became very clear a pond finding their prison, they were the aggressors. The location was not the issue but those who had been imprisoned.Majority of those locations Kudiya and Dath had to do the speaking. It was easy for Kudiya to pass me off as his serf doing his bidding. The first time this happened, I gave Kudiya a dirty glare, yet I said nothing to correct the thought process that the prisoners had toward me. If they wanted to think that I was a serf, so be it. I had only one thought in mind, undoing what had been done. The result was that Chaos had more heads added to his army or Pirapancam had more heads that she kept out of the watchful eyes of her siblings. Either or, I did not care! “Merna!” Dath called my name as I sat by myself. Turning towards him he tossed me a satchel containing food. In the beginning, I would not eat the food that was offered to me. Now I had no choice but to consume the food. I was exerting more energy than I ever had before. It was getting harder for me to continue moving forward. I nodded once, turned back around and started to eat. I stayed silent as the group was behind me, listening to their insults and rude remarks. To say that I was pissed was an understatement. In each location that I visited, the prisoners were the same. Their sense of being superior to me was well known. My demeanour became more sour and bitterness started to set in. Swallowing, I pushed all of my emotions down, to the very pit of darkness that was my being. Finishing the food, I stood up and was prepared to open a portal to the void. “Kudiya …” I made sure he was paying attention to me. “I am ready to go!” One of the males commented, “why does this serf speak out as if it … can speak at all?” A flick of my wrist a portal was forming ten feet in front of me. I did not take my sight off of the group. While all of this was going on Kudiya motioned his feet towards me. Lifting his arm in the air he was readying himself, “You need to learn your place hybrid!” All of the emotions that I had buried came to the surface and erupted. My sight was darkening, leaving me blind relying on my other senses to take over. My third eye had taken over allowing me to see that Kudiya was unable to finish his action. Toxic black mist came out of my nose and mouth. It was undeniable, the aroma of decay and wet soil was coming from me. I had gone from control over my energy, to death! If I had to be honest with myself, this was bound to happen sooner or later. I had been pushing my emotions down for a long time. “You?” Kudiya tried to move his body but found that I had full control over his actions. “I am going to assume that Chaos nor Pirapancam never warned you! So I will! You want everyone to believe that I am a serf … by all means, I do not care! Go on this power trip of yours! But do not think for one second, you tell me what to do! I am the one that finds the locations of the prisons. It is I who works to open the doors. It is I who gets the prisoners from one location to the next. You, Kudiya, are here for the ride!” My words came from my mouth, but I did not sound like me. The tone was low and menacing. ‘Is this what I sound like when I lose all control?’ I thought to myself as I lowered my control over Kudiya. I knew that no matter what I could do, I would never earn Kudiya’s respect. If that was the case I could live with that. What I would not tolerate was his idea of putting me in my place. I knew my place! Kudiya allowed his dragon to show, “you eat the food that my FATHER offers … you are under his control!” “That is where you are wrong, you nipple suckling wyrmling! No one controls me … I bow to no god, eternal, man, woman, or child!” Blue fire licked at my whole body as it pushed outwards in all directions. The prisoners jumped up and ran to Kudiya, “What is this hybrid's bloodline?” One male stomped over to Kudiya, wanting an answer. Shouting, “I do not have the energy to deal with this, go through the portal … or not! The decision is yours! Though if you do not start to move your arses by the time I decide to go, you will have to find your own way. I wont stay here any longer than I have to!” I told the group. Kudiya was on a power trip, an image that he wanted to keep. Kudiya appeared as if he was going to argue with me. His demeanour said it all. He was not pleased that he had been overthrown by a hybrid. More than anything in front of spectators. ‘Do not! It will not end well for you! I have no allegiance with you or anyone. Everything I do, I do it because I can. No one, and I mean no one can control me!’ I pushed my thoughts into Kudiya’s mind. I pointed to the portal, “move your feet!” I barked. The only one who found this whole event amusing was Dath, “Merna you are going to be an amazing consort to my king!” *Kudiya* We had landed on my father's land. The little rabbit waited for the last recruit to leave, turning to me she had on a pissed-off expression. With her hands on her hips strolling over to me, “I do not care if you tell the prisoners that I am your serf! I do not give a shit what you tell them to get them to agree to join your father’s ranks! But if you ever again try to strike me or place your hands on me ever again, I will turn you into a statue and embarrass the ever living fuck out of you in front of your peers. Do not think that you or anyone can tell me what to do!” The rabbit had the gall to bark at me.‘You listen to me you little mutt …” I got into her face. “No, you listen to me!” She was up in my face pushing her finger into my chest. “I do not care that you have mommy and daddy issues! Get over yourself. No one gives a flying fuck that your mommy and daddy are not together. I have had enough!” She threw her hands up in the air. “Your issues are yours alone!” She snapped her fingers, “Get over it, Ashur, your daddy and I are fu.ck.ing!'' She made the shape of a circle with one hand while she thrust a finger from her other hand into the circle. Mimicking someone fucking. “It is none of your concern who your father and mother interact with. That is their decision. So if you want to continue following me, and telling the prisoners how I am your little serf so that you feel superior, go ahead, but stay out of my fucking way and keep your hands to yourself!” I snarled, “Or what?” She tried to correct me. “Wrong thing to say! You were to say, … Yes ma’am!” She snapped her fingers and I could not move. Me! Superior to her, was frozen. I could hear the rabbit speaking, “I need something to eat before we head out, care to join me Dath?” She was tilting her head as she waited for an answer, “do not worry about him, he will survive! He needs to learn a lesson the hard way.” Dath strolled over to her, handing a satchel of food to her, “I would not mind joining you!” He glared at me, “this hacheling needs a lesson in respect!” The rabbit was studying the terrain, “I feel at home here!” Motioning with her hands, “I know this area is a desert but I still … I love it here!” “Do you know the history of this region?” Dath asked before putting bread into his mouth. The rabbit shook her head no. “This place used to be the home of the Neruppu paravai … firebirds! It was presumed to be populated with trillions of different species of birds here. The beginning of the elves … fae … elementals and many more species. Then there was a war between the originals … each group wanting superior control and power. When the originals landed here … No one realised that the birds lived here.” Dath placed more food in his mouth. The rabbit had stopped eating and was fully paying attention to the story. “When the knowledge that this region already was claimed, your creator Pirapancam made peace with the firebirds. But not until after the Neruppu paravai took their revenge on the originals. Your bloodline showed their forces in a way that scared the originals. For the longest time there was peace between the originals and the birds.” Dath lowered his head. “There were rumours that there was unrest among the originals, there was a plot to dethrone Pirapancam. Many believe that Pirapancam had been eliminated since no one saw her, that is when Mannel took over … war once again was wagered here … all species here were attacked … the second purge.” Dath brought his attention to the rabbit. “History is repeating itself again Merna … I think your species is the key to gaining control and balance back again. I haven’t forgotten how Mannel had destroyed species, planets, realms all in the name of power … control! I believe you are the key to his undoing!”
