Golden Moon: The Beta Twins' Contracted Mate

Chapter 95 Really Worried

Magnus’ p.o.v. Before Winston can react, Blade has jumped him. Pushing him down to the ground, while Thyrius is stalking toward the other man. Instead of trying anything, he throws up his hands as he looks in my direction. I am not going to stop Thyrius, stopping an angry Bear isn’t on my to-do list for the day. Winston is trying to push Blade off him, but I can guarantee you that he will never succeed. “Get that fucking Bear off me.” Winston yells, but we are just looking at them with our arms crossed in front of our chest. Thyrius is literally face to face with the other man and I watch as the stain on his jeans grows bigger. Gilliam is chuckling in the back of my head; he enjoys seeing both men in discomfort and will not interfere in any way. The man screams as Thyrius places his paw against the man's chest and starts pushing him back toward the wall. “You will answer for your crimes, for all the deaths you have caused. I am just sorry that my Mother isn’t around to see this.” Meadow says as she looks at Winston. “I don’t know who your Mother is and I don’t care, little Bitch.” Winston growls. He screams in agony as Blade puts more weight on the paw that is on Winston’s chest and I hear the satisfying sound of bones breaking. “My Mother is the closest you ever got to a gifted Shifter.” Meadow responds and his eyes widen. “You don’t look…” Winston stops talking because Blade is putting more pressure on his chest. “I know, it isn’t the first time I've heard that. I look like my Grandmother and I am damn proud of it. Uncle Major’s story about my Mother helped me to piece a few things together and the rest was a team effort. To clarify, I am the one who obtained this location from your Mountain Lion. Liquid Oleander can really make a Feline Shifter talk, especially if they are too stupid to understand the meaning of your words.” Meadow says. Winston is still struggling against Blade, but he is making no progress. When that Bear has you pinned down, you are trapped until he releases you himself. Some of the others are still sifting through the papers on the table and only a small fragment of the documents gets placed in a backpack. “We can gather the rest at a later time. Right now, we need to get these two to Renegade territory.” Meadow states. Blade looks over his shoulder at his Mate, disappointment showing in his eyes. I bet that he was hoping to do a little more damage to Winston and Meadow walks over to him with a smile. “Don’t worry. We will be staying in Renegade territory for a while and I will make sure you get to visit him from time to time.” Meadow mumbles. With a huff and another push to his chest, Blade walks away from Winston. Both men are cuffed in seconds and we slowly walk down the stairs. “No one survived out there; they were unwilling to surrender.” Captain Miles says as we reach the bottom of the stairs. “All the SUVs are being retrieved as we speak. The Elders want us back in Renegade territory as fast as we can.” Thyrius and Blade give control back to their Human half the moment Meadow holds out some shorts for them and with our prisoners, we get into the SUVs to head to Renegade territory. We make one stop along the way to get some dinner before getting back on the road. It is dark by the time we reach the territory and the SUV with our prisoners takes a left turn, while we continue toward the Elder Residence. “Let's get some sleep and in the morning, we can ask Elder Chelsea why we had to come here.” Meadow says before she leads us to their Squad house. “Why does Meadow think there is a specific reason for us to be here? It makes sense that the Elders want to question Winston and for him to be held prisoner close to the Palace.” Gilliam asks from the back of my head. I don't have an answer for him and I am too tired to try and find one. We will find out in the morning, after a good night's sleep. A knock on the door pulls me from my sleep and after getting out of bed, I walk toward the door to open it.“Breakfast is served in half an hour. After that, we will have a meeting with Elder Chelsea and Elder Josiah.” A fully dressed Calista says before she turns her back on me. I take a quick shower before I get dressed and find my way down to the dining room. I am waiting in the doorway for the others to show up, while I look around the room. “Meadow returned from her assignment.” I hear someone to my left say and turn around in time to see a man looking really pissed off. “That Bitch caused my Brother his place in a Squad. I wish she would just disappear, she thinks that she is better than the rest of us.” The man responds. Gilliam doesn't like his disrespect, but we manage to control our anger and listen to the conversation. “She is better than most of us. She trains like a maniac, she can kick ass and she has been able to solve more cases with her team than any other team. You are just jealous.” The woman I heard previously states. “She is an arrogant little Bitch. It wouldn't surprise me if her fated Mate would reject her. I doubt she would ever find a place within a Pack's leadership, she doesn't trust men and she will never take orders from an Alpha for that reason.” The man growls. Gilliam has had enough and pushes forward enough to make it known to everyone that an Alpha stepped into the room. “Meadow will be the next Beta female of Gold Moon Pack, she is mated to my Betas and I will always value her opinion. She is a better Shifter than you will ever be and I hope that our paths will never cross.” Gilliam says. I allow him to stay in charge because he is my other half and we both feel the same about Meadow. “In case you aren't aware of it, I will enlighten you. My Father is Alpha Lincoln.” Gilliam growls as he leans toward the man, who looks really worried.
