Golden Moon: The Beta Twins' Contracted Mate

Chapter 84 Giant Bears

Meadow’s p.o.v. Our descent into the dungeon is slow and I expect to hear a loud creak at any moment. She is ours, I hear and for a moment, I believe Makay or Myka spoke, but the voice doesn’t sound like theirs. Neither of them reacts to the voice and that confuses me even more. After a few more steps down the stairs, I hear, "She is ours." I grab Myka’s shoulder to stop him from moving forward, and I listen even more carefully; neither of them has heard the voice, and after hearing it repeatedly, I come to a conclusion. “I think I have discovered my ability, I can hear someone’s thoughts. I keep hearing the exact phrase over and over again, She is ours.” I tell them through our mind-link and both stare at me, flabbergasted. We slowly move down the hall until we reach the main entrance to the dungeon, where three smaller hallways split off. From Elder Chelsea’s description, we know that the hallways to our left and right only hold a few cells and the hallway in front of us has over fifteen cells. “On the right, down that hallway is a room the Guards used during their night shift.” Myka says and we slowly move toward the hallway in front of us. “HELP.” We hear coming from the hallway. “Shut up. No one is going to hear you and by the time someone figures this out, you will be ours.” Rory responds and Rebel pushes forward to assist me if I need her. “What do you want from me? I rejected your pathetic ass.” Felicity asks and I see that Makay has activated the recorder on his phone. “You will accept me as your Mate and I will lead Light Ridge Pack.” Rory replies, while Myka looks at me over his shoulder with a smirk on his face. Apparently, Rory hasn’t paid much attention to Light Ridge Pack or he would have known how stupid his remark is. “Then you will have to accept my Brother as your Mate.” Felicity counters. “But I don’t think he is into men.” For a few moments, the hallway was silent, but not in my head. What the fuck is she talking about? How the hell am I supposed to know? Dad never said anything about his Son being the oldest. Okay, this is creepy. I heard two distinct voices in my head, but not from the same person. It was as if I were listening to a conversation, but I doubt Rory would have taken an accomplice with him. “Maybe you heard him talking to his Wolf.” Rebel suggests and I grab hold of Makay’s arm to stop myself from stumbling. “Angel, what is going on?” Makay asks, while Myka steps a little closer to help support me. “Later.” That's all I get to say, because Rory is back to speaking to Felicity. “You are the oldest twin and therefore your Mate will become the Alpha.” Rory points out, but I know that this is a rumor Alpha Damon spread himself. Most men are too blunt when it comes to pursuing a woman for status gain and are too stupid to be able to trap a woman. “I am not, but you can ask my Father if you don’t believe me.” Felicity replies. A thud is heard as the wall begins to shake slightly. It sounds like Rory punched the wall. We can hear Felicity's short laugh through the closed door and I really hope she isn’t trying to provoke the Idiot. “This Wolfsbane will wear off soon and then my Father will know where we are. Or did you honestly believe I didn’t know about the old dungeon?” Felicity states. Damn, that girl is really trying to tick Rory off. “SHUT THE FUCK UP.” His Wolf roars, shaking the walls even more. Great thinking, Asshole. Alpha Damon will feel the shaking of the walls down here and know where his Daughter is without her warning him. “You do realize you just gave away our position, Dumbass.” Felicity says, chuckling. “Let’s get her out before he loses it.” Myka says and we move as one toward the door. Myka pulls open the door while Makay gets ready to take Rory down and I rush past him to protect Felicity. Rory is able to lash out at me as I run past him, slashing my upper arm with his claw and I am grateful that Felicity is able to stop me from crashing into the wall. We both turn around at the sound of bones being rearranged and the room is definitely too small for two pissed off Grizzly Bears. “Thyrius, Blade.” I call out to get their attention. “Make sure he survives.” I am not going to stop them from roughing him up, but I want him to answer for his crimes. Blade moves out of the room, but blocks Rory’s only way out of the dungeon and Thyrius pushes him into the hallway. Even if Rory shifts to his Wolf form, he won’t be able to win and he seems to understand that as he slowly backs away from Blade and Thyrius. “Are they always this intense?” Felicity asks as we step out of the small room, watching Blade and Thyrius move closer to Rory. “This happens to any Shifter if you attack their Mate, especially if you manage to hurt them.” I answer her. Felicity suddenly swings her elbow back and a loud groan is heard when her elbow connects with whoever stepped behind her. “Damn, that hurt.” I hear someone mutter and to my surprise, Felicity giggles. “I have warned you about sneaking up on me and now you pay the price, Dad.” She responds, but she doesn’t take her eyes off my Mates and little Asshole. Thyrius and Blade both take a swing at him before forcing him back into a wall, while Captain Miles passes me to take Rory into custody. The moment Captain Miles has a hold on Rory, Blade and Thyrius turn toward me, whimpering as they approach me. “I am fine. Rebel already healed me, see.” I say as I turn my arm toward them, but it doesn’t seem to put them at ease. I pull up the sleeve of Myka’s shirt to show them that it is all healed up and I get flattened between two giant Bears.
