Gold Moon Pack “Told you she wouldn’t hold it against you.” Misha says after River has ended the call with his long lost Sister. River had been nervous to tell Meadow about his Mate-bond, mostly because of his Father’s ideas on the Mate-bond. He didn’t know Meadow well enough to know how she would feel about her Brother having a male as his Mate, but it was clear to see that she didn’t care. She was happy for him and even though it will take some time for them to meet in person, he knows she will be there for him. River finishes packing his suitcases, there aren’t many personal items he wants to take with him. No pictures of his Mother and Sister, no presents he got from either of them and for the first time in his life, he feels that a huge chunk of his life is missing. “It’s going to be fine. Once this assignment is done, she will drop by and you will get to know the smart and funny girl that I met.” Misha says, before he pulls River against his chest to kiss him. It is difficult for both of them to keep their hands off the other, and every chance they get, their hands are on the other’s body. Usually it ends with both of them butt naked and missing a meal, not that either one of them cares. The door opens slightly, “Are you both decent?” Myka asks, not taking a chance after the last time he walked into this room and found his Brother going at it with his Mate. “Yes, Myka. It is safe to open the door and come in without getting scarred for life.” Misha says with a chuckle. “Ready to see a shitshow?” River asks Myka and he holds up his phone to show River that he came prepared. “Good, the more angles she can see it from the better.” Misha had ensured everyone knew that Meadow wanted footage from River’s revelation and that Myka had jumped at the opportunity to get revenge on former Beta Rhys wasn’t surprising anyone. Misha wasn’t the only one who had traveled to Gold Moon for a few days, Marisol had convinced Mylah and Makayla to come along and River had enjoyed the trip back to Gold Moon with the girls in the vehicle. That was until they found out how he had treated his baby Sister. They had made it clear that if he ever treated them or Meadow like that again, no one would be able to find his body and Misha had offered his help in digging the grave. “How did Meadow react?” Marisol asks while they walk down the stairs and he smiles at the memory of their conversation. “I might have made her think that something terrible happened and she called me an Asshole when she realized I had been kidding her. Misha was right though, she doesn’t give a shit.” River answers Marisol and they laugh as they enter the main dining room.“River, aren’t you going to introduce me to your Mate? You have been back for two days and you still haven’t shown your Mate off to anyone.” Rhys asks while he is smiling at Marisol. Marisol walks past Rhys to sit down between her parents, her phone in her hand and she leans back to get a good view of everyone involved. “Sorry, Dad. I was busy with unfinished business. I can’t leave a mess behind, now can I?” River asks, while he looks at his Father and his Father looks over his shoulder at Marisol with confusion written all over his face. “It is nice to meet you, former Beta Rhys. I am Misha, River’s fated Mate.” Misha says the moment Rhys turns his head back to look at River. “WHAT THE FUCK? YOU BETTER REJECT HIM, NO SON OF MINE WILL BE MATED TO A MALE.” Rhys roars at River, but if he thought this was the only surprise River had for him, he better think again.“Dad, I don’t care what you say or how you feel about this. The only opinions that matter to me are those of my Uncle and my baby Sister; they both are happy for me.” River states and Rhys nearly explodes in fury. “You don’t have…” Rhys doesn’t get the chance to finish his sentence, because River’s Wolf grabs him by the throat. “I have a baby Sister and you chased her off, I know what happened with Mom and that you told nothing but lies. And for your information, Elder Major is my Uncle.” River’s Wolf growls in Rhys’ face. Once River has regained control, he drops Rhys to the floor and walks over to the table to sit down next to his Mother in law. She wraps an arm around his shoulder and kisses him on the cheek, knowing he has missed a Mother’s love his entire life. Misha sits down on River’s other side and places his hand in River’s hair, pulling him closer for a deep kiss. Whispering “I love you” with their foreheads pressed together and a roar is heard from behind them.“Rhys, this is your only warning. Stay away from River for the rest of the time he is still within the territory, he is the future Beta of Black Valley Pack and my Son in law.” Beta Lennox says and many Pack-members start cheering. “Alpha Lincoln, you can’t allow this. River is the future Beta of Gold Moon Pack, he can’t move to Black Valley Pack.” Mia says. “My Son can’t run this territory without a Beta and you are well aware of that.” “Who says that Rory will take over this territory? I still haven’t made up my mind about that and River made the decision to move to Black Valley Pack.” Alpha Lincoln responds. River is too busy enjoying the attention from his Mate to see the death glares he gets from Rory and Rufus, but I doubt he would have cared if he noticed. Marisol stops recording after Rhys has stomped out of the main dining room and sends the footage to River’s phone, knowing that Meadow will receive it soon enough.
