Reborn as the Baby Sister Everyone Spoiled—and the One He Loved
"He was neutered by his new girlfriend." Elaine spoke nonchalantly, casually holding Hannah's arm as she spoke. "Huh?" Hannah's attention snapped to the words, her gaze instinctively following Elaine's.. When she saw Philip, his pants drenched in blood, her face turned a deep shade of red. She was barely an adult! After a few moments of stunned silence, it sank in. "New girlfriend? Elaine, are you saying Philip betrayed Anna?" Elaine nodded. "Yes. Not only did he betray Anna, but he also brought his new girlfriend to the hospital to mock her. That's why Anna fainted." "What?" Hannah's focus shifted immediately. She rushed over to Anna's bedside, panic tightening in her chest. "A-Anna, are you okay?" Elaine remained calm, her voice soothing. "She just had a shock, nothing serious. She'll be fine after some rest." Anna will recover. When she wakes up, I'll just tell her that her legs are fine. But right now ... Elaine's eyes flicked with distaste toward the two unconscious bodies lying nearby. She took out her phone and, after a brief hesitation, dialed Jay's number. Her phone held the Currans family's contact information, thanks to Rebecca. "Hello, who is this?" Jay had just finished surgery, changed out of his scrubs, and was returning to his office. He hadn't even had a chance to drink some water when the phone rang. "It's me."Elaine's voice came through cool and distant. "Elaine?" Jay immediately recognized her voice. That brat's voice is quite easy on the ears. It's sweet and ethereal, but now it sounds icy. "Yeah." Elaine gave a short response. "Dad said if anything happens at the hospital, I should look for you." Jay raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? What happened? Do you need something?" That brat's actually asking me for help? Despite their argument yesterday, where she refused to call him 'Jay,' he felt a bit of satisfaction that she'd come to him. But he couldn't deny that he missed the days when she used to call him sweetly, 'Jay.' He looked forward to that moment returning. Elaine said, "You'll find out when you get here." It was too complicated to explain over the phone. Jay asked, "Where are you?" Elaine responded, "Anna's room." Jay didn't hesitate. "Alright, I'll be there soon." A few minutes later, Jay arrived at Anna's room. When he saw Philip and Wilda collapsed on the floor, blood pooling around them, his expression shifted to one of mild shock. "What happened here?" Elaine's face remained emotionless as she explained, "They're a couple. They fought, and she ... castrated him." Jay blinked, clearly taken aback. After a moment, he glared at Elaine. "You brat, don't use that word!"It was crude, even for her. Elaine raised an eyebrow. "Which word?" I've said plenty. Jay scowled. "You know what word!" Elaine didn't feel like arguing. She frowned, then said, "Just clean up this mess, or he might die." Death would be too easy for someone like Philip. He should suffer—live a life worse than an animal's, and for a hundred years. Only then would the resentment be truly satisfied. Jay furrowed his brow. "If they're a couple, why would they fight in Anna's room?" He needed to understand the full story. Elaine shot him an exasperated look. "This j*rk is Anna's ex. After Anna's accident, he came to visit. His new girlfriend didn't like that, so she attacked him. Got it?" Haven't I explained this already? Is Jay really so slow to understand simple things? Jay nodded, then clarified, "So, this has to do with your friend, and you need my help with the aftermath." Elaine's patience was thinning. "Are you going to help or not?"
