Reborn as the Baby Sister Everyone Spoiled—and the One He Loved
"No! Wilda! Don't hurt me!" Philip's voice cracked with panic as he instinctively grabbed at his waistband, his face twisted in terror. He had seen Elaine a few times before—always kind, warm-hearted, far from the person standing before him now. But now, she radiated a chilling energy, a presence so cold it sent a shiver down his spine. Philip was genuinely afraid for his life. Elaine crouched down, her grip tightening around Wilda's collar as she lifted her with ease, forcing her to kneel before her. She made Wilda look her in the eyes, the two of them locked in an intense stare. A strange smile twisted Elaine's lips."I may not have the right to do this, but you do." "I ... I ... No! I can't! I won't hurt Philip!" Wilda's voice was frantic as she shook her head, her hands trembling. "You will." Elaine's smile grew colder, her eyes narrowing. "Look into my eyes." What had once been warm and inviting now seemed dark, almost endless, like deep voids pulling Wilda in. Unable to break the gaze, Wilda felt her own mind beginning to fog over, her eyes glazing as if under some kind of spell. "Wilda, your boyfriend, Philip, is standing right in front of you, talking to his ex. You're angry, so you pick up the knife and cut it off. "Cut it off! Cut it off!" Wilda repeated the words like a broken record, her voice empty and robotic, as if someone else were speaking through her. "Pick up the knife. Do what you've been itching to do." Elaine's voice was cold as she pushed Wilda aside, her tone like ice. With no hesitation, Wilda reached for the knife, her actions stiff and mechanical, as though she were being controlled by invisible strings. Philip watched in shock, unable to comprehend what was unfolding before him. "What have you done? What did you do to her?" Just moments ago, he had thought Elaine was beautiful, captivating. Now, she was nothing but a viper, her beauty turned toxic, dangerous to anyone who came too close. Elaine chuckled coldly, completely ignoring his cries, as Wilda, knife in hand, moved toward Philip. "No! Wilda, stop!" Philip tried to back away, but the pain from his broken ribs made every movement unbearable. He was helpless against Wilda, whose actions were being controlled by Elaine's will. "Ah!" A scream filled the room, echoing with agony. Elaine stood nearby, observing with icy detachment. Philip, bloodied and barely able to stay conscious, twisted in pain. Elaine snapped her fingers. "Wilda thought you were still in love with Anna, so she decided to take matters into her own hands. Do you get it?"Philip's vision blurred, and his eyes fluttered shut as he teetered on the edge of unconsciousness. Elaine turned to Wilda. "Do you understand?" "Yes." Wilda's response was hollow, her expression blank. Without a word, Elaine struck Wilda with a quick, precise blow to the neck, knocking her out cold. Elaine stood over the two of them, a smug smile tugging at her lips. I can't let this kind of scum cause more damage to others. Today, I made sure this problem has been completely eradicated. The ancient curse she had placed on them came from the world to which she had been transmigrated, a place full of dark, forbidden powers. It was dangerous, rarely used, but these two had made Anna's life unbearable in their past lives. Now, they would experience a torment beyond anything death could offer. Knock, knock, knock! "Anna, Elaine, why's the door locked?" Hannah's voice broke the silence as she returned. Elaine glanced at the two unconscious bodies near the wall and made her way to the door. She opened it, and Hannah stepped inside, her eyes widening at the sight of the blood-soaked floor. She almost dropped the water bottle she had been carrying. "Philip? What happened to Philip?" She quickly set the bottle down and rushed over to check on his condition.
