Seraphina Is Back—and She’s Not Alone

Chapter 219 Thomas' Injury

Everyone on the set turned instinctively at the sound, their eyes widening in shock. Thomas quickly turned around, only to have a powerful gust of wind rush at him, followed by the flash of a sharp knife aimed directly at his chest. The attack came so fast, too sudden for him to dodge. In the blink of an eye, Thomas seized the blade with his bare hands, locking the sharp weapon in his grip, blood pouring from his palm. Before anyone could react, Seraphina rushed forward and kicked the attacker, Zane, sending him crashing to the ground. She quickly moved in, kneeling on Zane's back and locking his hands behind him, rendering him immobile. The scene unfolded so rapidly that the surrounding staff were still in a daze. It wasn't until they heard Seraphina's command that they snapped out of it. "Someone, hold him down!"Mr. Reid, now fully aware of the situation, was both shocked and furious. "What are you standing around for? Go help!" The crew quickly sprang into action, subduing the violent Zane. Dora and the others watched, wide-eyed, impressed by how clean and efficient Seraphina's actions were—from her quick warning to her decisive moves. Seraphina approached Thomas. "How's your hand?" Thomas opened his palm to reveal a deep, long gash, blood and flesh mixed together, with blood continuously flowing from the wound. Seeing the injury, Michael turned pale with anger. "Get the first aid kit!" Mr. Reid also looked at the wound with a sense of urgency. "Call an ambulance, now!" Michael shot Zane a furious glare but didn't question him further; however, he certainly wasn't going to let this go without consequences.Having worked with Thomas for many years, this was the first time he had seen him suffer such a severe injury, and Michael couldn't contain his anger. "My God, it's so deep," Lily exclaimed, her face filled with concern and fear. "If it's not treated properly, there could be a scar." The set's doctor rushed in with a first aid kit and began administering emergency treatment: disinfecting the wound with hydrogen peroxide and applying bandages to stop the bleeding. "The wound is too deep; he needs to go to the hospital immediately. If it's close to a tendon, it could cause long-term complications. Don't wait for the ambulance—take him to the hospital now." "That won't work," Seraphina said suddenly, her voice calm but firm. Everyone looked at her, confused. "The nearest hospital is on the way to Loving Kindergarten, and it's dismissal time, so the roads will be packed with parents picking up their kids," she explained. "So what do we do? We can't risk delays with a wound this serious—what if there are complications?" "Find a motorcycle or electric scooter. I'll drive him. I know a shortcut that will save us a lot of time," Seraphina spoke with calm determination. Michael nodded. "Alright, we'll leave it to you. You go ahead; we'll follow." Thomas, who had always been the focus of everyone's protection, had no say in the matter and quietly watched them make arrangements for him. Seeing the concern on the little girl's face, Thomas felt a warmth in his heart. Not wanting her to worry too much, he said with a smile, "It's really not that serious. Don't worry, everyone." But as soon as he spoke, he was met with disapproving looks from everyone, their brows furrowed, expressions tense. Thomas shrugged helplessly, giving in to their care.Soon, a motorcycle was brought to the set. Seraphina helped both herself and Thomas put on helmets, then sped off with him toward the hospital.
