Seraphina Is Back—and She’s Not Alone

Chapter 218 Watch Out for Thomas

Thanks to Seraphina's plea for mercy, the head of the stage crew, Zane, was allowed to stay. Filming continued. During a break, Michael approached Mr. Reid, handing him a cup of coffee, and said with a smile, "The daughter of the Drakon Family looks quite photogenic." Mr. Reid paused for a moment. "Drakon Family?" Michael grinned. "Yes, the Drakon Family from Pearlpoint." "Which one?" Mr. Reid had a sinking feeling. Michael pointed to Evelyn, who was standing in front of the camera. "That's her. This little girl has quite the temper. She's like a ticking time bomb." The director and the staff looked uneasy, especially the assistant to the actress, Lily, who was visibly shaking.Michael patted the director's assistant on the shoulder and said, "These are no ordinary kids; they're not just any extras." His meaning was clear. These students weren't the kind of people the crew could just mess with. The staff knew they were from Bloomington School, but they hadn't realized that even one of them could have such a powerful background. Mr. Reid smiled and said, "I almost forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder. Owen, make sure to tell the team to be more respectful around these students. Don't be bossing them around." The assistant, Owen, nodded and immediately went to relay the message. Michael had made his point, and now he stepped back, satisfied with his work. But what he didn't know was that Mr. Reid was thinking about things on a much deeper level. The head of the stage crew knew these students were from elite schools, and if a minor issue like this was mishandled, it could cause bigger problems for the whole crew. They couldn't afford to let anyone treat these students poorly. If these students decided to take revenge, it could seriously damage the production. No, someone like Zane couldn't stay. He had to be removed. Filming on the campus was set for three days, and the first day dragged on late into the night. The privileged students, unaccustomed to long hours, were complaining non-stop. "Wrap it up! Wrap it up!" The next day, as filming resumed, Zane was gone. Everyone in the crew knew that Mr. Reid had decided to let him go. By the afternoon, a group of people was resting under the shade of a tree. Kelly walked over to Seraphina and the others, sneering. "Some people are so fake." "What do you mean?" Seraphina asked, her tone sharp.Kelly scoffed. "It's simple, really. Some people act all nice in front of everyone, saying they don't care, but behind the scenes, they're the ones getting people fired. Zane only yelled at you guys a few times, and now he loses his job? Is that really necessary?" "We didn't get him fired," Evelyn snapped back. "It was the crew who decided that. What does that have to do with us?" "Don't tell me this isn't about you. Isn't it because of you that he lost his job?" Kelly taunted. Evelyn was infuriated by her twisted logic. "Why don't you mention that he started the trouble first? If he hadn't caused a scene, none of this would have happened." Kelly snorted and turned away without responding. "What a person," Evelyn muttered, still angry. Seraphina, calm as ever, spoke up. "She's just trying to get under your skin. If you let her succeed in making you angry, she wins." As soon as Seraphina said this, Evelyn and Dora stopped being upset. "I'm not falling for her tricks," Evelyn said, shaking her head. Dora nodded in agreement. At the same time, Zane, the head of the stage crew, walked onto the set. The crew members, seeing him, exchanged sympathetic glances, but none of them made the mistake of speaking up for him. Zane scanned the area, his eyes locking on Thomas. Slowly, he made his way toward him. When he got close, he pulled a knife from his jacket and lunged at Thomas. Standing nearby, Seraphina saw the glint of the blade, and her heart skipped a beat. Noticing that Thomas was in danger, she instinctively shouted, "Watch out!"
