The Apocalypse Wolf Queen
Third-person POV: Outside the school. In just a few moments, an entire division of special operations forces had assembled outside Astralis College. All the werewolf warriors wore solemn expressions. Even their breathing maintained a disciplined rhythm. After Darius arrived in wolf form, he didn't hesitate for a second and headed straight for the campus gates. But before he could get close, Hugo suddenly stopped him. "Mr. Blackwood! Danger!" Darius's golden wolf eyes narrowed as he stared at the tightly shut gates ahead, only then noticing the crackling sound of electrical current running through them. Without even thinking about it, he knew that one touch would turn him to a crisp. This was ... "It's that same mysterious power we've encountered before!" Lorcan's voice came through their mind-link. Darius instantly understood. No wonder the Greywolf mercenaries could escape successfully after committing crimes in various places. Turns out they had someone like this in their ranks ... He shifted back to human form and asked with a frown, "What's the situation inside right now?" Hugo's brows were tightly knit. "Not clear at the moment. But we can't force our way in right now. Besides, they're holding hostages. The entire academy is under their control. "According to the intercepted radio signals, they've planted quite a few bombs throughout the academy. And ... an explosion already went off just now. Right now all we can do is trap Greywolf inside, buy more time to stall them, and figure out another plan."Darius's expression darkened. Already exploded? He shoved Hugo's hand away and stepped forward to force his way through. "Mr. Blackwood! You absolutely cannot!" Hugo quickly grabbed him. The frustration Darius had been building up all day finally erupted completely. He didn't care about Hugo's position at all and kicked him away. "It's not your wife in there!" Hugo was a general in the Astralis Empire, yet he'd been kicked by Darius right in front of everyone! The surrounding werewolf warriors snapped to attention, staring straight ahead and pretending not to see a thing. Hugo could only swallow his anger. If it had been anyone else who kicked him, he would've shot them dead already, but since it was Darius, he could only choke it down!To be fair, Darius's move was crude, but it was exactly the kind of dominance a top-tier Alpha should have! "Mr. Blackwood, don't forget that all the students and teachers in the academy are in their hands. We already heard gunfire earlier. We can't take that risk!" Only then did Darius calm down and say in a low voice, "Our side has already decrypted the information you sent over. Greywolf was hired by the Rexford Empire this time to launch this armed terrorist attack. Their goal is to destroy all of the Astralis Empire's future heirs." "Damn it!" Hugo slammed his fist into the car door beside him, leaving a large dent. Darius's eyes narrowed. "As for the Rexford Empire, tell my great-uncle that I'll handle this matter personally." Hugo was full of rage but could only respond, "Understood, Mr. Blackwood." Darius looked at Astralis College standing before him like an iron fortress and asked again, "Where did you get your intel from?"Hugo answered honestly. "Radio waves sent from inside Astralis College?" Darius's voice rose, his gaze locking onto the academy that had suddenly fallen into an eerie silence. "Carl, immediately have someone deliver the company's newly developed product." "Yes, sir." After receiving the order, Carl turned and quickly went to make a phone call. Hugo wondered to himself what kind of ace Darius was planning to pull out. Darius's gaze never left Astralis College ahead. His vision pierced through several hundred yards of distance, landing on the man in combat gear and military boots standing at the top of the tower. His eyes suddenly turned sharp, cold light churning in their depths. Thora, you better be okay. Otherwise ...
