The Apocalypse Wolf Queen
Third-person POV: All the students and teachers were forced to huddle together by the mercenaries' heavy weapons. Seeing them behave obediently, the mercenaries finally moved a bit farther away, holding their guns and standing guard outside. Felix in the crowd remembered Thora's earlier teachings. Without sufficient strength, running away or showing weakness was simply a means of preserving your strength to fight another day. Despite feeling frustrated right now, without enough certainty of winning, he still didn't step forward. He just looked at his phone that still had no signal, his anxiety growing by the second. Where was his sister? How was she doing right now?... In another basement location were the principal, the school's leadership, and students from some of the classes. After receiving Thora's instructions, Harvey had immediately gone to Class S to find Felix, but he was a step too late. The Class S students had already left. Then he led the Class F students to bring out the principal and the academy's leadership. At the principal's suggestion, Harvey brought them to hide in this special basement. This had been built to anti-terrorism standards. Never mind conventional weapons, even the full-force impact of an S-rank wolf spirit or a small nuclear device couldn't penetrate the walls. ... At this moment, Thora had just finished dismantling the bomb in the electrical room and was preparing to go to the next location. Shirley followed close behind her."Someone's coming." Shirley lightened her steps. Thora removed the bracelet from her wrist and in just a few moves had already assembled it into a handgun, gripping it in her hand. This slick move left Shirley stunned for a good moment. There was tech like this? What kind of black ops gadget was this? Thora's ear twitched. The sounds in the distance were getting closer, and at the same time, she heard a slight movement hidden in an even more concealed location. That was their sniper. "I heard you're a sniper." Thora silently counted down in her mind while speaking. A flash of surprise crossed Shirley's eyes, but she didn't hide it. Instead, she was a bit excited that Thora had figured her out. "Yeah, but I didn't bring a gun to school. Besides, my wolf power is temporarily sealed."Thora tightened her grip on the trigger, her brows lowering. "Sniping depends on accuracy, not wolf power. As for your gun, you'll have one soon." Just as she finished speaking, her mental countdown also reached zero. She sidestepped and fired a shot around the corner in the other direction. A mercenary in camouflage combat gear instantly fell to the ground. Thora had installed a suppressor beforehand, so there was no gunshot sound at all. But her position was now exposed. Shirley immediately took cover. In an instant, a bullet shot toward Thora from a corner. But as if Thora had foreseen it, she'd already rolled to the side before the bullet arrived. The bullet missed. Thora immediately spun around, aimed at the three o'clock position, and fired. Headshot! "Three o'clock position. Go get your weapon." Thora's tone was commanding. Shirley's eyes lit up as she looked at Thora with newfound worship. She got up and immediately headed toward the three o'clock position. Before long, Shirley already had a sniper rifle slung over her shoulder. She had none of her earlier sweet, adorable appearance. Her whole demeanor had become wild and dangerous. Thora's expression didn't change at all as she calmly commanded, "Go find your vantage point." The moment Thora finished that sentence, Shirley's figure had already disappeared. Besides exceptional eyesight and shooting ability, snipers also needed camouflage and concealment skills. So Thora didn't concern herself with where Shirley went and quietly began avoiding the mercenaries, advancing toward the next bomb location. Shirley quickly found a nearby vantage point, set up the sniper rifle, aimed in Thora's direction, and moved the barrel to follow Thora's movements, watching all the activity around her. Even though the distance was far, to her it was like being right in front of her. Only after Thora had walked some distance did Shirley slowly shift her own position, providing covert protection. ... Just after Thora and the others left, Alissa had already arrived at the electrical room with her people. When she saw the bomb that had already been dismantled, her expression darkened. She immediately pulled out a walkie-talkie. "Boss, someone dismantled the bomb I planted. There's a meddling pest in the school. I'm going to clean it up now."Lance put down the walkie-talkie. With one foot propped on the rooftop steps, he looked down at the vast Astralis College below. "A meddling pest?" He smiled. "Could it be you, my dear little one?" Come to think of it, this really was getting exciting.
