The Apocalypse Wolf Queen

Chapter 195 His Thora

Thora had planned to stay at the hospital all day to take care of Felix. But she didn't expect Carl to show up again and again, trying to "invite" her to Darius's room. "Ms. Green, Mr. Blackwood has fainted. "Ms. Green, Mr. Blackwood took the wrong medicine and is throwing up like crazy." When Carl poked his head in for the third time, he froze under Thora's cold stare and forced the words out. "Ms. Green, Mr. Blackwood says ... he misses you so much that his wounds hurt." After being reminded by Thora, Carl made sure never to call her "Luna." And because Alpha had promised him that every successful visit would earn him a bonus and every failure would cause him to lose all of them, Carl was giving it everything he had. This was for his future funds to marry a mate, after all. Honestly, compared to Darius's shamelessness, Carl was still far behind. At first, Thora ignored him completely and even kicked him out, but Carl was impossible to shake off. The whole scene made Felix clench his fists in anger. Even the IV needle in the back of his hand shook as he wished he could rip it out and run over to strangle that "fake brother-in-law" who kept stealing his sister. That guy isn't my brother-in-law. As long as I don't agree to it, he won't have a chance! What kind of man targets his own brother-in-law like this? That man is clearly here to steal Thora away! In the end, Thora gave in. After Carl bothered her five times, she finally walked toward Darius's room. Seeing Darius lying on the bed, groaning, she scolded him in a low voice. "Tristan and Harvey wouldn't make a sound even if a knife went into their bones. Meanwhile, you're acting like you're dying over this little injury. Are you even a man?" Darius felt no shame at all. Instead, he looked at Thora helplessly and played the victim with a straight face. "That's why they don't need comfort. I do." With such a handsome face, that expression looked strangely out of place. Thora stepped closer and pinched both his cheeks. "Do you know what you have that they do not?" Thora said calmly. Darius's eyes lit up. "What is it?" "You're much more fun to hit." Thora tugged at the corner of her mouth and yanked his cheeks hard as she spoke. "Mmm ... " Darius made a very strange sound. Anyone hearing it would think something else was happening in the room. Outside the door, Carl quickly touched his nose and took a couple of quiet steps back, pretending not to hear anything. Thora looked at his twisted face and snorted before letting go. "I'm leaving." "Where are you going?" Darius demanded at once, his tone dark with a hint of accusation. But when he met Thora's glance, he softened instantly. "Where are you going, my dear?" His pitiful look almost overflowed. Thora had been a little annoyed, but the moment she saw how miserable he looked, her anger simply melted away. She answered flatly, "To cut my hair." Her hair had grown so long that it was getting in the way and needed trimming. Darius sat up right away. "I'll do it." Cutting hair was the kind of thing that brought people closer, and he wasn't letting anyone else do it. "Carl!" "Yes?" Carl rushed in immediately. "Get me a full set of professional haircut tools," Darius ordered. "Huh?" Carl froze but answered right away. "Okay." Thora blinked. "You're cutting my hair? You know how?" "Of course." Seeing how confident he was, Thora didn't refuse. Since he could cut hair, it saved her a trip outside. She told him what she wanted. "Just cut it as short as before." In no time, Carl returned with a professional haircut kit. Thora sat upright and glanced suspiciously at Darius as he got to work. "You really know how?" Darius spun the scissors in his fingers a few times with smooth skill, a smile on his lips. "Trust me."Thora said nothing more. She closed her eyes, her fingers curling unconsciously. This was the first time she had ever handed her "look" over to someone else, even though she never cared much about appearances. Darius's playful motion with the scissors stopped, and his eyes drifted to Thora's face without him realizing it. It was his first time seeing her with her eyes closed. Her lashes were long and thick, like tiny brushes resting against her skin. Even with her eyes shut, the shape of those eyes looked surprisingly beautiful. His gaze slid down along the bridge of her nose, brushed past her pressed lips, and settled on her collarbone, faintly hidden by her shirt collar. His Thora was no longer only cold and guarded toward him. This rare softness made him slow his breathing without noticing.
