The Apocalypse Wolf Queen
After about ten minutes, Thora felt that there was no more movement on her head, so she slowly opened her eyes. The moment she did, a magnified handsome face suddenly appeared in front of her. Thora frowned. "Are you done?" Darius smiled and nodded. "All done." Thora stood up, said "Thank you," and was about to leave. "Don't you want to look in the mirror?" Darius called after her. Thora didn't turn around. "No need." After saying that, she walked straight out and headed toward Felix's room. Even though she left firmly, when she passed the hallway window, she still couldn't help glancing to the side. What surprised her was that Darius, the Alpha of Nightclaw Pack and CEO of Skybound Group, was actually very good at cutting hair. The length was exactly the same as before, and the lines were clean and neat with no stray strands at all, making her features look even sharper and fresher. In the reflection on the glass, Amie's faint figure appeared quietly behind her. "He really isn't a bad choice." The corner of Thora's lips lifted almost invisibly as she kept walking. "That's a bit hasty, don't you think?" "I'm just stating facts." Amie's voice was calm and steady. "He's strong, well-connected, rich, and more importantly, he supports our goals without conditions. A person like that is a qualified partner." This time, Thora didn't argue. A qualified partner. The description did fit. The road she planned to walk, the things she meant to do, were never going to be bound by a contract or a mate bond. "If I get the chance, I want to meet his wolf," Amie suddenly said. "This is the first time you have ever been curious about someone else's wolf. Are you trying to see if he is our destined mate?" There was a trace of emotion in Thora's voice. "You should know that in the apocalypse, survival and power come first for werewolves. The idea of fated mates has long faded away. Even if his wolf were awake, we still can't identify any so-called fated mate." "Of course, I know." Amie swished her tail. "I just sense that his power is very unusual. Even while his wolf sleeps, that strange energy cannot be hidden. If I get the chance, I want a real fight with him." "You will get your chance." Thora curved her lips slightly. That was exactly what she wanted too. Up to now, she still had not truly seen Darius's real strength.Their past encounters had all been restrained. Or rather, he had held back on purpose and stopped early, leaving her unsatisfied. ... After the bullet was removed, Felix prepared to leave the hospital. The Greens never received any news, and no one came to visit him during his stay. All paperwork was handled by Thora, who was already 18 and legally his guardian. Felix didn't plan to inform them either. To him, having Thora was enough. The rest of the Greens meant nothing. Thora had two guards send Felix back to her villa, while she took a detour to the outskirts of the city to a place called Clearwave Sanatorium. It was a hospital that claimed to be a "private luxury care center" to outsiders and was rarely known by the public. Felix said that after Marlon became a coma patient, he was secretly transferred here. Now there were many guards outside his room, and no one was allowed to visit freely. Even Norman had been stopped at the door. He had only visited once and was refused entry after that. Thora was worried about Marlon's health, but he was even more curious about the origin of those guards who parachuted in. Instead of going back to the villa, she came straight to this quiet sanatorium hidden among trees. The sound of steady footsteps echoed through the hallway, and the soldiers guarding the room instantly went on alert. When they saw it was Thora, they immediately stepped aside respectfully. "Commander Green." "You know who I am," Thora stated plainly. The leading soldier nodded. "We were ordered not to block you, Commander Green. We were shown your photo in advance." Thora scanned their tense stances. They wore black combat uniforms with no rank insignia on their shoulders and no emblems on their collars. They were not soldiers from any regular unit. But the pressure they gave off was even stronger than that of formal troops. Her heart stirred slightly, and she asked in a low voice, "Do you know my identity?" "We do not. We were only told that you hold the rank of major general. Nothing else was disclosed." His answer was flawless. Wolffang Unit was a top-secret force, and all personal information was strictly classified. Even though Norman knew she had joined the Wolffang Unit, he did not know her exact rank or duties. Thora stared into his eyes, her voice turning colder. "Who sent you here?"
