When the Galaxy Wept

Chapter 92 Let It Go

She hit the ergate with all her anger and sadness, hitting with her fists like raindrops again and again. Compared to that huge ergate, her slim body was as weak as a child, but she killed the ergate with determination and all her strength! “Alright! It’s dead! Let it go!” Colman stood beside her and grabbed her arms with his bronze hands, which were covered with blood. She looked up, glaring at Colman, then pulled the knife out from the ergate’s body, holding it in her hand again. She looked around herself cautiously. The last ergate was lying in front of them, while two other young men who had sustained gunshot wounds were also lying on the ground. One of them was shot several times and hadn’t survived the fight. Rosalind was crouching beside another one, pressing hard on his wound. Emerald suddenly felt sad seeing that two young lives had been lost, although she knew there would be sacrifices to be made.Emerald looked downstairs, and almost everyone stood up, looking at her with respect and surprise. She felt the areas around her eyes sticky and got a handful of purple Zerg blood when she tried to wipe her face. She didn’t realize how scary and unpleasant she looked right now. She looked as if a barrel of Zerg blood was poured down from her head, and no one could see her facial features, except her ferocious cold and sharp eyes, which were the only thing visible underneath all that blood. “Miss, what should we do now?” Colman asked from behind her. “Keep one gun and watch the gate.” She knew the gunshot would trigger the other Zerg soldiers to come here. “Take the other weapons and let the people out of the cabins!” The fierce battle that ensued in the aircraft remained an unknown piece of history from the war against the Zerg because most of the people died on the Zerg territory. This kind of desperate struggle has been frequent like wildfire since the Zerg invasion of human planets. They can’t be extinguished in either the human or Zerg territory. As soon as they stepped out of the cabin, five Zerg soldiers came to see what had happened. Neither side spent much time talking but immediately went into position to shoot. Emerald shot two ergates, and Colman killed one by throwing his knife. The other two were shot by someone else. Three young volunteer fighters died during this round. The desire to fight spread like fire through dry grass! A group of people followed Emerald and Colman, ready to fight for life or death. They opened the passenger cabin with the keys recovered from a soldier’s body and started shooting the Zerg soldiers before they knew what was going on in the cabin next door! After they got the weapon, more people volunteered to fight, and they took over the last cabin and the cockpit. An hour later, the 22 Zerg officers and soldiers were all dead, and more than 30 humans had died under Emerald’s watch. No one felt sad except the ones who had lost their relatives and were now crying besides their dead bodies. Others couldn’t believe the sudden change of luck. They had become slaves of the Zerg overnight, and then the woman covered in blood with the handsome, cold, smiling man had saved them in only half a day! “Go home! Go home!” The people in the three cabins all cheered in unison. Emerald, Colman, Rosalind, and the two young men who had killed the most Zergs were sitting in the cockpit. All of them looked happy except Emerald and Colman. Emerald knew they had only won this battle because they were fast and brave, taking the Zerg by surprise. If they had hesitated for just a second, the Zerg would have gathered their soldiers from surrounding the aircraft, and it would be them lying dead in the back cabin right now. Rosalind wiped the blood from Emerald’s face and body with a towel. Emerald turned the plane and said to Colman. “I need a co-pilot, can you do it?” Colman shook his head, suspecting what she was thinking, and said. “Miss, I’m not invincible.” Emerald had to call another young man and quickly taught him some simple operations to cooperate with her, and then she looked solemnly at the passengers. “Guys, the reality is, our situation is worse now than it was before we took over the aircraft.” They looked at her in surprise, but Colman still smiled as if he didn’t care about anything. Emerald explained. “The fuel was almost used up during the flight from the Alliance to here. We can’t leap or fly back to the Alliance now.” “Then what should we do?” Rosalind asked in a hurry. “Maybe we can find the space station nearby.” She remembered that the Alliance and the mercenary had set up a space station near the Stone Belt, and the mercenary’s space station was well concealed. There was a possibility that the Zerg hadn’t found it yet. This was the reason why she had decided to hijack the aircraft, to begin with. The people were relieved, but Emerald added, “But what is more urgent than the fuel... “Beep beep beep..” The radar on the control panel suddenly sent a hasty alarm. Emerald looked down and saw three aircraft on the radar. Now everyone was looking at her in fear as Emerald stared at the stone belt in front of her quietly. Finally, she picked up the phone and announced through the loudspeaker. “Everyone, this is your captain. Sit still! The Zerg soldiers are coming after us!” Three red Zerg planes came flying towards them in front of the stone belt, which was as dark as a black wall in the sky. Emerald drove the Zerg aircraft and took first place. Then she suddenly turned to one side. She finally flew into the stone belt, which was full of gravel and dust!Like a bunch of black ants, twenty Cheetahs were staying silently close to a seam of the stone belt. Who didn’t look closely wouldn’t notice them. Foxy was glued to the pilot seat solemnly like a statue. She kept in this pose for about 10 minutes before moving her body and asking through the internal communication channel. “Robert, is there anything that you still want to do?”
