When the Galaxy Wept
“What do they want?” Yearwood’s chest was heavily rising and falling with his beating heart as if he was going to rush to them and block the bullets with his body. “They are attacking the military fortifications to reduce their chances of attack during landing,” Emerald answered. “Don’t worry, there won’t be many civilian casualties.” Yearwood ran as fast as if flying over the roof, mountain roads, and forest. He had crossed the distance in no time, and soon they were at the cave where the Cheetah was hidden. “I’ll wait for them to land,” Yearwood said coldly. Emerald understood how stubborn he was. He whistled a secret signal to call his subordinates. These Kung Fu experts were prepared to fight against these monsters until death, but Emerald knew that Patrick would not let them get near him. During direct attacks, he always used powerful weapons to kill from a distance. “You are hitting a rock with eggs,” Emerald spoke the painful truth. “I believe it won’t take more than an hour for them to land and take over the whole country.” Yearwood opened his mouth but didn’t know how to answer. His expressionless face put Emerald in the pilot seat and then suddenly bowed to her. “Miss Wilson.” His voice was forceful.” The princess is still in a coma. If she was awake now, she would regret what she did to you after seeing what just happened here. I hope you can forgive what we did to you because the destiny of our Tang Dynasty is in your hands.” She felt the weird feeling she had felt while flying around the planet again, but Emerald couldn’t tell the reason. The time was passing, and she had no time to think further about her feelings. She pulled Yearwood up softly by his hand and said. “I’ll try my best.” Emerald was right. Harrison was the front commander in this invasive operation that lasted exactly one hour, including when the Cheetahs bombed the military fortifications. Harrison and the other officers were standing in front of a huge radar panel in the command center, watching the attack process. Patrick was silent, standing beside Harrison Gates with his hands crossed behind his back. Harrison Gates had heard that Emerald had run away, and the Commander was tracking her down in all the warships. The news had surprised him, as he had arranged for Emerald to watch the Commander be with another woman on purpose, thinking that she was special to the Commander and that with her strong personality, she would make the Commander suffer a little if she was angry at him. He hadn’t expected her to run away to the ground. Harrison didn’t believe that the Commander would really fall in love with this woman, but he must still be interested in her. Harrison now regretted his actions, thinking that he had caused the trouble, so he pretended he knew nothing and never talked about the incident where he led Emerald to “watch” the Commander. The invasion of the ground was about to start. Many injuries and deaths were on the ground, but he was not worried about Emerald Wilson, knowing that she would never let herself get hurt. Maybe the Commander thought the same, and that was why he didn’t order to attack. Instead of looking worried, he smiled too profoundly to be understood. Since none of the resource planets they had colonized before had civilizations, Patrick’s attached great importance to this invasion, he ordered Harrison Gates to direct the attack while he came to watch it himself. Harrison Gates thought the invasion to be a piece of cake, never suspecting that a planet with an agricultural industry would threaten them. The technical officers turned around to report that nuclear weapons were found on the planet, to his astonishment. “Colonel, we have detected the signals of ten nuclear bombs located in different places of the planet, and the bombs... are freshly unlocked.” The technical officers pointed to the computer screen as he spoke. Patrick smiled, and Harrison Gates finally understood as he saw his reactions. He asked without panicking. “Tell me the location, distance, and energy level of the nuclear bombs.” The technical commander quickly reported a string of coordinates and numbers. Harrison suddenly frowned his brows as he looked at Patrick. “The bombs are all located in areas with mineral and water supply, so what should we do now?” Before Patrick answered, the communication officer stood up.” Commander, I just received a code of the mercenaries, asking for contact. The counterpart is on the confidential channel.” Patrick seemed to expect the call.Picking up the phone, he said straightly. “You are really bold.” That simple sentence was enough to make Emerald, who was on the other end of the line, scared. When she saw Yearwood looking at her with concern, she calmed herself down and answered in a relaxed tone. “Commander, this is my home.” “Do you really think ten nuclear bombs can stop me?” He asked with a smile. Emerald knew him so well that she could sense his angry smile, just like the day when he had taken her virginity with a casual smile on his face. “I don’t.” She answered. “But it’s enough to pollute this planet, which would take you at least a year and a half to rebuild the architectures to control the pollution, enough time for the Zerg and the Alliance to find this planet. Now that would be such a pity.” Patrick said lightly. “What do you want?” “The autonomy of the planet and the right to exploit the resources together.” Emerald was still nervous when she spoke out her requirements. What if he refused? But he wouldn’t because he was colonizing the planet for resources, not to take over its governance. He was silent. Emerald could hear someone asking him whether to issue the order of landing on the ground. It had only been a few minutes, but it seemed like a year for Emerald. The sound of the gunfire from the town was as far away as a dream. She could only hear her heavy breath resounding in her mind. “Are you afraid, kitten?” Patrick suddenly lowered his voice as if whispering into her ear.
