When the Galaxy Wept
Despite their loss, they had won this battle. Around 500 people were staring at her with expectation and hoped that this female soldier would take them to the sky and back to the Alliance. Unfortunately, Emerald had to disappoint them when she said, “We can only wait for the rescue of the Alliance.” She sent people to search the whole camp to find the armory, and then she ordered several young men who followed her to take charge of the group and guard the field against all different directions. “Madam, are you going to leave us? Where are you going?” Someone asked in a scared voice. Everyone was looking at her. “I’m going to find my comrades who the Zerg captured,” she answered. “Although most of the guards have left, you still have many weapons. Therefore, you can hold on for several more days unless a large Zerg troop comes here, and by then, the war will be over.”“What if the Alliance loses the war?” Someone asked, “Then our struggle will be meaningless.” “They won’t lose.” She answered without hesitation as if she was completely confident. “They will win.” He must win. **** She couldn’t find the two Cheetahs and the pilots where people had told her in the whole camp. A middle-aged man who had been in the field yesterday informed her that the Cheetahs had been dragged away by a truck. “They were sent to the Empire City,” he said. “I don’t know why.” “Are you sure it’s the Empire City?” Emerald asked. “Yes. Although I don’t know the Zerg language, every human knows the empire flag of the Zerg.”He was right. No one would forget that blue empire flag with black compound eyes after they saw it once. Those eyes were longer and prettier than normal Zerg eyes but also colder than any other Zerg eye. That was the Queen’s eye empire flag. But according to the map she had seen while flying, the Empire City was far away from here, and there was no way that they would use cars for transportation. Suppose they hadn’t gone to the Empire City. Then where were they going? After thinking it through, Emerald walked to Colman. Despite Rosalind’s effort in trying to save him, Colman was almost dying and said in a low voice. “How did you violate the Zerg body?” Colman’s face was covered with his messy hair, but he still forced a smile. “Haven’t you seen it first hand? I felt bored while being trapped in the stone circle and found some entertainment.” Emerald thought of the bones and flesh the ergate had thrown angrily in front of him and suddenly understood. Wait a minute, Colman Henry... Henry? No way. Emerald felt sick to her stomach thinking about the rumors about him. Who else would have mastered the skills of using a knife to dissect the Zerg in such a dangerous situation if not President Henry? But she couldn’t hate this man now. In fact, meeting him had made her escape so much easier. She patted his shoulder and corrected herself. “President Henry, if any Zerg come here to attack, please cut them up. Besides, these 500 people are mine, and you can’t hurt any of them.” Colman, or President Henry, was not surprised at all that she figured out his identity and said with indifference. “I don’t have enough strength now. What do you want me to do?” Was this handsome, independent man indeed the monster who tortured women and cut them up alive for entertainment? Emerald reminded herself to be careful with him, and she needed to warn Rosalind and tell her to be careful too. But now, she thought that the Zergs feared him the most. She pointed to the five ergates who were kneeling on the ground and said. “Take your knife and pretend that you want to cut someone. They are afraid of you. I have to make them tell me where my comrades and the Cheetahs were sent to.” President Henry grunted, holding a silver knife in one of his hands, and said. “Take them here.” Emerald was still thinking about how to make them speak with gestures since they spoke different languages, but when they were thrown in front of President Henry, he stabbed one of them several times, which made it scream hysterically. After that, he took a deep breath and then smiled and started to talk to them in their language, using a squeaky voice. Emerald started to look at Colman with entirely different eyes. This man was a doctor, an arms dealer, and knew the Zerg language. It was such a pity that he was a pervert too. Several minutes later, President Henry was becoming weaker, and he turned his pale face to Emerald. “Come here, I’ll tell you what they say.” Emerald wasn’t afraid of him at this moment and moved closer to him and lowered her head. But President Henry, who seemed to be dying, suddenly seemed to be lively and full of energy, grabbing her by the collar and started to kiss her face wildly with his bloody mouth. Emerald immediately pushed him away with full force. Rosalind and the others around them were all surprised, but Henry just chuckled and said. “I just want to have a taste of Patrick Lewis’s woman. I know he cherished you so much.” Emerald glared at him and wiped her face forcibly. He pretended that nothing had happened and said, “Ten kilometers away in the north, there is a valley where somebody important lives. Your comrades and the fighters were sent there.” After driving for half an hour, Emerald was on her way, never knowing that there was such a beautiful place near the labor camp. The mountain here was still green, maybe because of the geothermal temperature, as if it was spring here. A quiet stream was flowing under the valley, some beautiful fish swimming in the water. Compared to the fierce battle in space and the chaos on the ground, it was like paradise here. They saw many Zerg tanks passing by along the way, meaning that the war in space was still going on.
