Interstellar Businesswoman Tycoon
Tyron leaped to the left and snatched the green thing heading straight for Ian. “Hiss.” The ferocious snake-like beast opened its mouth wide, revealing the two sharp fangs inside. Before it could bite down on the hand holding its neck, its head was instantly decapitated from its neck. Tyron threw the lifeless body in his hand away. “Be careful. There are beasts hiding among the vines.” He cautioned and then raised his head to Ian, who was above. Seeing that he wasn't frightened or something, he spoke out. “Don't move far away from me, your highness. What would I tell His Majesty if you were hurt under my watch?” Ian's brow furrowed when he heard Tyron's words. “I can take care of such situations myself. You don't have to jump out and help me like I'm some disabled person.” “If you wish to protect yourself, then do so once we get back to the city. But this time, you are under my watch until we get out of the wild.” Tyron didn't care about Ian's feelings as to what he said and began to move forward. After several minutes of hopping from one vine to another, Atlas soon sighted the clear land in the distance. “I can see the end of the area over there.” He pointed out. Seeing the clear land in the distance, they all sped up their movements. There were tall bushes across the clear land, but it was better than being in the midst of corrosive vines. Once they touched the floor, their contract beast was summoned out to continue on the journey. “Help! Anyone there. I'm hurting so much. Can someone please help me?”The sudden cry for help took the whole team by surprise. “Shh.” Tyron raised his hand, signaling for the members to stop their movements. At this time, the female's cry for help came to their ears once again. “Ahhh. I regret it so much. I shouldn't have come out here to the wilds. What am I going to do with my sick mother at home? She's going to break down, knowing that her daughter met her demise in this heart-wrenching place. Ohh. My whole body is in pain.” “It sounds like the person is in distress. Should we go help her out, boss?” Kai turned his head to Tyron. As the president, if Tyron didn't give them an order, they wouldn't dare to head forward. “Save.” Tyron pointed in the direction of the call. He wasn't that heartless to ignore the cry for someone's help. Hence, the group shifted their route and headed in the direction the voice had stemmed from. [Host, I sense a danger in the front.] Susu's warning came to Sylvia’s ears. 'Is it a life-threatening danger?' Sylvia asked. [If you run, it wouldn't be.] The system responded. 'Oh. Then let's leave it at that.' Sylvia didn't say anything about the danger to Tyron and the others. What the team was good at was running. So it wouldn't be a problem to escape once they sense that something was off. “Help. Anyone around. Please save me.” The cry continued. “Hello! Can you hear me?” Walker shouted out. “Pinpoint your location so that we can come to save you.”But instead of getting the reply that he was expecting, the voice continues to cry out in pain. “Could it be that she's trapped in an illusion and can't hear us?” Milo posed forward. “Let's just go and take a look to see what's happening,” Tyron responded. As they walked down the pathway, the tall weeds around them became denser. Yet, they didn't seem to be arriving at their destination like they thought. “Could it be that her voice was blown forward by the wind?” Jose couldn't help but ask. “Seems likely.” Walker nodded in answer. “Then, should we still go over and save her. The surrounding grass is becoming denser. Who knows if any beasts are hiding among them?” “Let's--” Before Tyron could continue his words, Jose's alarmed voice rang into everyone's ears. “Look at the ground! There are bones everywhere.” Jose's eyes were widened in shock. Since everyone was on their mounts, none of them noticed the situation happening on the ground. Now, at Jose's call, they all brought their gaze to the ground. “This… These are human bones.” Walker felt a chill down his neck when he saw this. It wasn't unusual to come upon human remains in the wilds. But this… this is just too much. Some of the bones still have fabric covering them. Around them were tall, lush weeds, almost looking as if they'd been injected with some stimulant. “F*ck. What the hell took place here?” Kai was also shocked.Milo climbed off his mount and went to inspect the bones on the ground. “These are indeed human bones.” His expression fell when he confirmed this. “Did a massacre take place here? The hall would have listed this area as a danger zone if that was what happened.” Miley raises this. “From the look of it, it seems like these people have been dead here for a long time.” Milo pulled out a skull lodge in the soil and analyzed its age. “So, should we still continue going forward?” Ryker was the one who put out this question. To save or not to save. “We are saving her.” Tyron urged the mount below him and rushed forward. “Aren't you afraid of putting the lives of your team members in danger?” Ian felt that Tyron was committing a suicide mission by rushing forward. “I'm not putting their lives in danger. Just as it is the job of a king to look over his people, it's our job as mercenaries to watch out for each other in this place.” “I don't have a good feel about what is in the front. Huji told me he sensed a great danger there. So if you continue with your selfless act, you are going to put everyone's lives in danger.” Tyron's brow squeezed together when he heard Ian's words, but something told him that he needed to go forward and save the person in front. [Host, Tyron seems to have been affected by a bewitching spell.] “Tyron!” Miley, who quickly noticed the latter's strange behavior, called out. “Ah.” Tyron snapped back to reality. When he realized what had just happened to him, he suddenly felt a deep sense of fear in his heart. “Retreat, everyone!”And then, the team realized something. Their mounts have also been affected by the bewitching spell. As if ignited by something, the mounts sprinted forward at a fast speed. Sylvia hurriedly jumped up from Sky’s back and withdrew the Wolf into the contract space. Just when her feet were about to land on the ground, several tiny roots shot up from the soil and headed straight at her. With quick reaction, she instantly summoned three wind blades and cut the tiny roots in front of her. “Ahh, it hurt. It hurt so much.” The crying voice became shrill. As Sylvia landed, she felt a big disturbance below her foot, and soon, countless tiny roots shot out from the whole area. Sylvia guessed that the owner of this root might be the danger Susu was talking about, and didn't dare to linger on the spot. She sprinted away as fast as she could. The cry of pain from that person became louder and louder. Suddenly, everyone detected that the area around them had become darker. No, it wasn't that it turned darker from the day, but instead, it was from the black shadow of the monster looming over them. Sylvia looked behind her shoulder and saw that following them was a giant red flower that spanned over a thousand feet in height. The most shocking scene was the dried human corpses that were hanging on its leaves like some sort of decoration. At the center of the flower was a little opening that kept expanding and contracting. Sylvia noticed that whenever the feminine voice sounded, the tiny gap in the center of the flower would open and then close again. Meaning that the cry for help that they had heard earlier had all come from this flower plant. “Help me. It hurts so much.” The massive root of the flower plant was raised upward and then smashed against the ground in a loud bang. “What the hell is such a monster?”
