The attack power of the plant monster was extremely high; as a result, the percentage of the group fleeing away from it was quite low. Susu feared that he might have to use his ability once again, which might expose his true identity in front of everyone. Sylvia had no idea about a certain system thought and was still running for her dear life. Suddenly, a huge sense of danger came behind her. She swiftly pushed her body to the side to escape the attack. Yet still, she couldn't escape the fate that was about to come. ‘Bang!' The surrounding earth concave in under the force, and she found herself falling into a deep crack. Just as she was about to use her wind ability to propel herself upward, a strong gravitational pull suddenly came out of nowhere and pulled her downward. No matter how hard she struggled, she couldn't free herself from its control. Damn it. Sylvia cursed inwardly. “Sylvia!” Ian, who had been keeping an eye on her, witnessed this scenario and instantly sprinted towards the large hole. Luckily, the Bloody Mimic plant had already shifted its focus of attack towards Milo, so it didn't notice Ian's movement. However, Tyron saw the young boy's action and immediately roared out in panic. “What the hell are you doing? Are you crazy? Get back here now!” He had also seen what happened to Sylvia. But first, they need to find a way to escape the disaster chasing behind them before they can think of saving anyone else. Ian ignored the roar behind him and jumped into the black hole. Almost instantly, he was also attacked by the strong gravitational pull and soon found himself falling downward. “Damn it.” Tyron cursed Ian in his heart several times. “You guys continue going forward. I'm going to save Sylvia and that brat.” He swiftly changed his direction and jumped into the hole after Ian. … Sylvia continued to be pulled by the gravitational force. She didn't know how deep the hole was, but she could tell that this wasn't something that was caused by the attack of the Bloody Mimic Plant. It seems to have been naturally formed. Perhaps it is a sinkhole or an underground cave. As she went downward, Sylvia began to notice that the oxygen around her was becoming thin. If she continues going downward like this, she will die in no time. The space around her was starting to feel hot. 'Susu, do you have any solution at hand?' [No.] Susu replied. [But don't panic, host. From my calculation, you will soon arrive at the ground floor within five minutes. So brave yourself up for the landing.] ‘Okay.’ Sylvia felt at ease when she heard this and began to count the seconds in her heart. As she got closer to her arrival, her breathing became hurried due to how hot the temperature around her was. Her face was dripping with sweat, looking as if she had just gotten out of a shower. Through her eyes, Sylvia saw several shiny particles inlaid in the cave wall. Before she could make out what they were, she soon arrived at her destination. “Thud!” Her legs trembled as she met the ground. And almost immediately, the gravitational force around her body vanished, as if it weren't there. Having regained control of her body, Sylvia felt at ease. The feeling of being out of control wasn't great at all. But first, she needs to find a way to get out of here. The heat in this place was too harsh for her to bear. Within seconds, her throat was already dry and sore. However, instead of taking out a bottle of water to drink, Sylvia turned her attention to the situation around her. Surprisingly, the area around her was very bright, without a need for her to bring out a flashlight.Inlaid in the wall were thousands of shiny crystals, which were giving out an orange hue. Their light shines across the cave, serving as a light source in the dark area. [Host, these are fire crystals.] Susu's excited voice rang out. [Who would have thought that there is a fire crystal mine in this place?] When she heard this, Sylvia finally realized why the whole cave was very hot. With thousands of fire crystals gathered in one area, it's no wonder that the temperature in this place was very high. Sylvia turned around and saw four pathways that seemed to lead to somewhere else. Around it, she noticed some traces of activities which seemed to have been made by either a beast or humans. But before she could move further to inspect the area, a loud cry suddenly came above her head. 'Bang!' “Aww.” Ian cried out painfully as he crashed on his back. Fortunately, his body was quite strong. So, he didn't sustain any major injury. Nonetheless, his body was still in so much pain. Coupled with the high temperature around him, Ian felt that he might die of dehydration within seconds. “Are you alright?” Sylvia looked over at the figure on the ground and asked worriedly. “I'm fine.” Ian managed to sit himself upright with difficulty and turned his gaze to Sylvia. “Are you good? You aren't injured anywhere, are you?” “No.” Sylvia shook her head as she replied. “That's a relief.” Ian let out a sigh, feeling the worry in his heart fading away. “What's this place?” His attention was soon diverted by the red crystal on the wall, and he forced himself to his feet.“A fire crystal mine,” Sylvia responded as she took out a dagger from her ring and headed towards the wall, before prying out a fire crystal from the hard soil. The orange colored crystal began to heat up in her palm due to the burning flame energy that it contains. Sylvia was about to give it to Susu to absorb when she suddenly recalled that there was another eye in the cave. Hence, she could only put it inside her storage ring and wait to give it to him once they got back home. Suddenly, a loud thud sounded behind her. This time, it was Tyron who appeared. Since he was more experienced than Ian, Tyron didn't fall on his back like Ian had done. “Are you two okay?” Tyron questioned the moment he saw the two. “We are fine,” Sylvia replied and stopped what she was doing. “Are the others also coming in?” She asked. “No. I told them to escape while I go save you and Ian. Gosh, why is it so hot here?” Tyron glanced at his surroundings and then noticed the orange crystal embedded inside the wall. “A fire crystal mine!” The reaction in his eyes was unbelievable. “Yeah. There are four other pathways, too. But I haven't gone to check them out yet. I'm not sure if there are some beasts residing in them.” Although he was quite shocked by the unexpected surprise in front of him, Tyron was rational enough to know what was more important. “Let's go check out the pathways first. Sylvia, you-” He didn't get to finish his sentence when several loud thuds continuously sounded in the cave, one after the other.
