Interstellar Businesswoman Tycoon
The group sprinted away as far as possible. As for taking their previous route, that wasn't an option at all. Who knows if there were still some plowworms hiding under the ground? “Shit. Who would have thought that there was a colony of S-rank spiders occupying the road in front. Thankfully, we shifted our route, or else we would have been the ones eaten by the monsters instead of the worms.” Gael was relieved to have escaped such an unfortunate disaster. “Yeah.” Kai inputs. “From the look of it, it seems like they were preparing for the mating season. I hope we won't encounter some bunch of horny beasts on the road.” Atlas also joined in, saying with worry, “This time, we need to pay attention to what is happening underground. Who knows when a beast might just pop out from below?” “Okay.” Tyron nodded in response and then ordered. “Make sure to pay close attention to your foot. If you detect anything unusual, report it to me right away.” “Yes.” [Host, do you want me to scan the surroundings for any potential threat?] Susu's voice sounded inside Sylvia's head. 'No.' Sylvia refused directly. 'Don't you think it would be weird if I keep pointing out the hidden danger nearby?' The first time, they might not suspect her. But if it keeps occurring every time, no one was a fool among them to not detect that something was wrong. [Okay, host.] Susu became silent after that. But when he saw that the Golden Honey Queen Bee was starting to act up again, he immediately went back and began to educate the latter. … Their journey this time was smooth, since almost everyone was on guard against any hidden danger nearby. The beasts who had dared to sneak an attack on them were instantly killed. Soon, the team arrived in front of an area filled with dense green vines. The humidity in the area was somewhat high, bringing in the smell of decaying leaves up their nostrils. Sky took some steps forward, and instantly, half of his legs sank into the muddy ground. Just as he was about to continue his movement, Sylvia hurriedly stopped him. “Stop. I don't think we can continue going forward.” The last sentence was said to the rest. They didn't know how deep this ravine is? Besides that, they still need to watch over for any hidden danger from beasts in the surrounding area. If they were to be attacked, their reaction would be quite slow as compared to not being stuck in the mud. “I also think we should stop.” Miley supported Sylvia's words. “Our eyes can't see through what's under the mud, so it's better to play it safe.” Tyron had also thought about this problem, but with the dense vines blocking their path, their only option was to burn them down. “Okay, Gael. Use your flame ability to form a path through the vines, and we fly through it.” “Roger that.” A huge ball of flame appeared in Gael's palm, and he threw it towards the thick forest. The previously dark swamp was instantly brightened. Out of the corner of her eyes, Sylvia caught sight of a crocodile beast hiding in the mud and immediately finished it with one swoop. Gael continued to throw several balls of flame at the vines, and the fire in the swamp became larger, which reduced a bit of the moisture in the air. But what was surprising was that only a few of the vines were burned down, and the rest remained unharmed. When they look closely, they discover that the unharmed vines were shiny, looking as if they were coated in a slimy substance. Wherever this slimy substance was, the flame was unable to touch it. As the flames grew, more juice began to seep out of the vines. Sylvia saw a scene where the secreted juice fell on the muddy ground, and instantly the ground began to sizzle, looking as if it were being corroded by something. “Stop.” Tyron also witnessed this scene. He already knew that plants in the wild weren't easy to deal with. So they need to stop their actions before the corrosive juice gets bigger. “These vines are hard nuts to crack. Should we find another route?” Gael looked back at Tyron in question. “No.” Tyron shook his head. “It seems like these vines only secrete corrosive juice whenever they sense danger. Let's go through the place that hasn't been touched by the flames. We will be climbing the vines, so make sure to put on protective gloves.” Sylvia ordered Sky to move towards an untouched area and began to put on her protective gloves. When she held on to a vine, she noticed that it was very sturdy and didn't give in under her weight. After climbing to a certain height, she put Sky into the contract space and began to move upward. Seeing everyone already making their move, Tyron turned to Ian behind him and said. “You will go up with me, your highness.” Ian wanted to refuse him, but the cold look in Tyron's eyes instantly shut up whatever he wanted to say. He obediently puts on his protective gloves and reaches for the vine next to him before climbing up. Tyron also reached for the vine and followed closely behind him. The drooping vines had all come from a huge tree. Sylvia didn't know how tall the mother tree was, but she could see that some surrounding vines were starting to form independently on their own. She reached for the next vine in front of her and continuously performed the same task as she swung among the dense vines like a monkey. Well, she wasn't the only one swinging through. Behind her were Miley and the others, who were also performing the same task as her. As she swung to the next vine, Sylvia suddenly heard a snapping sound, and then her whole body began to fall downward. “Damn.” Sylvia cursed out, quickly reacting by using her wind ability to propel herself towards a nearby vine and hold on to it. “Sylvia!” The situation was so sudden that it didn't give anyone the time to react. Thankfully, Sylvia's reaction was very swift. “Are you okay?” Miley's voice of concern rang out. Only God knows how scared she was when she saw Sylvia falling downward. “I'm fine,” Sylvia responded from below. “I think you guys should watch out for some dead ones amidst the vines.” Both the dead and healthy vines bore the same appearance. If it weren't for such a situation, she wouldn't have fallen into such a trap. Now that she mentions it, everyone will be careful and check the sturdiness of the vines before jumping over to them.“Okay. Everyone, take precautions about that.” Tyron gave an order. Seeing that Sylvia was okay, Ian's heart, which was beating like a drum, began to settle down. 'It's great that she's fine.' Just as he was about to turn his head away and climb up, a green figure suddenly flashed in the corner of his eyes and rushed straight at him. Ian put his hand forward, ready to protect himself. However, there was someone who was much faster than him.
