Interstellar Businesswoman Tycoon
Sylvia felt her entire body ached badly as she regains consciousness. Opening her eyes, what first greeted her was the brown color of the tent coverage above her. Followed by it were the subtle whispers of people discussions that flows into her ears. [Host, you're awake.] 'Hmm.' Sylvia groaned uncomfortably as she answered. 'Where am I?' She could only remember passing out under a huge fire attack. Anything after that was a total blankness to her. [You're still in the wilds. Miley and the others found you after you were brought out by Huji.] 'Then... What about the red core? Is it still lurking around.' She couldn’t help but ask knowing how dangerous that thing is. [Don't worry host. I've already taken care of it.] Susu answered confidently. ‘That’s a relief. Thanks so much, Susu.’ She knew that the one who must have taken care of that thing must have been Susu himself. Hence, she was grateful for the other party help. [It’s nothing much.] Susu hearing himself being praised beam so much with happiness. Just as she was about to seat upright, Sylvia let out a painful groan. “Ugh.” Her entire body ached so much. It was as if she had just gone through thousands of years of hard labor. Beads of sweat instantly filled her entire forehead. Her body situation was unknown to her. However, Sylvia knew that under that terrifying attack, there was no way she would have come out unscathed. With how intense the pain is, she must have suffered from a high-degree burn. Even with that, Sylvia was still grateful to be alive. Just as she was about to close her eyes and take a rest, the flap door of the tent was lifted up and Miley figure rushed in. Having been paying a close attention to the situation inside the tent, Miley had fortunately heard Sylvia painful groan and knew that she must have regain consciousness.“You're up.” Miley knelt beside the mattress Sylvia was lying on. “That's great. You don't know how worried I was when I saw your unconscious state.” Miley face wore a worried expression as she stared down at Sylvia. Feeling this heartfelt care, Sylvia stretched her thin lips into a smile. “Thank you.” Since she didn't have the strength to use her vocal cord, she could only move her mouth. “Although, I don't know what you two might have faced inside that place; Ian wouldn't say anything ever since you came out. He kept blaming himself for hurting you.” Miley sigh. “It great to see that you two are alive.” She patted Sylvia on the head. While enjoying this moment, the flap door was raised up again and Atlas figure walked in. “She's awake.” His eyes scanned over Sylvia figure who was lying on the mattress and walked over. “Yes.” Miley replied. “Come and see if there's any hidden injury on her body that needs healing.” “Sure.” Atlas knelt beside Miley and placed his palm an inch above Sylvia body. White light envelope his hand before wrapping around Sylvia’s body. The aching pain that had been coursing through her body suddenly vanish like a wind. Sylvia felt relief and rejuvenated. This time, she had no issue using her vocal cord and said to Atlas, “Thank you.” “It's no problem.” “You must be very hungry, aren't you? Meal is being prepared outside. Why don't you come and eat with us?” Miley asked her. “Okay.” Sylvia got up from the bed and head out with the two. Outside, twelve tents were set up next to each other. Not far from it, a small bonfire was made, brightening up the whole area. A beast meat could be seen being roasted on the top of the bonfire. As the fire graze over it, the meat let out a sizzling sound while emitting a delicious aroma that sparks hunger into everyone’s empty stomach. Jose was at the side, making sure the meat doesn't get burn, while the others sat around the bonfire discussing among themselves. Soon, they all saw the trio stepping out of the tent. “You're already up.” Walker looked up at Sylvia. “You almost scared me to death when you fainted earlier.” “I'm so sorry for getting you all worried.” Sylvia thought Walker was talking about when Huji brought her unconscious self out and bowed in apology. “Ah...” Seeing her bowing to him, Walker became flustered. “I wasn't telling you to apologize. I was only telling you how worried I was.” “I know.” Sylvia answered. “It's good to see you sound and safe.” Tyron joined in. He had woken up earlier than Sylvia. All of the wound on his body had been healed, boasting how powerful the healing ability of the flower of life is. “Yes.” The others also asked her questions one after the other, except for Ian who sat beside Amos in a silent state. The expression on his face was unreadable. Seeing Sylvia usual cold appearance, Ian couldn't help but recall the icy appearance she had when she was brought out by Huji. In those eyes, he saw a big disdain and hatred for him. Ian was worried that Sylvia must have hated him due to what happened in the research center. Sylvia also noticed Ian strange quietness. She thought he had become traumatic due to what happened in the research center and left him all to himself. She then sat on the vacant spot and listened to the ongoing conversation. “What do you think those things are?” Kai questioned, referring to the humanoid robot. “I'm not sure either.” Ryker answered. “I tried to see if I could fish them out of the fallen rocks but they seem to have been buried deeply under the dirt.” “Oh, I wonder what sort of place that thing came from. Boss, did you notice anything when you entered the place?” Milo raised his head in Tyron direction as he asked. “None.” Tyron shook his head. “We were about to climb up the stairs when the whole building suddenly began to tremble. Realizing that the place was going to crash, I immediately brought Miley out with me to escape. So, I don't know what's in there either.” “I suspect that there might be some sort of occult experiments going on in that place. Didn’t you see the attack power of those things? They are crazy. If it wasn’t that I witness it by myself, I wouldn’t believe it if anyone told me that.” Walker said. “No, it’s not so.” Eleven heads all turned simultaneously, looking directly at the speaker of the voice. “Do you know something about the place?” Miley asked as she stared at Sylvia. Sylvia nodded and began to fill them about what Yatran had told Ian and her about the research center. “Wow. All the way before the emergence of fierce beasts. This is crazy!” Walker mouth was agape as he took in this newly found discovery. Not only him, even the other members were shocked themselves. What does this mean? They had just chance upon a precious historical knowledge. Who knows what kind of uproar it would cause to the outside world once this info is leaked. Who could have thought that a place like this would be hidden deeply inside the Arcane bird’s breeding lair. “Ian and I managed to bring out some of the rare materials stored in the research center warehouse before the building collapse.” Sylvia added. “Wow, how smart you are.” Walker praised Sylvia in admiring. “However, it’s unfortunate that we weren't able to witness the view of this precious historical site.” Walker felt dejected at the end. The others could also relate with him. “That fellow named Yatran. Where's he now?” Tyron asked. When speaking earlier, Sylvia had jumped on the info about the red core. She was worried that the others would notice something unusual about her explanation, which may indirectly exposed Susu existence. “He expends his soul energy after telling us that and dispersed into the air.” She answered. Although she was worried that Ian might expose her lies, but seeing that he didn’t say anything, Sylvia mind was put at ease. Tyron didn’t notice anything odd about Sylvia words and nodded. “For him to have kept part of his soul to this day, he must have paid a big sacrifice for it.” “It would have been great if I had met such a historical figure. What a shame.” Walker felt even more dejected “It's great that he doesn't get to meet you. At least, his last memory wouldn’t be of him meeting a dumb person like you.” Milo added. “You.” Walker glared at him. “What? Isn’t it true that you're the only dumb person among this group? Everyone can testify to it.” “I'm not dumb. For all I know, I'm the smartest guy in this group.” Walker humped as he responded to Milo taunts. “Keep on lying to yourself.” “You!” While Walker and Milo were bickering among themselves, Atlas turned his attention to Tyron and asked. “Since we found this historical site, should we have informed the authority about its appearance?” Hearing this question, Walker and Milo stopped their squabbling and turned their head towards Tyron to hear his opinion. Tyron paused for a moment before answering. “No.” His expression looked determined as he added, “We should keep it as a secret.” “I also thought so too." Miley nodded, agreeing with Tyron opinion. Although the fact that they were the one to discover this place could bring them huge honor and wealth. They also knew that the disadvantage in it outweighs the gain. You tell me, a place that has existed before the emergence of fierce beast. Such a mind-blowing discovery will definitely cause a bloodbath across the universe. And being the one who had discovered this place, their lives would definitely be on the line. “So, can you please not tell the emperor about this place, Mr. Amos.” Tyron looked up at Amos. “Sure.” Amos slapped his chest as he assured him. “You can trust me, Mr. Tyron. I’m very clear on what implications this discovery would bring once it's spread to the outside world. So, rest assure that the crown prince and I will never say a word about this to the emperor.” Hearing the other party assurance, Tyron’s mind was put at ease. “The meat is done.” Jose announced. Soon afterward, everyone received their share of meat and began to eat.
