Stronger Every Time I Die

Chapter 631 Guns at the Gate

Arthur stood as steady as a mountain. Without hesitation, he reached out and yanked Taylor back just as the latter tried to shield him from the incoming blade. “Taylor, this time... I don’t need you to take the hit for me!” Even as he spoke, a figure shot in from the side—one brutal kick landed squarely on Henry’s head! With a dull grunt, Henry was sent flying through the air! The knife slipped from his grasp and clattered to the ground. Bang! Henry’s body slammed into a nearby wall and crashed to the floor. Just like Finley moments ago. As he hit the ground, a sickening taste rose in Henry’s throat. He spewed out a mouthful of blood, flecked with several teeth. Even more than Finley had lost. Arthur’s lips curled into a smile. He’d noticed Wind move the moment Henry raised his blade. With Wind’s skills, all Arthur had to do was stand still. As expected, Wind didn’t disappoint. Taylor stared in shock at Wind, who had landed perfectly on his feet. That baby-faced guy had the most determined eyes he’d ever seen. Aside from Arthur, this was the second most badass man he’d laid eyes on! The clean, fluid movement… the flawless landing… everything about him screamed power and style! If the timing weren’t so inappropriate, Taylor would've thrown himself at Wind just to worship him properly! Taylor was on the leaner side, and this kind of raw strength was exactly what he admired most. It had all happened so fast. With Wind’s sudden entrance, everyone who had been rushing Arthur froze in place. Finley snapped out of his shock—and only grew more furious. But before he could say a word, a new group of people came flooding in. At the front was none other than Ashley, followed by Arthur’s three other bodyguards! When Arthur saw Taylor surrounded, he had immediately ordered Wind to contact the rest of the team and bring reinforcements. After stalling for just long enough, they had finally arrived. And they didn’t come alone—they brought backup. The moment they appeared, they closed in fast, forming a protective barrier around Arthur and Taylor. In their hands? Guns. Real ones. As the weapons appeared, panic exploded. Screams rang out from every direction. Guns! In the middle of Lioran—so many armed people, out in the open! Finley froze when he saw them pull out firearms. Oh my god. He’d thought it was impressive that his dad could get his hands on a gun and clean up the mess afterward. But this? This was an entire team. And they were standing right at the main gate of Governance University. There were still tons of bystanders nearby! Who were these people? Were they insane?Even Solivair only dared to carry his weapon in secret, using it quietly and disposing of any witnesses. Arthur… Arthur had been the only exception. And that’s exactly why Finley had been so worried about him. Finley had seen real guns before. He could tell at a glance—these weren’t toys. These were real, loaded firearms. Oh god. He was so scared, he couldn’t even move. Right then, he regretted taking away his classmates’ phones. If they still had them, people outside might have been able to call the cops by now! Openly carrying guns in Lioran? That was a serious crime. They could all go to prison for this! But at this point, surviving came first. Finley and Zac backed down immediately. Zac hadn’t expected Arthur to have a crew like this—armed to the teeth! He couldn’t tell if the guns were real, but he wasn’t willing to bet his life on it. Both of them quietly raised their hands. Finley was shaking so hard, he nearly dropped to his knees. In a trembling voice, he stammered at Wind, “S-Sir, we—we don’t have any beef with you! I didn’t mean any offense! If I did anything wrong, please forgive me!” He bowed deeply, trying to show as much sincerity as possible. He refused to believe that Wind had shown up with this firepower just for Arthur. There was no way Arthur had that kind of power. Even his dad couldn’t arm every single bodyguard with a gun. Wind stared coldly at Finley, who was still begging for mercy. With a sharp snort, he said, “You try to hurt my young master, and you want me to let you off? Keep dreaming.” Wind’s words shattered the last shred of hope Finley and Zac had. No way. No way in hell. Arthur—how could Arthur possibly have this kind of power behind him?
