Stronger Every Time I Die
With his own grandfather, there was no need to be overly polite. In fact, being too courteous would only make things feel distant. Even when Benjamin said he planned to pass down Heaven’s Cult to Arthur, Arthur didn’t refuse. He simply focused on doing his best—growing, improving, and becoming stronger—so he wouldn’t let his grandfather down. Ashley gently took Arthur’s arm. “Arthur, come on. Let’s go rest in the cabin.” She understood how reluctant he was to leave his grandfather. Once they finished their business outside, they’d return to see Benjamin and Nina as soon as possible. The cruise ship’s facilities were fully equipped. The moment Arthur and Ashley stepped inside, the butler came forward to greet them. Behind him stood a team of professional housekeepers. They all gave Arthur and Ashley a deep bow. The butler was the first to speak. “Welcome, Mr. Arthur and Miss Ashley, to Cabin One. I’m your butler, Fudson.” He then gestured toward the staff behind him. “These are your housekeepers. If you need anything at all, just call on me.” Arthur nodded. “Thank you. I appreciate it.” Fudson and the housekeepers were caught off guard by Arthur’s kindness and humility, clearly surprised and a bit flattered. A genuine smile appeared on Fudson’s face. “Sir, Miss Ashley, would you like to rest in your room first, or shall I give you a tour of the ship?” “Let’s take a tour first,” Arthur said. After all, they would be living here for a month—it was good to get familiar with the place. They had just boarded and weren’t tired yet. Fudson immediately responded, “Please, follow me.” Fudson had been professionally trained and was thoroughly polished in his role. He led the two through a full tour of the yacht and its amenities. The more Arthur saw, the more impressed he became. Grandpa really was wealthy. So many of the features and details were so luxurious that Arthur felt he could easily live here long-term. This ship was nothing like the one he’d taken before—it wasn’t even in the same league. In his past life, Arthur had never set foot on a cruise ship. In fact, he’d barely been on a boat at all. This was only the second cruise of his life. A yacht like this was practically made for family vacations or honeymoons. Spending a month here wouldn’t feel tiring in the slightest. Even the bedrooms had specialized stabilizers installed—so if they wanted a night’s sleep that felt like solid land, they could have just that. When they were done walking around, the head chef prepared them some refreshments and tea. Arthur and Ashley sat and sipped as they watched the endless sea roll by. It was a calm, peaceful scene. The sadness of their departure faded a little. A month later— The yacht docked successfully. Because it was a specially outfitted vessel, it actually arrived a few days earlier than expected. From the outside, the ship looked simple and ordinary—just a typical cruise ship. Arthur and Ashley dressed modestly, and Wind and the other guards had swapped their suits for casual clothes. The entire group looked like regular tourists. They disembarked one by one without drawing any attention. After clearing customs, Fudson led them to a luxury car that had been waiting for them outside. But Arthur didn’t go straight to the villa—he headed for the university instead. As they neared Governance University, he asked the driver to stop. He didn’t want to cause a scene. Though everyone knew he was the chairman of Cloudia Corporation, the car he was in now was a world-class, limited-edition luxury model. Most people wouldn’t even get to see one of these, let alone ride in it.The exterior was understated, but the interior was exceptionally lavish and comfortable. Even after a full day on the road, it wouldn’t leave you feeling tired. Wind, who looked only a little older than Arthur and had a youthful face, insisted on staying by Arthur’s side—and Arthur didn’t object. The rest of the guards went with Fudson back to the villa, ready to assist whenever needed. Arthur glanced at Wind curiously. “You’re not a student at Governance University. How are you going to follow me in there?” Sure, he could bring him in temporarily, but Arthur would be staying at the university full-time. Even if Wind could go in now, he couldn’t stay long-term. Walking just behind them, Wind answered respectfully, “Sir, I’ve already arranged for enrollment. I’m now officially a student at Governance University.” Arthur nearly choked on the sip of water he’d just taken. He spun around in disbelief. “You’re already a student?” Wind nodded seriously. “Yes, sir.” “Freshman?” “No. Senior.” After a pause, Wind added, “Given my age, I couldn’t get in as a freshman.” He said it with such a straight face that Arthur and Ashley nearly burst out laughing.
