Stronger Every Time I Die
Taylor suddenly remembered something. "Oh right, today is Sage's open lecture. Do you want to go check it out?" "Sage's open lecture?" Arthur was surprised. Sage is still a student! "Yeah," Taylor said nonchalantly as if he was used to it, "I told you before, Sage's papers have been included in the textbooks, and when he has time, he also teaches classes to the underclassmen." Ah, Sage has surprised Arthur again. They’re both students, yet Sage, a junior, is already teaching freshmen and sophomores! Taylor chuckled, "Sage's lectures are very enlightening. The classroom is always packed whenever he teaches." He glanced at the time, "It's about time to go if you want to attend." Arthur immediately nodded, "Yes! Of course, I want to go!" He was just a freshman, so naturally, he wanted to attend! After quickly getting ready, Arthur followed the directions Taylor had given him and headed straight to the classroom. By the time Arthur arrived, the classroom was already full. Wow! Classes hadn’t even officially started yet, and there were so many people attending! Even Mia was there! Arthur wondered if every student who stayed on campus had come to the lecture. And in the classroom, there weren’t just freshmen and sophomores, but also juniors! Even seniors were there! Seniors attending a junior’s lecture? It felt almost magical. When Arthur entered the classroom, Sage had just arrived too. Sage gave Arthur a glance but didn't say much. With the front seats already taken, Arthur found a spot in the back row and sat down. As soon as Sage appeared, the whole classroom buzzed with excitement. It had to be said, Sage was really handsome! His cool demeanor must have captured the hearts of countless young women. Sage just glanced around, and everyone immediately fell silent. Sage was known to have a temper. This intimidating presence had Arthur marveling. Throughout the lecture, Arthur understood why even seniors attended Sage's classes. He didn't teach the usual textbook content, but real case analyses. Arthur listened intently the entire time. Sage’s explanations were so detailed that Arthur felt like his brain had grown after just one lecture. After leaving the classroom, Arthur was impressed again. Strong! Really strong! For nearly half a month, Arthur had been studying non-stop from the moment he woke up, truly a king of cramming! Then came the official start of the academic year. Early in the morning, Taylor was knocking on his door. "Arthur, Arthur!" After knocking for a while with no answer, Taylor decisively switched to banging on the door. Just as he was getting into it, the door suddenly opened! Taylor stumbled, nearly falling face-first. Arthur quickly caught him. "Are you here to knock on the door, or to break it down?" Arthur said, his face deadpan. Taylor quickly steadied himself using Arthur's arm. He chuckled sheepishly, "What were you doing? Why didn’t you open the door sooner?" Arthur rolled his eyes, "I came to open the door as soon as I heard you knocking. You’re just too impatient, that’s why it felt long." "Ah?" Taylor scratched his head awkwardly, "Okay, then." After a brief pause, Taylor shrugged off the awkwardness. With brotherly warmth, he slung his arm around Arthur’s shoulder, his eyes gleaming, "Today's the first day of school! Come on, let’s go see if there are any pretty new students!" Arthur paused, "That’s what got you this excited?" Taylor was momentarily taken aback by Arthur's question. "Isn’t it a big enough deal to get excited about?" Arthur removed his hand, "I have a fiancee, I'm not interested in new students.""Ah?" Taylor was shocked, "You have a fiancee?" "Yes!" Arthur nodded. He had just video-chatted with Ashley the night before. It had been a while since he’d seen Ashley, and he really missed her. Back in Seacity, Arthur and Ashley’s engagement was widely known, but not so much in Evergrand City. Seacity had its share of business tycoons, but Evergrand City had even more! There were many more prominent businessmen in Evergrand City than Arthur, and the Cloudia Corporation wasn’t as sensational there. For someone like Taylor, who was always buried in his studies, it was normal not to notice what was happening in Seacity. Coming from an ordinary family, Taylor didn't pay much attention to the affairs of the wealthy circles. Taylor, surprised, covered his mouth, "You’re only eighteen and already engaged!"
