Stronger Every Time I Die

Chapter 326 Wait… I Get My Own House?

Both of them responded in unison, "Okay." Just as the words left their mouths, Taylor burst in. "Arthur, I'll help you with your luggage!" Before Arthur could even reply, Taylor had already grabbed his bags and rushed outside. Arthur let out a helpless chuckle and quickly followed after him. Seeing that everything was settled, Mia and Sage each went about their own business. As Taylor led Arthur toward the dorms, he enthusiastically introduced every part of the campus. He went into great detail, even explaining the history behind each building along the way. Arthur couldn't help but praise him. "Taylor, you really are the encyclopedia of Governance University!" Taylor grinned proudly. "That’s what everyone says!" As they chatted, Taylor led Arthur to his new residence. Pointing to a small courtyard ahead, he said, "This is where we live. Look, your house is right over there." He gestured toward a house in the middle of the courtyard. Arthur hadn't been aware that he would have an entire house to himself. He looked at Taylor in confusion. "This is our dorm? How many people live in this building?" The setup looked just like a row of small villas. The environment was incredible—there was even a small bamboo grove nearby, making the place feel serene and secluded. It was completely different from the dorms he had stayed in at South City High! Back then, the dorms were in large, multi-story buildings, with several students crammed into each room. Even when he managed to secure a single room, it was still within a larger dormitory building, with limited space. With so many students in one building, it was always noisy, and even in the most secluded areas, he couldn't escape the disturbances. But here, this courtyard was peaceful, like a hidden paradise. Only a few villa-style houses were nestled within it, and the whole area was free from the usual campus hustle and bustle. Taylor smirked proudly. "This courtyard is specially designated for us! We each get our own house. In all of Governance University, only we have this privilege!" He then pointed to another house nearby. "See that one? That’s my dorm. From now on, we’re neighbors!" "Each... each person gets an entire house?" Arthur was stunned! This was Evergrand City! And a university here was offering students an entire house for their dorm? That was beyond extravagant! Even Arthur, who was already quite well-off, was taken aback. Seeing Arthur’s shocked expression, Taylor looked even more pleased with himself. When he first got his own house, he had been even more surprised than Arthur was now! Taylor’s parents came from an ordinary background, and everything he had achieved was the result of his own efforts. To put it bluntly, this was the best place he had ever lived in. Back then, he had been so shocked that his eyes nearly popped out of his head. Mia had even laughed at him for it. Now, it was finally his turn to watch someone else be just as astonished! Taylor felt a sense of balance return to his heart. After taking a moment to enjoy Arthur’s expression, Taylor continued, "Drop off your luggage, and I'll take you to check out the cafeteria. The food at Governance University is amazing, everything they serve is delicious." As he spoke, he took the initiative to help Arthur carry his bags inside. Arthur was grateful. "Thanks, Taylor." Hearing that, Taylor practically melted. He quickly waved it off. "Oh, come on, no need to be polite! You’re my junior, after all! As your senior, it’s my duty to look after you!" He patted his chest confidently as he spoke. Arthur couldn’t help but laugh. Taylor was truly adorable. It had been a long time since he had met someone so genuine. Just being treated as a senior was enough for Taylor to offer up everything he had. The house was spotless. Taylor mentioned that Hugo had returned the day before and arranged for the place to be cleaned. The furniture and household essentials were all provided, so Arthur could move in immediately without worrying about getting anything else. He was more than satisfied with this arrangement—it saved him the trouble of running around buying necessities. This level of convenience was a luxury. Once again, Arthur felt grateful to Hugo in his heart. On the way to the cafeteria, Taylor seemed even more excited. It was almost mealtime. Even though it was summer break, the cafeteria remained open, ensuring that students who stayed on campus or arrived early had access to healthy and delicious meals. Every aspect of Governance University impressed Arthur. Taylor continued enthusiastically talking about the school as he practically bounced his way toward the cafeteria.
