The Despised Luna's Comeback
What I said struck a nerve with Wendy. Her face turned from pale to an unhealthy shade of green, her lips quivering as she bit down hard to hold back her words. Her gaze was sharp and furious as she glared at me. "Rosaline, don't push your luck!" I let out a light, amused chuckle and met her eyes directly. "Push my luck? Is that what you call this? I'm learning all sorts of things today." I didn't spare either Wendy or Queenie another look, simply brushing past them. As I walked away, I threw a cold remark over my shoulder. "Feel free to do something if you're that eager. I'm ready when you are." "You shameless Omega bitch, do you think you're so powerful, acting all high and mighty like this!" Queenie shouted, her voice laced with venom as she cursed at my retreating figure. ... I made my way upstairs and found Caden standing in the hallway, waiting for me. I walked straight to him, wrapping my arms around his waist as I approached. "It's so annoying," Caden muttered, his voice dripping with irritation. "I was hoping to see Grandpa when I got back." A cold gleam flashed in his eyes, revealing how much he despised returning to the Moonshadow Pack's old mansion. Queenie and Eleanor's presence here was a constant source of frustration for him. Though he wasn't scared of them, he tolerated their presence out of respect for Richard. Richard didn't exactly like them either, but since they were members of the Eclipse Pack, he felt obligated to protect them as long as they didn't cross certain boundaries. Caden pulled me into a room, his hand resting firmly on my back. I casually draped my arms around his neck, remembering something that made me pause. I looked up at him with a thoughtful expression. "Caden, do you think I was too harsh just now?" The thought of Wendy's pitiful performance made me shudder in disgust. With a soft sigh, I placed my fingers gently on his hand, then looked at him with a sweet, almost helpless expression. "Caden, you must be so tired after today," I said, perfectly mimicking Wendy's tone. Caden raised an eyebrow, his gaze shifting slightly as he observed me."Cut it out," he said, his voice warm but firm. Not ready to let it go, I swayed my hips closer to him, leaning into his embrace and speaking in a low, flirtatious tone. "Cady, don't you care about me?" Caden froze for a second before his hand gently cupped my chin, pulling me closer. "What did you just call me?" I grinned, leaning in close to his ear and letting my breath brush against his skin. "Cady," I whispered, drawing out the word slowly, each syllable intentional. His throat tightened, and with a sudden movement, he pushed me onto the bed. Hovering over me, his arms planted on either side, he leaned down, his voice low and filled with desire. "Rosaline ... " His voice made my heart race, full of raw emotion. I wrapped my arms around his neck, tilting my head up to kiss him. The world around us seemed to blur as our lips met, the air around us heating up, our bodies drawn together. But just then, we heard footsteps approaching. "Caden, why didn't you bring Rosie to see me when you got back? You don't think I'm annoying, do you?" The door suddenly swung open. Mid-kiss, we froze. Without thinking, I pushed Caden away, my face turning crimson as I hid it against his chest. Standing in the doorway was none other than Richard, caught in a very awkward moment. Caden quickly straightened up, pulling me into his arms as his expression turned icy. "Grandpa, could you at least knock next time?" Richard cleared his throat, trying to cover his blunder. After hearing Caden's words, he stood up straighter and huffed, "What's the big deal? It's not like you're doing anything inappropriate. I just walked into the wrong room. Don't mind me. Go on with what you were doing. Maybe I'll get a chubby grandkid out of this soon. Heard that, Rosie?" What was he talking about, a chubby grandkid? His blunt comment left me blushing, too embarrassed to look at him. "Well, get back to what you were doing. Why are you both staring at me?" Richard continued. "Grandpa." Caden's voice was now a low, icy warning.Richard picked up on the tension and quickly turned to leave, muttering to himself, "Young people these days. They don't even close the door properly anymore." I had never been so mortified. Hiding my face with my hands, I buried myself in Caden's chest, unsure of what to say. After a few moments, I managed to regain some composure and muttered, "I'll go take a shower." But just as I stepped toward the bathroom and reached for the door, a hand pressed against the doorframe, causing me to jump. "What are you doing?" I asked, confused, glancing up at Caden. He flashed a sly grin, effortlessly stepping into the bathroom with me, his expression innocent. "Taking a shower."
