The Despised Luna's Comeback
The GPS tracker were on all the way, and I finally reached the stage where the light cursor overlapped the blue dot. A forest opened up in front of me, with no one along the road beside it. My heart skipped a beat. After parking the car, I quickly opened the door and ran out. I slowly ventured into the forest by following the directions on my phone, but not far from the entrance, I stumbled upon Caden's phone. I picked it up and stared at the screen emitting a faint light. With a frown, I looked around and called out nervously, "Caden! Caden!" There was no response. The fact that the phone was left here meant that Caden wouldn't have gone too far. But if he wasn't in Brooksdale, why would his phone be here? Suddenly, I thought of something. The last ferry to Brooksdale was at eight o'clock. If someone wanted to take Caden away, it would have to be tomorrow at the earliest ... It was Michelle! Michelle's name popped up in my mind. Caden was here in Brooksdale because of Michelle in the first place. So if Caden was missing now, the last person who met him must be Michelle. After all, with Caden's cautious nature as the heir to the pack, no ordinary people would be able to do anything to him. Perhaps his disappearance had something to do with Michelle. While I was mulling over this, Yale called me. "Mrs. Holbrook, we haven't found the CEO yet! Could something have happened to him?" At that point, I had completely calmed down. I had already asked Anthony to locate Michelle, so my priority now was to make Yale join my mission. If Caden was really with Michelle, it would be in my best interest to bring a handful of bodyguards from the Eclipse Pack. Of course, I didn't want Michelle to turn into someone like Wendy. "Caden must be in Brooksdale. I'll send you a location, bring your men over immediately." "Okay." Michelle's POV: I had initially wanted to take advantage of Caden in his weakened state, but he surprised me with his grit as he refused to give in. My patience was running out, but it was not because of Caden. I just felt that if I continued to waste time doing this, Rosaline might catch wind of this anytime soon. Before I was discovered, I thought it would be best to quickly transport Caden back to Fostrau. The private jet was not far away, ready to leave at any time. I paused, stood up, and draped the sweater on the chair over me. I said to the werewolf bodyguards hiding nearly indifferently, "Come over here and tie Caden securely. In an hour, when it's daylight, we'll go straight back to Fostrau." "Let me go!" Caden called out. His hands were tied behind him by two strong werewolf bodyguards holding him, one on each side, not letting him out of their sight. I injected him with a bit of hallucinogenic drug to suppress his powers, making it impossible for him to break free from the ropes or transform into a wolf. "Caden, stop resisting. Listen to me. Come back to Fostrau with me and we'll live happily ever after," I caressed Caden's face and said lovingly. Caden looked at me with a confused expression and said, "Michelle, you're Gerald's daughter, and I'm your father's friend. In a way, I'm like an elder to you. Can't you see that you don't need to do this?" I titled my head and replied nonchalantly, "You're an elder to me? Caden, you're only five or six years older than me, so that doesn't really mean that you're my elder. Besides, I really like you and want to see you every day." "What about Rosaline?" He stared into my eyes. I pouted and complained, "Caden, why are you bringing up Rosaline now? Don't you know that I've been jealous of her since the moment I saw you? Why don't you understand my feelings?" Caden pursed his lips and looked at me with a hint of despair. I smiled and said, "Just wait until dawn. Then, I'll take you on a private plane back to Fostrau, where no one will ever find us." Caden's POV: After Michelle injected me with drugs, I felt all last traces of strength draining out of my body. To make sure that I wouldn't run away, she ordered two werewolf bodyguards to watch over me. As dawn approached, the two werewolf bodyguards standing beside me began to yawn. At the same time, I felt the effects of the drugs slowly wearing off. I glanced at the two werewolf bodyguards and said lightly, "You don't have to work so hard, do you? I've been drugged and tied up like this. I can't even run. If you're tired, you might as well take a nap." "No, we can't do that ... you would run away!" One of the werewolf bodyguards was so tired that his eyes were almost shut, his head nodding intermittently. Yet, he tried his best to not fall asleep. Well, theydohave a senseofprofessionalism. I sneered silently and instinctively reached back, only to touch the sharp corner of a pillar. I felt a slight pain in my fingertips when I touched it just now. My opportunity has come!
