The Despised Luna's Comeback
Michelle's POV: I watched as Caden collapsed to the floor. Quietly, I walked over and knelt beside him, rubbing the side of his absurdly handsome face with my fingertips. I couldn't help but smile. Several werewolf bodyguards appeared from the darkness. One of them was holding the voice changer device in his hand. This entire setup was created just for Caden. I'd staged my own kidnapping and had the bodyguards call him ahead of time using the voice changer. Meanwhile, I'd already purchased a plane ticket back to Fostrau. As long as I could sleep with Caden and make it seem natural, I'd use my identity as the princess of the wolf clan to pressure him into taking responsibility. He wouldn't dare deny it. Once that happened, his engagement with Rosaline would fall apart on its own. "Find his phone and throw it somewhere in the outskirts. Rosaline can't find out where he is," I ordered softly, glancing over my shoulder at one of the bodyguards. Caden has always been all I wanted and cared about. Caden's POV: I slowly opened my eyes, still dazed. Above me was the ceiling of a small wooden cabin. My limbs felt heavy like I was submerged underwater. I couldn't even lift my hand. What the hell was going on? Just then, a gentle voice drifted to my ears. "Caden, you're finally awake." My brain stalled for a moment. Then, upon hearing Michelle's voice, everything rushed back to me. I turned my head instinctively and saw her standing there, completely unscathed. She was dressed in black lingerie that barely concealed anything. Even the long coat she wore was just a thin, sheer veil made for seduction. I stared at her and asked in a low voice, "Michelle, what are you doing?" She let out a light laugh, covering her mouth with one hand. Her golden hair fell softly over her shoulder as she leaned closer, her fingers trailing along my face, carrying the faint scent of perfume that made my head spin. She tilted my chin up and said sweetly, "Caden, don't blame me. If I didn't do this, how else could I get close to you? How else could I bring you back to Fostrau with me?" "What are you even talking about?" I was completely lost. I tried to push her away, but the drug hadn't worn off yet. I had no strength. Frustrated, I turned my face to the side, refusing to look at her. Michelle didn't appear to be upset. She knelt down and gently cupped my face in her hands, eyes full of sincere longing. "Caden, you have no idea how much I like you. From the very first moment I saw you, I knew you were my destined mate. Why won't you accept me? What's so bad about being with me? I'll take you back to Fostrau, and we'll live together day and night. One day, you'll fall in love with me too." My heart was overwhelmed with shock and confusion. I couldn't understand how Michelle can be so obsessed. She was going too far. I had already told her clearly how things were. And besides, how could the bond of a destined mate be treated like some kind of joke? "Michelle, be quiet! I've already told you that I'm with Rosaline. We're about to get engaged!" The moment she heard Rosaline's name, Michelle's expression froze. "So what? It won't matter soon anyway. She's not going to be yours for much longer." Rage boiled in my chest. I never imagined Michelle would be this deceptive and manipulative, employing such vile tricks to trap me. If I'd known she'd pull something like this, I never would've come looking for this spoiled little princess. She didn't seem to care at all about the fury on my face. Instead, she leaned in and started kissing my cheek, my ear, and even my lips. Her hand slipped downward, trying to undo my belt. "Michelle, are you crazy? Stop it! If your father finds out what you're doing, he won't forgive you! What the hell do you think you're doing?!" I wanted to get away from her but my body still wouldn't move. All I could do was yell, hoping to snap her out of whatever delusion she was living in. However, she wasn't listening. Not to a single word. The more I yelled, the more excited she became. To her ears, my anger must've sounded like I was whispering love instead of warning. "You can say whatever you want. After tonight, I'll be yours, and you'll be mine. And once my father knows I've been with you, he'll be thrilled. "I want you, Caden. I want to have you." Rosaline's POV: I waited at home for Caden's call all night. However, when the clock inched toward midnight, my phone remained silent. Worried, I called him myself. Yet, after five or six calls in a row, all I got was the same mechanical voice telling me the call couldn't be answered. The unease in my chest twisted into something heavier. I couldn't sit still any longer. I picked up the phone and called Yale, quickly explaining what had happened and asking him to gather people and go find Caden.Yale sounded just as worried the moment he heard. He agreed right away and hung up to take action. After that, I called Anthony. "Hey, Anthony. I need your help. Can you track Caden's phone? He still hasn't contacted me, and I'm going to look for him right now." "Got it. Give me five minutes," Anthony replied without hesitation. Exactly five minutes later, I received a text from him with the detailed GPS location of Caden's phone. Was he in Brooksdale? My heart clenched with confusion, but there was no time to wonder. I grabbed my coat, got into the car, and drove off. The navigation said it would take two hours to reach that location in Brooksdale. I floored the gas pedal, watching the dot on the screen grow closer and closer to Caden's last known spot. The closer I got, the more anxious I became. Caden, please be safe.
