The Despised Luna's Comeback
Michelle's POV: Rosaline and Joel, running away together? I was staying in a hotel in Rivemon when I first saw the trending news about Rosaline and Joel. Shocked, I quickly grabbed my phone, eager to reach out to Joel and find out what was really going on. "Joel, are you with Rosaline?" I asked directly. Joel picked up the call, sounding surprised. Then he admitted, "We're not together, but I'm trying to win her over right now. How did you find out?" "Are you in the same city as her? Let's meet tomorrow. I'm in Rivemon too," I said before ending the call. The next day, I met Joel at a busy little park in the heart of the city. "How did you end up here? You've never been one for travel," Joel asked, giving me a curious look. I met his gaze and let out a sigh. "Joel, I'll be honest. I've been in love with Caden ever since the first time I saw him." Joel's eyes widened in surprise, and he stood still for a moment before breaking into a grin. "I'm happy for you. True love is something worth chasing. And as for me, I'm after Rosaline, even though she's saying she's going to get engaged to Caden. But if you keep at it, you can get what you want." "Alright, I understand. I wish you luck, and when the time comes, we'll be with the ones we love," I replied. I had been gauging Joel's response. Even though he's close to Rosaline, love is inherently selfish, isn't it? After parting ways with Joel, I took a taxi to Eclipse Pack's headquarters. The reason I had come to Rivemon was because of him. Following the receptionist's directions, I made my way to Caden's office. "Princess Michelle, what brings you here? Looking for Rosaline?" Caden asked, his expression surprised when he saw me, though he greeted me politely. "She was just saying how much she missed you the other day."The mention of Rosaline's name made my stomach churn, but I quickly masked my emotions with a faint smile. "I came a few days ago to clear my head. And no, I'm not here to see Rosaline today. I came specifically to see you." "See me? For what?" Caden asked cautiously, his tone shifting slightly. "Caden," I stood up from the sofa and walked toward him, locking eyes. I spoke seriously and with sincerity. "I'm in love with you. Will you be with me?" Caden's expression shifted, and he looked away instinctively. After a long pause, he replied, "Princess Michelle ... I'm sorry, but this is our first time meeting, and I don't really know you. Plus, you're Rosaline's friend. I think it's best we don't joke around like this." My anxiety grew. I quickly stepped closer, now only a few inches from him, and spoke with urgency, "I'm not joking. I'm really in love with you." Caden took a couple of steps back, a frown creasing his face as he looked at me. He tried to remain composed. "Princess, you're only 17, and you're still in school. I love Rosaline. We're about to get engaged. You should find someone who feels the same way about you." I stood frozen, staring at Caden for a long moment before finally speaking, "Is Rosaline really that amazing? You love her that much?" Caden didn't respond, only saying, "Sorry, I have a meeting soon. If you have nothing else, you should head back now." His words hit me hard, like a cold splash of water, drenching me completely. But I was the princess of Fostrau's werewolf clan, and even after hearing Caden's answer, I wasn't going to give up easily. I had to try again. So, I clenched my fist, looked him in the eyes, and said, "You don't need to reject me so quickly. One day, you'll realize that I'm your destined mate. Just wait and see." With that, I gave him a confident smile and walked out of his office. Rosaline's POV: That evening, when Caden came home, I was already there. As usual, we curled up together on the couch, exchanging soft words. Eventually, Caden rested his head in my lap. After a moment of silence, he spoke. "Michelle's in Rivemon. Did you know that?" "Is she?" I glanced at him in surprise. I knew it. Michelle had feelings for him. "I didn't know about that. She might have come here for you," I replied, my voice tinged with a hint of jealousy. "Yeah, she came to see me. She told me she was in love with me and wanted to be with me," Caden said, noticing my discomfort and trying to ease the tension. I instinctively tightened my grip on his shirt sleeve, my voice shaky as I asked, "So ... what did you say?" Caden looked into my eyes seriously, a soft smile crossing his face. "I told her I already have you, and that she shouldn't joke around. She's just a little girl, caught up in a passing fancy."
