The Despised Luna's Comeback

Chapter 567 Grandpa Returned

Caden's POV: My heart skipped a beat. Rosaline actually confessed to me first! The sight of her like this completely captivated me. I raised an eyebrow, pulling her closer, and Rosaline smiled before leaning in to kiss me with her soft, red lips. The passionate kiss made the room grow warmer by the second. But just as we were completely lost in the moment, Rosaline's phone rang. She came to her senses, her eyes still dazed as she gasped, "I ... I need to take this call ... " Reluctantly, I released her. Rosaline picked up her phone, glanced at it, and then exclaimed with delight, "Grandpa!" On the other end of the phone, Rosaline's grandfather's hearty voice came through. "I've booked my flight for tomorrow to Rivemon." "Really? That's amazing!" Rosaline's face lit up with joy. "I'll go pick you up from the airport tomorrow." "Okay," her grandpa replied, and then the call ended. Rosaline set the phone down, adjusted her clothes, and turned to me. "Grandpa's coming tomorrow." I smiled and nodded. "I'll go with you to the airport tomorrow." Rosaline's POV: The next day, I woke up early. Today was the day my grandpa was coming back from abroad. I was so excited last night that I couldn't fall asleep, thinking about how I'd finally get to see him today. The three months I had promised him were almost up. Thinking back to when I first arrived in Rivemon, my life at Eclipse Group now felt like a dream. How things have changed. "I'll go with you to the airport to pick up Grandpa," Caden said slowly as he opened the door.I smiled and nodded. "Okay, Grandpa will be happy to see you." My grandpa had always had a good impression of Caden, and now, seeing how well Caden and I were getting along, I was sure he'd be even more at ease. On the way to the airport, I looked out the window and said to Caden, "Grandpa's been traveling the world for quite a while now. I wonder how he's been enjoying it." I was raised by my grandpa, and we share a deep bond. He used to be so busy with work, but now he finally had the time to travel. I hoped he had a great time. "Once we meet him, you can ask him yourself," Caden said, teasing me as I kept rambling on. We arrived at the airport, and Caden parked the car before walking with me into the terminal. "The flight lands in about ten minutes," he said, checking the rolling screen. "Want to sit down and relax for a bit? He won't be off the plane for a while." I shook my head, my gaze fixed firmly on the exit. "No, I want to see Grandpa as soon as he comes out. The plane might land early." For the next ten minutes, I kept my eyes locked on the exit, eagerly waiting for my grandpa to appear. The airport's announcement came over the loudspeaker, "The flight from Dumeirah to Rivemon has landed. Please disembark in an orderly manner." My eyes lit up at the sound, and I hurried forward a few steps. My grandpa spotted me as soon as he stepped out and called out loudly, "Ah, my dear granddaughter ... " I hurried over, taking his luggage. "Grandpa, were you tired on the plane? How was your trip around the world?" "It was wonderful. The landscapes abroad are all so unique and beautiful," my grandpa said, smiling kindly. "When you two get married and go on your honeymoon, make sure to travel more and see the world." "Oh, Grandpa ... " I blushed a little when he brought up marriage, playfully protesting. Caden walked over and politely greeted my grandpa, then thoughtfully took the suitcase from my hands. "Let me carry this for you." Seeing Caden treat me so kindly, my grandpa's smile grew wider. "I'm getting more pleased with Caden. As long as you treat Rosie well, that's all that matters," my grandpa said earnestly."Of course, I'll make Rosaline the happiest woman in the world," Caden said, his voice low and filled with certainty. "Great!" Grandpa nodded repeatedly, his eyes shining with approval for Caden. As I watched my grandpa shower Caden with praise, I leaned on his arm and playfully pouted. "Grandpa, so who's the real family here, me or him?" "Jealous, huh?" my grandpa chuckled, giving my hand a light pat before looking at Caden. "My granddaughter might seem mature, but she still has her childish side. I hope you'll treat her well and make sure she never suffers." Caden nodded seriously, earnestly saying, "You don't have to worry. I'll take care of Rosaline and ensure she never suffers." He wrapped his arm around my shoulders, smiling gently. "By the way, my grandfather has prepared a feast at the old mansion of Eclipse Group today, specifically to welcome you," Caden said calmly as he placed the suitcase in the trunk.
