Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming

Chapter 75 Destroyed by Jealousy

“Alright, Adrian, this isn’t the time to keep denying it. David is your friend—what he says is more credible!” The principal now sounded more convinced than ever. “Adrian shows no remorse for cheating. After a unanimous decision from the faculty, we’ve decided he will be expelled.” Then he turned to me with a forced, apologetic smile. “I’m sorry, Ms. Raelynn. The impact of this incident is too severe. I have no choice.” “Hold on. Isn’t it a little premature to come to such a conclusion?” I looked straight at the principal. The principal raised a brow. “Why? Does Ms. Raelynn have a different perspective?” I nodded. “Principal, here’s the thing—I personally helped Adrian review for the exam. Based on what I saw, he’s more than capable. I don’t believe he needed to cheat.” The principal let out an awkward chuckle. “Ms. Raelynn, I understand what you’re saying, but—” “If you don’t believe me, then test him now. There should be backup test papers, right?” The principal froze, clearly not expecting me to suggest that. The advisor chimed in, “There are two versions—A and B. We used A earlier, but the B version is a bit harder...” “Bring it out. Let him take it.” I didn’t hesitate at all. The principal chuckled. “Fine. This way, even if Adrian is expelled, at least it’ll be fair and clear.” A teacher took out the test and placed it in front of Adrian. “This version’s slightly more difficult. We’ll give you 150 minutes—an extra half hour.” Adrian shoved the test aside. “I’m not doing it.” I looked at him. “Adrian, do it.” “Raelynn-jie, I didn’t cheat! Why should I have to prove myself?” Adrian was upset, his tone rising. I smiled calmly. “Just do your best. I’ll handle the rest.” Seeing my composed expression, Adrian bit his lip, then nodded. “Fine. I’ll do it.” Adrian started the test while the rest of us waited silently nearby. An hour and a half passed. Adrian put down his pen and handed the test to the principal. The principal put on his glasses, checked the answers carefully, then looked up in shock. “Was this version leaked? He only got one fill-in-the-blank question wrong?” The advisor was stunned too. He rushed over, took the test, and checked the answers himself. “That’s impossible… None of the students knew there was a B version.” He looked utterly incredulous. I smiled. “Now that Adrian’s ability is proven, let’s talk about David.” David flinched as soon as I called his name. “There’s nothing to talk about! He probably just got lucky this time... that’s all…” I stared into his eyes, lips curling into a cold smile. “Adrian really made a great friend.” David immediately looked away, avoiding my gaze. “There should be surveillance in the classroom, right? Once we check the footage, we’ll see if Adrian was framed.” I turned to the principal. But the principal shook his head. “Unfortunately, today’s surveillance footage wasn’t saved due to a technical issue.” I noticed how relieved David looked when I mentioned checking the cameras. That told me everything I needed to know. He must’ve deleted it. But what a shame—he didn’t know the woman standing before him was the world’s greatest hacker. “It’s fine. Let me take a look,” I said. The principal didn’t dare stop me and opened the central surveillance system. I walked over and checked the system. Sure enough, the footage hadn’t simply failed to save—it had been intentionally deleted. With just a few lines of code, I restored all the lost data. The deleted surveillance video popped right back up. “Principal, take a look.” I pointed at the screen. “This silhouette looks familiar… isn’t that David?” The video clearly showed David sneaking into the classroom during break when no one was around. He slipped the cheat sheet onto Adrian’s desk, then casually walked away. “This...” The principal was dumbfounded. Adrian let out a cold laugh. “I knew it was you.” David’s voice shook. “N-no, it’s not me! That video’s fake!” I stared him down and said firmly, “You know better than anyone whether it’s fake or not.” The principal and the advisor both turned to look at David. Realizing he couldn’t deny it any longer, David suddenly let out a vicious laugh. “I know? Know what? We’re all werewolves—why does he get to be born with privilege? With money and status? And even for this test—none of us studied, so why should he score so high?!” I looked at this boy—eaten alive by jealousy, driven to betrayal—and shook my head. “No matter the reason, what you did was wrong. Cheating is one thing, but framing someone else—that’s serious.” David stumbled back, legs giving out as he collapsed to the floor. I turned to the advisor beside me and said with a cold smile, “Teacher, you seem to have a special connection to David. You haven’t taken your eyes off him since I arrived. And when he got exposed just now, you looked just as nervous as he did.” “I didn’t expect this from you, David,” the principal thundered. “You always seemed so well-behaved—and now this? Starting tomorrow, you’re no longer welcome at this school. What a disgrace!” David’s face went pale. He turned and tried to leave, but I raised a hand to stop him. “Hold on.” David stared at me, panic-stricken. I said coldly, “Falsely accusing someone of cheating is a criminal offense. I’ve already called the police. You’d better think about how you’re going to explain this to them.” David let out a horrified cry and collapsed to the ground like a rag doll.
