Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
"Raelynn is the president of Bluewater Corporation." My assistant calmly explained, glancing around at the stunned crowd. Everyone’s expression changed instantly. Aiden’s eyes were locked on me, filled with obvious surprise and admiration. I smiled at him. Yes, Aiden, I’m the very same president of Bluewater Corporation—the one who rose to the top three in the entire continent in just two years. But unlike Aiden, the executives and board members in the room clearly didn’t believe it—especially Geraldine. “Raelynn, even if you really don’t want to take responsibility, you shouldn’t go around making up lies like this. If someone exposes you, your reputation will be destroyed,” Geraldine was the first to argue. The executive from earlier immediately chimed in. “Exactly! There’s no way you’re the president of Bluewater Corporation. If you really were, why would you spend so long working diligently at Eclipse Corporation? Wouldn’t running Bluewater be a lot more appealing?” I replied flatly, “You don’t get to decide whether it’s a lie.” Geraldine dropped the act, scowling at me. “Then show us proof. Prove you’re actually the president of Bluewater Corporation.” “What if I really am?” “If you are, then I’ll apologize to you,” she said, full of confidence. That was exactly what I’d been waiting for. I looked at her with amusement. “You’re really willing to apologize to me?” “Of course. Quit bluffing already,” Geraldine said confidently. I smiled, pulled out my phone, and dialed a number. “You can come in now.” Moments later, a werewolf appeared at the office door. Everyone stood up in shock the second they saw him.Because everyone knew who he was. It was Jackson—the Vice President of Bluewater Corporation. As soon as he saw me, Jackson strolled over, grinning. “Raelynn, what do you need me for?” I gestured toward Geraldine with a raised brow. “She doesn’t believe I’m the president of Bluewater. Why don’t you let her know?” Jackson chuckled and waved dismissively. “Who the hell is she? Why would you even care what someone like her thinks? Doesn’t matter who she is, we both know she’s not it.” The second those words left his mouth, Geraldine’s face turned pale, then green, then white. “But if we don’t make it clear,” I said with a sigh, “she’ll just keep running her mouth and twisting the facts. So go ahead and tell her directly—am I or am I not the president of Bluewater?” Jackson’s usual cheeky grin disappeared. His face grew serious as he looked Geraldine straight in the eye. “She is the president of Bluewater Corporation. If you have any doubts, come talk to me.” I had to admit—when Jackson got serious, he was actually pretty intimidating. Geraldine stood there, completely dumbfounded. At this point, even pretending not to understand was useless. All she could do was laugh awkwardly. “Well, that’s... that’s great news. Raelynn being the president of Bluewater is something to celebrate…” “Oh right,” I cut her off, “didn’t you just say if I were the president, you’d apologize? Time to make good on that.” Her face went dark. “We graduated from the same university… isn’t this kind of putting me in a tough spot?” she mumbled. “Thanks for reminding me. I almost forgot.” I reached into my stack of documents and pulled out one sheet, then tossed it onto the table. “Geraldine… you’re not actually Geraldine, are you?” Panic flashed across her face. “What are you talking about? Of course I’m Geraldine.” “If you hadn’t kept bragging about going to the same university as me, I wouldn’t have bothered digging through your background.” “The real Geraldine was always at the top of her class. Her photo was plastered everywhere on campus. The two of you don’t look a thing alike. You stole her identity to sneak your way into Eclipse Corporation, didn’t you?” She’d been too confident. Thought she could fool everyone. But I’m Raelynn. If I want to dig something up, there’s nothing I can’t find. Geraldine’s eyes hardened, and she snapped, “But what does that have to do with you sabotaging Eclipse Corporation? Even if my identity’s fake, I’ve never done anything to hurt the company!” I watched her try to argue and replied coldly, “If you’re not going to admit it, then don’t blame me for exposing everything you’ve done—one by one.”
