Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
Robin froze. “How did you find out?” “How I found out doesn’t matter. What matters is—you’ve always played favorites. It’s so sickening I could puke. I’m telling you, Robin—starting today, I have nothing to do with the Eclipse Pack.” Andrix tossed out those words and turned to leave. I called out after him. “Andrix, Mr. Robin raised you all these years—don’t you feel even a shred of gratitude?” “Gratitude?” Andrix turned back, his expression twisted. “Before I knew the truth, maybe I could swallow it all and keep my mouth shut. But now? He murdered my biological parents. And you expect me to be grateful to the man who killed my father?” There wasn’t a trace of calm left in his eyes—only cold, burning hatred. He turned and walked out, leaving Robin stunned and shattered, pain written all over his face. My heart felt heavy and conflicted. I walked over to try and comfort him. “Mr. Robin, please don’t be too upset. Andrix must’ve been misled by someone. He’ll come to understand the truth eventually.” Andrix had clearly been harboring these feelings for a long time; last night was just the spark that set everything off. No wonder he was so eager to pursue me before… so it was about the twenty percent shares of the Eclipse Corporation. Now that I was with Aiden, that dream had crumbled—and with it, the mask he’d worn. “I just hope he wakes up soon. I have no idea what kind of lies those bastards at Lawson Corp told him to make him think I killed his parents!” Robin suddenly doubled over in a coughing fit. I rushed to hand him a tissue—only to see dark red stains bloom across it. I gasped. “Mr. Robin, you’re coughing up blood—you’re going to make yourself sick with anger!” Clearly, what happened with Andrix had hit this Alpha harder than he could bear. Robin stared at the blood on the tissue and waved it off. “It’s nothing. I’m just… furious.” “Mr. Robin, I think we should tell Aiden about this,” I said softly. Robin wiped the corner of his mouth and let out a long, weary sigh. He didn’t object.I pulled out my phone and quickly dialed Aiden. “Aiden, come back quick, Mr. Robin’s coughing up blood!” Aiden’s POV: “What? He’s coughing blood?” I was on my way to work when Raelyn called. I immediately turned the car around and sped back to the villa. As soon as I stepped through the door, I saw my father sitting on the couch, blood at the corner of his mouth. Raelyn was sitting beside him. I walked straight over. “What happened?” “Andrix found out he’s not biologically related,” Raelyn explained. “And he misunderstood Mr. Robin—he thinks he’s the one who killed his parents. He sold the hospital and joined Thunder Pack’s Lawson Corp. Mr. Robin called him home, and Andrix let loose on him. That’s what pushed him to this point.” “So Andrix finally showed his true colors,” I sighed. I wasn’t too shaken by the betrayal itself. But seeing my father in this state—no matter how strong an Alpha he was, made it clear he needed time to recover. I decided to send him to a recovery facility to rest for a while. Dad didn’t object. So Raelyn and I made the arrangements together; once everything was in place, Mom came over to stay with him. Once we were settled, Raelyn pulled me aside in the hallway. “Right now, Andrix has joined the Thunder Pack. We still don’t know what he’s planning, but he’s going to retaliate with Lawson Corp. Maybe we should just observe for now—if he does anything that could hurt the Eclipse Pack, we need to be prepared.” When she finished, I said nothing, just stood there, staring into the distance. “Just yesterday you were brothers, now you’re enemies. It hurts, doesn’t it, Aiden?” I nodded. She understood me well; she was right. As the heir to the Eclipse Pack, I’d always treated my four brothers equally. Over the years, I’d worked hard to maintain peace between us—but I never expected the fallout to come so suddenly. Raelyn sighed again and added, “Aiden, this isn’t your fault. It’s Andrix who couldn’t let go, that’s what led him down this path. It has nothing to do with you. You don’t need to blame yourself for not living up to some imagined ideal.”I looked at her, emotions surging in my chest, unable to find the words. I stepped forward and hugged her. Raelyn didn’t pull away; she gently rubbed my back, comforting me. Andrix and I had never been particularly close—but after living under the same roof for more than twenty years, it was hard not to feel something. To see him suddenly leave the Eclipse Pack and turn against us… it was hard to accept. “Aiden, how’s Dad doing?” Adam and Adrian came running over, worry written all over their faces. Raelyn quickly stepped back, and I gestured to reassure them. “He just got too worked up and coughed up some blood. He’s okay now. Nothing to worry about.” “Casey already told me what happened at home while I was on the way here,” Adrian said. He had a hot temper and immediately cursed, “Ungrateful trash, let him leave if he wants to. Why should we care?” Adam, though calmer, didn’t mince words either. “He made his choice when he walked away from the Eclipse Pack. There’s no point in mourning someone like that.” “Enough. Adrian, you need to get back to school. I’ll take care of things at the hospital,” I said, suddenly realizing he must’ve skipped class to come here. “Aiden! I want to stay here and take care of dad. You’re the one who’s busy with work—go back to the company!” Adrian stood tall, stubborn as ever. “All right, all right, both of you quit it. I’m basically unemployed right now; you two have more important things to do. Let me handle looking after dad.” Adam really did have a lot of free time lately, so it made sense for him to stay. I thought it over and nodded.
