Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
Andrix returned quickly. The moment he stepped through the door, he wore a faint, unreadable smile, like something good had just happened. “Andrix,” Robin said, voice hard, “I’m giving you one more chance. Explain why you sold the hospital and joined Lawson Corp.” Andrix didn’t flinch at the Alpha’s fury. He sank into the couch, crossed one leg over the other, and replied coldly, “You wouldn’t let me join Eclipse Corporation; what right do you have to stop me from joining Lawson Corp?” Robin stared at him in disbelief. “Andrix, do you even hear yourself? I didn’t let you into Eclipse because I was trying to protect you—do you understand that?” “How was that protection? You just didn’t want me going up against Aiden for the CEO position,” Andrix sneered. “Even Alex got an executive job, and he barely does anything. I never even got a shot. It’s laughable. Tell me, Alpha, are you not playing favorites?” Robin opened his mouth, but for a moment, he was at a loss for words. I frowned and spoke up. “Andrix, is that any way to talk to Mr. Robin?” A glint of ice flashed in Andrix’s eyes. “Raelyn, this is between me and my father. You’re an outsider—so stay out of it.” Robin roared, “Andrix, how dare you speak to Rae like that! What outsider? She’s the future Luna of Eclipse Pack, your sister-in-law!” “Oh, I know. Luna, sister-in-law… trust me, I’ve heard it all before. Everyone loves Aiden. You only care about him. That’s why you never let me shine; you stuck me in that rundown hospital as some second-rate director. Sure, I admit, you were willing to toss me that place like a bone, just so I’d have a seat at the table. But I still don’t understand why you wouldn’t let me into the company.” Robin’s anger faded a bit. He let out a long, weary sigh. “Andrix, you’ve really misunderstood everything.” “Misunderstood?” Andrix laughed, voice tight. “What exactly have I misunderstood? Go ahead, tell me more lies.” The distrust in his voice was absolute. “You weren’t like this when you were little,” Robin said quietly. “You were such a good kid, always listened, always did your best. But your personality was too soft. I was afraid you’d get hurt, so I tried to protect you; I kept you in a safe space, sheltered from the world.” “You always said you wanted to be a doctor—to save lives and help people. That’s why I bought the hospital for you, so you could follow your dream.”“I never imagined you’d feel this way. It’s my fault, I should’ve realized what was going on sooner. I’m sorry.” Robin’s apology came from the heart; even I was moved by it. But it was like Andrix hadn’t heard a word. He let out a bitter laugh. “If I didn’t know the truth, I’d probably be touched by what you just said. But I know everything now. Dad, or no, I should say Mr. Robin, I’m not your biological son, am I?” I froze; the shock hit me like a punch to the chest. Robin went pale. “How did you find out?” “How I found out doesn’t matter. What matters is that you stop feeding me lies. The only reason you were good to me was out of guilt—you were afraid karma would come for you. Deep down, you never saw me as your own son, did you?” Robin’s expression darkened. “What are you talking about?” The cold in Andrix’s eyes spread like a storm. “My biological father… you’re the one who killed him, aren’t you?” Robin stared at him, face twitching with emotion. “Andrix, do you even know what you’re saying?” Andrix laughed, slow and cutting. “Of course I do. You hit my parents with your car and killed them, that’s why I ended up an orphan. You were afraid karma would come knocking, so you reluctantly took me in. I know everything.” “Andrix,” Robin said, voice trembling, “it’s not like that. Your father was drunk that night—he caused the accident. I happened to pass by; I saw you sitting there, all alone and covered in blood. I couldn’t just walk away, not when you were the only one left. That’s why I adopted you. I didn’t hurt your parents, how could I ever do that?” Andrix let out a cold laugh. “Mr. Robin, if you’re going to make up a story, at least come up with one I haven’t already heard. I knew you’d say that. You really think I’d believe it?” Listening to the truth come out like that, I finally understood all of Andrix’s past behavior. So that’s it… His heart had long since turned dark—because of who he really was. “You want to know why I joined Lawson Corp?” Andrix said. “Because their CEO told me the truth. I was shocked—twenty years calling you ‘father,’ and you’re the one who killed my real parents. I hate you.” “I hate that I treated a murderer like a father. I hate how I’ve been crushed under your thumb all these years. And you still dare say I’ve misunderstood?”Then he turned to me, eyes sharp with scorn. “I heard that marrying Raelyn comes with twenty percent of Eclipse Corporation shares. That was the plan all along, wasn’t it? You were always going to give that to Aiden.”
