Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
Seeing how tactless Adrian was, I could only shake my head and step forward to take Tammy by the arm. “Alright, Tammy, don’t cry. He’s got a bad temper and a foul mouth, but he’s not a bad person. Don’t take what he says to heart.” “I’ve never been this humiliated in my life!” Tammy sniffled. “I don’t care! I’m not leaving today. I’m staying right here in the Midnight Pack!” She said it while sobbing, and then stepped through the front gate. I glared at Adrian, and he sighed, waving his hand. “Alright, alright, stop with the drama. I’ll apologize, okay?” Tammy wiped her tears and looked up. “You mean it?” Adrian lowered his head in a slight bow and said, “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have gotten involved with you. So from now on, don’t come looking for me again. Let’s just never speak to each other again, sound good?” Tammy’s face shifted slightly. She opened her mouth, but didn’t know what to say. “Alright, if there’s nothing else, you can go now. We’ve got stuff to do.” Adrian strode out the door like it was nothing. Tammy widened her eyes. “Where are you going?” I replied, “Adrian’s school has a competition. We’re going to rehearse for it.” “What competition? Can I help out?” I glanced at Adrian and couldn’t help but laugh. “If a top-tier celebrity joins your show, there’s no way you’re not taking first place.” But Adrian immediately refused. “No way. I already said—don’t contact me again.” Tammy snorted and started provoking him. “Adrian, what? Are you scared? You’re just worried I’ll steal your spotlight, so you’re making excuses to push me away.” Adrian scoffed and made a face. “Get over yourself. Not everyone likes you, okay?” “Then why won’t you let me join? You’re obviously scared. But it’s fine, I’m generous. I won’t steal your thunder.” Tammy wiped her tears, throwing him a sideways look. Adrian rolled his eyes. “Fine, come. I don’t believe people will vote for you just ’cause you’re prettier.” Tammy lit up instantly. “It’s a deal, then!”“Don’t get too excited. If your performance flops, you’ll just embarrass yourself.” Seeing the two of them come to an agreement so quickly, I said, “In that case, you two go ahead. I’ve got something to take care of, so I won’t be going with you.” Adrian looked a bit flustered. “Raelyn, the show won’t work without you…” “Why not? I’ve got just as many fans as Raelyn, if not more. What are you worried about?” Tammy said confidently. I held back a laugh and pushed them both out the door. “Alright, then. You two head over to school and get rehearsing. I’ve got somewhere to be.” “Don’t worry, Raelyn! I’ll take good care of Adrian!” Tammy waved at me. Adrian shot her a look. “Who asked you to?” I chuckled. “Okay, off you go.” Since Adrian and Tammy were off to rehearsal, I continued with my own plans and headed to the hospital to pick up the DNA results. It had been three days — the results would definitely be ready. At the hospital, I smoothly picked up the report. Just as I thought, the results were clear: Aiden and I couldn’t possibly be related by blood. It was all made up by Madam Regina to fool Aiden — all just to stop us from being together. I rushed back to the Midnight Pack’s villa and happened to run into Andrix, who was home changing clothes. He glanced at the report in my hand and raised a brow. “Raelyn, where’ve you been?” “I don’t think it’s your business where I go, Mr. Salvatore. Don’t you have your own life to worry about?” Ever since what happened last time, I hadn’t given Andrix a single kind look. His face shifted slightly, and he said helplessly, “Don’t stay mad at me, Raelyn. One day you’ll see — being with me is the best choice you could ever make.” His words made me laugh coldly. “The best choice? I wouldn’t dare be with you, Mr. Salvatore. If you ever laid a hand on me, I’d have nowhere to run.” Ruby and her mother’s deaths had always been something I couldn’t let go of.“Aiden’s not right for you, Raelyn. He was so in love with Geraldine before, and now suddenly he’s in love with you? How much of what he says can you really believe?” “And don’t forget, Geraldine’s coming back soon. When she does, even if Aiden wants to be with you, Geraldine is definitely going to interfere.” “Oh, and by the way — you and Geraldine are kind of similar, you know. Both stubborn as hell.” I frowned. Andrix was really something. Even now, he was still trying to brainwash me. “Alright, we both know what you’re after, Mr. Salvatore.” I took a step back and said coldly, “I’m sure you’ve got more important things to do. I won’t keep you. Goodbye.” With that, I walked around him and headed upstairs.
