Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
“What’s wrong?” I asked with a laugh. “You don’t like my makeup? I did it myself. It probably can’t compare to your professional stylists…” Before Aiden could speak, Adam was already loudly praising me. “Moon Goddess, are you serious? Raelyn, even the makeup artists on our set couldn’t make you look half this good.” I lowered my head and smiled. “You’re flattering me.” “Raelyn, you look so pretty!” Tammy jumped off the chair, staring at my face in admiration, then pouted. “If I shoot with you, I’ll definitely be outshone.” I pinched her soft cheek. “Alright, stop overthinking it. I did your makeup too, and it looks great. You’ll definitely attract tons of new fans. Besides, I’m not even pursuing a career in entertainment. What are you worried about?” Tammy brightened up and raised her brows. “Of course! I’m the one and only star Tammy of the werewolf world!” This girl was so refreshingly straightforward. Compared to the scheming people in showbiz, she was a lot more real. “That’s right, star of the werewolf world. So, can we start shooting now?” Tammy grabbed my hand. “Let’s go. Time to shoot.” With the initial awkwardness gone, Tammy and I worked together perfectly during the shoot. We played an angel and a demon, and both of us brought out the extremes of purity and seduction on camera. The final cut turned out absolutely stunning. The moment the commercial dropped, it received tons of praise. “My star is too pretty! Help, I’m dying from how gorgeous she is!” “Raelyn is the most beautiful one, okay? On the whole werewolf continent, have you ever seen anyone hotter than my girl Raelyn?” “Come on, don’t compare them. They’re both gorgeous!” “Raelyn is the prettiest. No debate.” Seeing all these comments, I couldn’t help but feel happy — and amused. The fans even gave me a nickname: Satanic Goddess. They were seriously treating me like I was a real celebrity in the werewolf world. Soon, Friday rolled around — the day I was supposed to pick up the DNA results.I gathered my things and composed myself, ready to head out, but just as I reached the front gate of the Midnight Pack, Adrian suddenly grabbed my arm. “Raelyn.” Adrian looked at me with a strange expression. I blinked, a little confused. “What is it? Something wrong?” “It’s just…” Adrian hesitated. “We’ve got an art festival at school, and our group put together a performance, but we’re missing someone to sing. So I was hoping…” I immediately understood. “So you want me to help out?” “Yeah.” “Then why didn’t you ask Adam?” “He’s even busier than Aiden. He’s barely around the Midnight Pack these days. That’s why I had no choice but to come to you…” Adam had indeed been flying all over the place lately for shoots. I thought about it, then nodded. “This might be the first time you’ve ever asked me for a favor. Alright, let’s go see what your performance is.” Adrian lit up. “Raelyn, I’ll take you.” Just as we were about to head out, there was a loud knock at the door. I opened it casually. There, wrapped up in sunglasses, a mask, and a scarf, was a werewolf girl peeking around nervously. Adrian and I both froze. “Raelyn, it’s me, Tammy!” she said in her cheerful voice. Before I could respond, her voice shifted the moment she saw Adrian. “Adrian, you’re home too…” Adrian frowned at her, his face full of irritation. “Seriously? You actually followed me all the way to my house? What’s wrong with you? You’ve got your whole glamorous celebrity life, and yet you’re tracking me down like this?” I looked at Adrian. “What’s going on?” “It’s that time I went to the mall to buy a racing suit. I saw her getting cornered by some crazy stalker fans and helped her out. But she insisted on giving me money to repay me. I couldn’t be bothered, so I ditched her. But now she’s tracked me down to the school, and even cornered me at the gates.” “Well, at least let her in for a bit. She’s probably just trying to thank you.” “I already told her she didn’t have to. Now she’s shown up at my house? I have nothing more to say to her. Let’s just send her away.” With that, Adrian reached out to push Tammy out. Tammy resisted, clearly flustered. “Adrian, I just wanted to repay you for saving me! Why are you being so cold to me?” Adrian sneered. “Repay me? By going around school telling people I have a girlfriend?” Tammy froze for a second, then widened her eyes. “I didn’t! There was just this one girl bothering you, so I said that to get her to back off!” “Whatever. Enough. This is my house. Please leave immediately.” Adrian was completely unmoved as he tried to shove her out the door. Tammy, being a celebrity and still quite young, looked pitiful and helpless. Her lips quivered as she suddenly burst into tears. Adrian let go and took a step back, rubbing his temples in frustration. “Oh my god. Please stop crying. I can’t stand it when women cry.”
