Shining Through the Chaos with My Bulldog

Chapter 306 Love Guru Roderick

The man understood that. But he had rarely encountered such a generous customer. He couldn't let this opportunity slip away easily. "But you love winter and snow! Look at the situation now. We'll probably never see snow again. When you're missing the snow, you can look at these snow tracks." Before he could finish, even he felt this was ridiculous. He glanced at Natalie sheepishly. Unexpectedly, Natalie slowly nodded. "That actually makes some sense." The man was overjoyed. This woman was so easy to fool. She had some weird winter nostalgia thing going on. So he started pitching enthusiastically again. "Exactly! You snooze, you lose. Where else can you find winter gear like this nowadays? Plus all my stuff is top quality." Natalie made her decision. "Make it cheap and I'll take it." The man nodded and said, "Cheap, cheap! Just one pound of grain." Natalie glanced at him. "One pound of grain isn't cheap." The man protested, "I spent good money on this stuff back in the day." Natalie was about to get nine tons of grain soon. She didn't want to waste more time haggling. She needed to pick up the water tank trucks. So she said, "What else do you have? Bundle it all together and I'll give you one pound of grain." The man looked back. What else did he have? There wasn't much good stuff left. Anything useful, he'd already taken. So he said, "Take everything here. Deal?"Natalie took a quick look around. She didn't bother arguing further. "Let's go. Come with me to my car to get the grain." Downstairs, Natalie went to her car. She pulled out 11 pounds of mixed grains. The man received the heavy bag of grain. He happily stuffed it into the black backpack he'd prepared. Natalie was in a good mood too. 11 pounds of grain for a very practical snowmobile and snow tracks. Both parties felt they'd gotten a great deal and parted ways contentedly. "Miss, do you need me to go upstairs and help you move the stuff down?" Natalie waved her hand. "No need. Go ahead and leave. My boyfriend will bring people to transport it soon." The man nodded and turned to leave. Despite carrying a heavy bag, his steps grew faster and faster. First, he was afraid the "dupe" might change her mind. Second, it wasn't safe outside. He needed to get the grain home quickly. Seeing him disappear into the distance, Natalie went back upstairs. She put the snowmobile and snow tracks into her storage space. She didn't even look at the other junk. She collected everything. ... Meanwhile, in the Hillside Villa District. Roderick was making his routine trip to clean his boss's house. He was walking up the mountain road. Suddenly he heard honking behind him. He turned around and saw the familiar Hummer. His face immediately lit up with delight. "Mr. Holland!" Cassian rolled down the window. "Get in." Roderick immediately went around to the passenger side. "Mr. Holland, you've been ... " Before he could finish, he suddenly felt something. A pair of eyes in the back seat were staring at him. So he turned around. "Holy crap!" Roderick jumped. "Is that a pig?" Cassian smirked. "It's Natalie's dog, Lucky." Roderick was dumbfounded. "What? This is ... a dog! And it's Ms. Ashford's?" But he remembered Natalie had a cute, chubby little French Bulldog! This looks like a big white pig! Lucky gave him a disdainful look. Then she turned around and pointed her butt at him. Cassian chuckled. "Don't provoke her. She could bite your head clean off." Roderick's mouth twitched. "That ... that powerful? It seems the pet takes after its owner. This pig ... this dog has quite the attitude, just like Ms. Ashford." Lucky couldn't be bothered with him and even let out a fart. It was loud and stinky. Fortunately, they'd already reached the house. Cassian quickly opened the door and got out. He brought Lucky and Roderick into the villa. It was Lucky's first time at Cassian's home. Seeing the luxurious and spacious interior, she immediately got excited. She started exploring everywhere. Roderick asked in surprise, "Mr. Holland, where's Ms. Ashford?" He remembered Lucky was always with Natalie. How could she be so comfortable leaving her alone with Cassian? Cassian sat on the couch. "She's taking care of some business." Roderick's eyes lit up as something occurred to him. "Mr. Holland, are you two together now?" Cassian smiled. "Yes." Roderick looked at Cassian with a gossipy expression. No wonder Cassian looked so radiant. He'd won her heart! Cassian felt uncomfortable under his gaze and coughed. "Sit down." Roderick was confused. "Huh?" Cassian said, "Sit. I have something to ask you." Roderick looked bewildered. What's up with the serious tone? But he obediently sat down. Cassian looked at him. "I remember you mentioned something during your dating period. You gave all your savings and property to your wife. Then you got engaged?" Roderick was a bit slow to catch on. He'd thought Cassian was going to ask him about something important. But it was actually about him and his wife?
