Theresa, the Doomsday Queen
Bang! Tyger slammed his palm on the table in front of Neville. "Today is the camp's celebration. I won't act, tell me—what did you say about Charlotte?" Neville swallowed, uneasy, staring at the giant of a man before him. "I... I didn't say anything." Tyger was from Haven Camp. Theresa disliked Haven Camp most in the Blazing Sun Alliance. Their former camp leader, Wolfe, and those Theresa despised were eliminated from the outset. Theresa didn't want any of those people around. Still, Haven Camp was her least favorite, so she assigned them the hardest tasks. As deputy leader of Haven Camp, Neville remembered Tyger's reputation, especially now that Tyger was Theresa's personal guard. He was not someone to provoke. Meeting Tyger's gaze, Neville immediately cowered. "It was a slip of the tongue… I misspoke." "Apologize," Tyger demanded in a rough voice. "I'm sorry, Ms. Clove. It was my fault. Please forgive me," Neville stammered. Tyger glared. "Be careful. If it happens again, you're finished." "Yes, I was wrong," Neville hurriedly agreed. After letting Neville go, Tyger glanced at Charlotte. She watched him with bright eyes. "Let's go," he said. "Okay!" Charlotte beamed. They walked to their seats in Blazing Sun Camp. On the way, Tyger asked curiously, "You're going on a blind date?" "No, my brother is arranging it for me. I don't want to go," she replied. "Oh," Tyger murmured. After a moment, his brow furrowed. "Then how did he find a man like that for you?""My brother thinks I'm ugly and bad-tempered. He believes no one wants me." "Impossible. You're beautiful, not ugly at all, and your temper isn't bad. What young girl has such a temper?" Tyger said sincerely. Charlotte's heart raced. "Really?" "Really. You're great. Don't listen to your brother." She clenched her fists. "Okay, I'll listen to you!" Ahead, Kyle and the others, already seated, waved at them. "Over here." "Coming!" Tyger patted Charlotte's shoulder lightly, leading her to their table. The wedding hadn't started yet, but guests were slowly taking their seats. Liana arrived and immediately spotted James waving at her. "James!" She ran happily toward his table. Sitting with James was Ian. "He's Ian. We're really close, and he's amazing," James explained to Liana after she sat down. "Ian, this is my girlfriend, Liana." "Hello, Ian," Liana greeted politely. Ian, seeing the sixteen or seventeen-year-old Liana, felt a faint stir of emotion. "Hello." Liana took James' hand. "James, I wish we could get married today, too. Theresa is officiating, and opportunities like this are rare." James smiled indulgently and lowered his voice. "Don't worry. When we're old enough, I'll have Theresa officiate our wedding too." Liana's eyes sparkled with joy. "Yes!" Ian, sitting nearby, watched the scene and couldn't help but smile wistfully. My story with Mila will always continue, in one way or another. At that moment, the wedding march echoed across the venue. The symphony brought silence over the entire plaza. A young girl in a white suit with a simple high ponytail stepped to the center, where the officiant stood. The moment she appeared, the crowd erupted. "Theresa!" "Leader!" "Ms. Hall!" Theresa raised her hand to calm the crowd. No words were needed—the entire hall fell silent. Everyone's eyes shone with excitement as they looked at her. "Today is a day of great celebration for our Alliance. From our founding to now, we've endured hardships together, just as our newlyweds have. No matter what came before, we look forward to a bright future."
