Theresa, the Doomsday Queen

Chapter 678 Decision Maker Three

The suited man did not look at the injured man. Instead, his bright eyes locked directly onto Theresa. Theresa stared right back at him. Her eyes fell on the familiar badge pinned to his chest, but the number on it was SS003. "Dear No. 7913, we finally met," he said. Theresa looked at him and said, "Starborn Order." "You are a smart girl, and I'm very satisfied with that." A pleased smile spread across the man's face. "I am the Starborn Order's Decision Maker Three. You may call me Three." "I see, so you are a third wheel too. Okay." Hearing her words, both Decision Maker Three and Clara were speechless. However, Decision Maker Three did not get angry at all. Instead, his smile deepened, and he said, "I like you very much, including your sense of humor." "I don't have time to joke with you. What do you want?" The man smiled and replied, "I'm sure your aunt's poison must be cured by now. After all, Professor K is with you. He will surely cure her." Theresa frowned and had a grim expression. However, she said nothing. "You've seen it yourself. I truly have no intention of harming you. I didn't tamper with the medicine. That should count as sincerity from the Starborn Order." His tone carried an air of superiority, as if he were a god looking down on them. It was as if Theresa and the others were nothing more than a speck of dust. He didn't deem them worth killing since he would only need a snap of his fingers for them to be dead. Yet, they graciously spared Theresa and Tania to demonstrate their so-called mercy. "What do you want?" Theresa tightened her grip on her blade. "We want to invite you to join the Starborn Order." Decision Maker Three stepped forward and looked at her with bright eyes. "You are the most powerful individual we have discovered among all humanity. Let me list your abilities. You have all five elemental powers, dual physical abilities, mental abilities, space ability, air shield ability, precognition, and light-speed acceleration, which is an extremely rare ability. Also, that power you used to walk through our manufacturing facility as if you were invisible. After extensive analysis, we determined it to be an extremely rare perception-weakening ability, allowing others to automatically ignore your presence. My god… You are a precious gem. How many more surprises are you hiding from us?"As Decision Maker Three spoke, he looked at Theresa with awe. On the other hand, the others stared at her with wide eyes. Kyle and Graham had always known Theresa was ridiculously powerful and had tons of abilities. However, Harrance and the others were absolutely dumbstruck. They stared at Theresa like she was some kind of monster. They couldn't believe Theresa had more than ten abilities and wondered if she was still human. As Harrance and the others looked at her, they fully understood why everyone made her the leader. After all, they also wanted her to be their leader too. As Theresa listened to Decision Maker Three exposing secrets, her lips curled into a cold smile. At least they hadn't discovered her truly hidden trump cards, which were teleportation, magnetic field, and pulse abilities. Those were the ones she rarely used and kept as her final aces. As Theresa thought about it, her grip on her blade tightened. In the meantime, Decision Maker Three continued, "Someone as exceptional as you is perfect for Starborn Order. You are the leader we have been searching for. Join us, and we will place you on the throne!" "What does that mean?" Theresa lifted her head. "The ultimate leader of the Starborn Order will be the god of the new world!" Decision Maker Three said excitedly. "Join us! Let us embrace the new era!" As his voice fell, Theresa felt a sudden sense of danger. Her sixth sense was screaming at her of danger. Her senses were always accurate, especially when her life was at risk. Watching the nearly fanatical devotion on Decision Maker Three's face, she smiled faintly. "Though you make it sound enticing, I'm just a shameless, greedy, lazy, and petty person. I'm not interested in being some lofty god." In that split second, the smile on Decision Maker Three froze. His expression darkened, and he said, "With your abilities, you shouldn't be trapped in this filthy mud pit. You should have greater aspirations." "But I'm happy in the mud pit," Theresa said calmly. "Your ambitions may be high and mighty, but my world is my camp, my companions, and the solid ground beneath my feet. People have different wills, and I cannot bear the weight of your grand ambitions. As for everything in the past—let's call it even."
