The Cherished Pet of Nine Beast Husbands

Chapter 479 Let's Not Keep the Baby

'Calum, are you done fighting Lucien? If not, punch him again. How dare he get Emma pregnant!' A baby? Calum stared at Lucien in shock. Lucien was just as stunned, the only thing he could hear being Marcus' furious voice roaring through the lightcore. 'Why don't you just die, Lucien? You impregnated Emma! She's been throwing up non-stop, and it's making her miserable. Are you happy now?' At the hotel, Marcus turned around after sending those audio messages to Calum and Lucien. He saw Emma leaning against the bed, her face still a little pale. Pressing his lips together, he walked over and kneeled beside her. "I'm sorry, Emma…" His voice was filled with guilt. "It's all my fault. I shouldn't have picked a fight with you just because I got jealous. If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be throwing up this badly." After Alaric's treatment, Emma was already feeling much better. When she heard Marcus' words, she reached out and pulled him up. "What are you talking about? This has nothing to do with you. Alaric has already checked on me. This is just a pregnancy symptom, and it's something every female might go through when carrying a baby." Holding Marcus' hand, Emma looked at him seriously. "You don't need to blame yourself. I know you weren't really mad at me." Marcus had only been trying to add a bit of excitement, and he would never truly be angry with her. Emma could see that clearly. Even so, Marcus still felt deeply guilty. "I won't do it ever again, Emma." While the two of them were talking, the door of the room was suddenly pushed open. Lucien hurried in from outside."Emma!" When he saw Emma sitting on the bed, her face pale and her body weak, it felt as if an invisible hand had gripped his heart tightly, the pain almost stealing his breath. In just a few long strides, he rushed to the bedside and dropped to his knees with a thud. "Emma, I'm so sorry…" He looked at Emma with deep guilt, his voice trembling. "This is all my fault. I forgot that you gave up your blood for me. I forgot about my own rebirth. I even stole you away and ended up getting you pregnant. Punish me, do whatever you want." When he thought about everything he had done these past days, especially the fact that he had gotten Emma pregnant and caused her so much pain, he wanted to stab himself. Listening to his words, Emma looked at him in surprise. "You remember everything now?" Lucien nodded, guilt-ridden. "I remember it all." Emma looked at the feather-shaped mark between his brows, which no longer had any traces of black. "It's good that you remember." That meant Lucien had completely returned to normal, hadn't he? Seeing him kneel on the floor, Emma reached out and tugged at him. She didn't manage to pull him up, and she was speechless. Emma had no strength right now. Didn't this guy know to stand up on his own? "Get up, Lucien." She had no choice but to speak, but Lucien didn't move. "Emma, just let me kneel. It makes me feel a little better that way." He held her hand tightly and looked at her with concern. "Marcus told me you've been throwing up really badly…" When he said that, his voice became strained. "Emma, let's not keep this baby, okay?" After reading the message Marcus had sent him and realizing how much she was suffering, he had already made up his mind. They wouldn't keep this baby.It had only been a few days. If they didn't keep this baby, it wouldn't cause Emma more suffering, and it wouldn't harm her body either. Lucien could spend his whole life without children, but he could not let Emma suffer even the slightest bit because of him again. Emma stared at Lucien in shock. "What did you say? Do you not want this baby?" Lucien met her stunned gaze, forcing down the knife-like pain tearing through his chest, and nodded heavily. "Yes, Emma. I don't want it." "Why?" She looked at him, confused. She had heard Aria say before that Lucien loved young ones very much. Before he had bonded with her, whenever he was in Aurelia, he would often visit the newborns. Lucien drew in a deep breath and explained, "Once there's a baby, I'll have to spend time incubating it. And that means I won't be able to stay with you every moment." He lifted his head, his eyes burning as he looked at Emma, his voice filled with a stubborn, possessive intensity. "Emma, I don't want to be away from you. Not for even a second. Let's not keep it, alright?" He knew Emma too well. If he said it was because he couldn't bear to see her suffer from morning sickness and pain, she probably wouldn't agree. As such, he had to pretend to be selfish. She wouldn't be able to argue against it, and he'd take all the blame. "Emma, I don't want this baby. I don't want to be separated from you, and I'm not ready to be a father. I'm begging you… Let's not keep this baby, okay?"
