If It's Not Me
Daniel finished cooking dinner and ate together with Denise. Then, he brought her for a walk outside. An adult and a child, with the bigger hand holding the more petite one, strolled down the cobbled path under the sunset. The surrounding scenery was beautiful, and there was even a lake next to them. It looked just like a beautiful painting. "Daddy, it's so pretty outside." Denise held Daniel's hand tightly as she looked around with curiosity in her eyes. "Do you like it?" Daniel lowered his head and cast a tender look at the adorable Denise. This was the first time he had been alone with her for so long, but he wished that time would go by a little slower, and he would give anything for it to stop at this moment forever. Just then, Denise released his hand and trotted to the side of the cobbled path to pick up a flower that had fallen on the ground. Daniel had no idea where she learned this from, but she tucked the stalk above her ear and turned to him with a smiling face. "Daddy, am I pretty?" Startled, he stared into her round eyes, which had turned into crescents from smiling, and her flushed face was filled with happiness. Suddenly, he was reminded of Evelyn. On that road, a woman dressed in a white dress danced gracefully under the moonlight, and when she looked at him, she wore the exact expression as Denise. "Evelyn, our daughter is as gorgeous as you when she smiles," Daniel muttered with glassy eyes. However, Denise didn't hear his mutterings as she turned around and picked up more flowers. Then, suddenly, she raised her head and fixed her eyes on a spot before she shouted, "Daddy, Miss Morales is over there!" Following her gaze, Daniel saw Laskarina dressed in casual clothes, practicing her martial arts on a pavilion next to the lake, and beside her was Aldo in a wheelchair. Meanwhile, Denise trotted over, staggering a little as she ran, and Daniel's heart was almost melted by his own daughter when he watched her less than graceful running as he followed behind her. On the other side, Aldo was watching Laskarina while she trained, pointing out her errors from time to time. But, equally serious, Laskarina threw every punch with power, whipping up a small gust of air every time. “It's considered excellent that she had reached this state for Standard Battle Fist." While they were engrossed in training, they were suddenly interrupted by a voice, and both turned to the source. A little girl was trotting over in her unsteady steps, shouting in her cherubic voice, "Miss Morales!" Daniel smiled as he followed after his daughter. "Hades!" Laskarina and Aldo were shocked, and the latter even struggled to stand up from his wheelchair to salute him, but Daniel waved his hand and said, "At ease. You don't have to get up, Mr. Morales." Only then did Aldo give up and greeted politely, "Greetings, Lord Hades." Even Laskarina bowed slightly, saluting, "Hello, General Hardon." "Just call me Daniel," he said with a smile. When Aldo saw that Daniel was so approachable, his opinion of him in his heart changed quite a lot. Even though he had the honor of meeting a couple of Generals of Freyna, he hadn't met any who was as friendly as Daniel. Indeed, he's not proud despite his high position, worthy of being the most powerful genius of the century of Freyna."What are you doing, Miss Morales?" Denise asked in surprise after she reached Laskarina's legs. "How are you, Denise? You still remember me, huh?" Laskarina smiled as she stroked Denise's head gently. Clearly, they had spoken with each other the last time Laskarina sent her and Janice home. "Yeah," Denise answered, giving her a firm nod in an adorable manner.
