Pampered By Billionaires After Betrayal

Chapter 203 I Saw Your Boyfriend

After talking with Mr. Satan for a while, Emily felt much calmer. Because of her pregnancy, her emotions had become a bit fragile. Luckily, whenever she felt vulnerable, Mr. Satan was always there for her. Additionally, Mr. Satan brought news about Emma: "Her bribery at the hospital has been exposed. She's been fired, and she's also facing several medical malpractice cases. The hospital is preparing to sue her. If convicted, she will face hefty fines." Emily hesitated slightly and asked, "No criminal charges?" "The medical incidents were minor. If she compensates, the cases will be closed. If we want her to go to jail, that would be difficult," Mr. Satan explained. "Emily, what happened to your mother's body?" Emily replied, "She was cremated. We couldn't afford a burial plot. Her ashes are stored at the funeral home." "Did your adoptive father and uncle personally take her for cremation?" Emily wasn't sure. She bit her lip, "I was too young to remember. I heard my uncle mention it once. He said after my mother died, her body was stored in the hospital morgue and was taken to the funeral home for cremation the next morning. My uncle picked up the ashes from the funeral home… Did you think of something?" Mr. Satan held her tighter. "No, I just think I should visit your mother. We should tell her about us." The sun was setting, turning the clouds in the sky red. The weather was exceptionally good today, with a beautiful blue sky and a setting sun. Mr. Satan said, "Once everything here is settled, I'll take you to see the sunrise in the Alps. The sunrise there is the most beautiful." Logan was about to get off work, so Emily said goodbye to Mr. Satan and slowly walked back to the Morgan house, quietly going upstairs. From the window, she saw he was still standing there, looking up at her window. They had developed a great understanding; one look was enough to convey their thoughts. There was a faint worry in Mr. Satan's eyes, while Emily signaled him to leave quickly to avoid being seen by Logan. Finally, the black SUV's red taillights lit up and drove away slowly.Emily sighed in relief. She closed the window and sat on the bed, staring blankly for a while. In the quietness, she could hear painful moans coming from Sophia's room. It had been 8 hours since morning. Grace was really bold to let Sophia endure like this without taking her to the hospital. Knock, knock— The attic door was knocked on. "Hey, Emily! I'm hungry, can you make me something to eat?" Herry's complaining voice came from the door. As soon as he spoke, Sophia's painful sounds instantly stopped. Grace must have covered her mouth, fearing Herry would hear them. Emily stood up, opened the door, and saw Herry squatting dejectedly at the door, holding his chin and looking up at her. "I'm really starving…" He hadn't eaten anything since morning, probably very hungry, which was why he came to her for help. Emily felt a bit sympathetic and asked, "What do you want to eat? I'll make it for you." Herry, too hungry to be picky, said, "Anything, I'm really hungry…" His face looked pale, his lips a bit colorless, and he frowned slightly, looking very uncomfortable. "Are you feeling unwell?" "I'm fine, just a bit dizzy." Herry said, his body swaying, almost collapsing. This was a typical symptom of low blood sugar. Emily quickly helped him to his room and let him lie down on the bed. "Wait here, I'll be right back." She ran downstairs, opened the fridge, and found a jar of honey among the gifts someone had sent a few days ago. She scooped a spoonful of honey into a cup and slowly dissolved it in warm water. She tasted it, finding it quite good. "Here," Emily brought the honey water upstairs and helped Herry sit up. "Drink this first." Herry looked at the drink with disdain. "What is this? It looks so murky. Emily, I've helped you before, don't take revenge on me... Ugh…" Emily seized the moment and poured a bit into his mouth. "You can still talk so much; you're fine." Emily's tone was slightly stern. "Stop talking and drink it all." Herry scratched his head in frustration. "Why are you so fierce? I really don't get how you can have a boyfriend…" Emily didn't care much at first. She was often strict with Herry, but he was hard to discipline at his age, especially since his parents had spoiled him. If she wasn't strict, Herry's temper would be even worse. However, hearing his last words, her smile gradually froze. Herry obediently finished the honey water and handed the cup back to her, grumbling, "What's with that look? Didn't you go out to meet your boyfriend? I saw it." Emily's grip on the glass tightened slightly. "You saw it?" "Yes, I saw it all," Herry said, lying back down and closing his eyes. "You adults are strange. You all think I'm still a kid. I've grown up. My friends are all dating. You're an adult; why are you afraid of people knowing you're dating?" Emily snorted. "I'm not afraid of people knowing. I'm just afraid you'll get bad influences. You're only 10, and your friends are dating already? That's too early." Herry rolled his eyes. "You're not my mom; why do you care?" Emily was stunned and didn't continue the conversation. Herry was right; she wasn't his parent. Whatever he became in the future wasn't her responsibility.
