Pampered By Billionaires After Betrayal

Chapter 125 A New Look

Olivia immediately rushed forward. "No, boss, I was wrong. I think staying by your side as your secretary has more prospects." A faint smile crept onto Allen Parker's lips, but he maintained a serious demeanor. "You're right. When I assigned you work before, I didn't consider your abilities. Given your capabilities, being my secretary indeed puts you in a difficult position. You should go work as an assistant in Lucas's team." Olivia didn't expect him to say that. Although he was intentionally making things difficult for her now, Olivia felt she couldn't give up the opportunity to meet Mr. Satan. "I can learn! I believe I can quickly become a qualified secretary," Olivia patted her chest. "Boss, although I'm not as smart as others, I'm diligent! I believe I can soon become your top-notch secretary." Allen Parker chuckled lightly, nodding thoughtfully. "You make sense." Olivia displayed a more proactive attitude. "Boss, give me a chance, and I'll definitely excel as a competent secretary." "Are you sure?" Olivia straightened her back, determined. "Absolutely!" Record the boss's schedule? She'll jot it down in memo! Take meeting notes? She can use a voice recorder! How hard could being a secretary be? Allen Parker turned around, a glint in his eyes. "Being a secretary isn't as simple as you imagine." "Could you teach me?" Allen Parker said, "Forget it, for the sake of your father, I'll give you this chance. However, the probation period will be extended to three years." "What?" Olivia was taken aback. "Three years?" Allen Parker raised an eyebrow. "You regret it?" With a single sentence, Olivia instantly backed down. "No. Thank you, boss, for giving me this opportunity...""I need to make this clear. The secretary's job is to serve me, so you need to cater to my lifestyle and work habits. When I say something, you must carry it out unconditionally. Do you understand?" Internally, Olivia was lamenting. "Fine, I'll do whatever you say." "Good," Allen Parker nodded, pushing up his glasses and smiling even wider. "Tomorrow, come to the CEO's office. I like to have a glass of milk and a sandwich for breakfast. Tomorrow, before I start work, I want to see these things on my desk." Olivia immediately took note, but she quickly made her request. "Boss, can you take me to dinner with Mr. Satan tonight?" "That depends on your performance." "What kind of performance?" Allen Parker chuckled. "I want a mocha from the coffee shop across the street, with three ice cubes, no sugar or milk. Fifteen minutes, and the countdown begins." Olivia muttered a curse under her breath and hurried out. Watching her leave, Allen Parker let out a quiet sigh, then smiled again. "Mr. Parker, you seem unusually cheerful today," Amanda said, glancing in the direction Olivia had gone and then back at Allen Parker's smiling face, sensing that something was ambiguous. Allen Parker didn't intend to hide his interest in Olivia from Amanda. He asked, "Is Lucas's makeup done?" Amanda's face immediately lit up with pleasant surprise. "Olivia's friend is really talented. I've never seen a makeup artist giving Lucas this kind of look. I was worried at first, but the effect is really impressive! I have a feeling that this change in makeup will surprise the fans at Lucas's concert." Allen Parker nodded. "She's indeed quite skilled." "Boss, can I gossip a bit? Do you know that makeup artist?" Allen Parker smiled knowingly. "You could say we're acquainted. What do you think of her?" Amanda gave a thumbs-up. "She's really great." "Alright, I'll see if I can bring her to work at our company." Meanwhile, in the makeup room, Emily was putting the finishing touches on Lucas's face. The makeup she chose for Lucas leaned towards a punk style, completely different from his previous Korean-inspired makeup. Lucas had a rugged facial contour, somewhere between youthful and mature. The Korean-style makeup would highlight his youthful side, but it would waste his naturally striking facial contours. Emily took a different approach, using shadows and highlights to enhance his facial features. His demeanor suddenly became mature and sexy, more eye-catching. Amanda was very pleased. "This look suits you better, Lucas. What do you think?" Lucas earnestly examined himself in the mirror. "I never thought I had such a sexy side..." Amanda agreed. "Exactly! You've always wanted to sing rock, right? Today's opening song is rock-themed, and with this outfit and makeup, the show will be amazing. I'm really looking forward to your performance." Lucas was thrilled. Looking at Emily, who was still busy tidying his hair, he chuckled softly. "Thank you." Emily smiled back. "As long as you feel comfortable with it." Amanda's walkie-talkie sounded. "Amanda, three minutes to countdown!" "Got it." Amanda urged quietly, "Perfect timing, Lucas. Get ready to hit the stage. And miss, what's your name?" "I'm Emily." "Ah, Emily," Amanda was polite. "We're really grateful to you today. Could I trouble you staying backstage for a while? There will be an intermission during the concert, and guests will perform during this time. Lucas will need wardrobe changes and touch-ups, and I'd like you to assist with that. Of course, we'll pay you for your work, don't worry." "That's all right. I'm a friend of Mr. Parker's. This is my help to him. Payment is not very important to me."
