You Were Warned

Chapter 96 Pierre, Merna, Ashur

*Pierre* If I had Merna’s schedule down pat, she would be starting her routine now. She would continue until everything was done. Finishing the scheduled routine with a bath. Merna weaved past anyone who was in her way. Not once sparing them a second glance. When it comes to employment Merna is excellent at completing all tasks that she is given. When it comes to being friendly and working well with others, not so good. Working towards a goal, Merna will continue moving forward. And with group projects! Again that woman will finish her task, hand her work in and leave the group. Not aiding anyone who was not finished. I can see why many would see Merna as cold and indifferent. Her popularity here was low, which made me realize why the Master wanted me to follow her. The glares that everyone gave her as she strolled the halls were menacing. One serf muttered, “she thinks she is better than us! Wait and see, once the Master is bored of her, he will treat her like the rest of us.” The group around her nod their heads in agreement. ‘This is the reason Merna chose to be self-employed!’ I thought to myself. The only group that seemed to appreciate Merna’s work ethic were the Mages and a few fae. Thankfully Merna was too narrow-minded to see that I was near her. My presence had not gone unnoticed by the Mages though. The Mage directed his feet toward me, “What are you doing here hunter?” She hissed. “Just making sure there is no trouble here!” I answered with the same tone the Mage had spoken to me in. I kept my sight of the Mage as I walked past her and aimed to go in the same direction as Merna. *Merna* The conversation that Chaos and I were having was short but entertaining. When his energy shifted, I knew that his sister had said something to trigger him into instant rage. Breaking the link, I continued with my scheduled tasks. The walls of Chaos’s home shook violently. In the halls, hunters stood straight and everyone was on their best behaviour. Entering the throne room, I found it empty, I knew he was here not too long ago. I could smell his signature scent, sulphur mixed with humid damp soil. Touching the wall I saw his thoughts of the dungeons.Heading in the direction that I had come, following my intuition, I headed towards the dungeons. Nearing the entrance I spotted Kudiya exiting a cell. From that cell, there was a female screaming and begging. Strolling over to Kudiya, “I am looking for the Master?” I showed my respect. If we were in a location that did not have so many individuals around, I would address the Master by his name, though with others scampering around, I had to be respectful. Kudiya glanced at the cell that he recently came from, “Father is busy!” His tone was a cross with hatred for me and fear. I could only assume that when Chaos is in a foul mood everyone runs and stays out of his way. “I need his permission to create a portal and visit my mother!” I said as politely as I could muster up. “Why? What is the nature of you visiting your mother?” Kudiya folded his arms in front of his chest. I was thrown off for a second, considering he gives off the vibe that he is a mummy’s boy, I thought for sure he would not dispute nor question my words. “Is it not obvious! What child doesn’t want to spend time with their parents when there is free time.” Kudiya narrowed his sight on me, curling his lips, “no!” Both Kudiya and I glanced at the cell door when we heard a blood-curdling scream of a female and Chaos roared louder than I ever had before. “What is going on here?” Ashur asked as he approached Kudiya and me. Motioning with his head behind us, “Father is having fun!” Pointing towards me with a finger, knowing how rude that is considered. “IT is not to go and see her mother!” Kudiya spat out. “Her name is Merna, you flea bitten rodent!” Without thinking, “no!” Ashur responded to my request. My jaw dropped, “I only wanted to make a social call and possibly see if I could get any new information out of my mother to help Chaos!” I realized my mistake, “I mean the Master!” I corrected myself. “Come on! I have finished everything plus work that is for the next shift … I will not be gone long!” I was mainly speaking to Ashur. “No!” Ashur repeated himself, “all hunters are in training or scheduled for a shift, there is no one to protect you!” “Protect me!” I was dumbfounded, “I can protect myself besides have you seen how freakishly scary my mother can be … I think there is a competition between your father and my creator!” I was hoping this would give me a bit of leeway. Both brothers glared at each other. If I had to guess I would have said they were having a private conversation in their minds. Kudiya growled with frustration. Ashur gave me his no-bullshit expression, “You have until the moon is at its peak to get back here!” Ashur spoke to me in a not-so-happy tone. I had to point out, “would that be the next moon since the moon is close to the high peak now! I also would need a written permission stating I can open a portal here!” Ashur huffed out, extending his hand. “Give me your hand!” Ashur ordered. Doing as he told me, my hand was in his as a swirling fire covered my hand. Letting anyone know that I had Ashur's permission to open a portal. That my behaviour was not suspicious at all. “Be back before the next moon is at its highest peak.” Ashur informed me. “Remember this little pet, if you are late even by a second, there will be consequences. And know this I can cause you more pain even without causing you to bleed!” I could not tell if this was a threat, promise or him telling me what he wanted to do the next time we met behind closed doors. I glared at Ashur for a second wondering if I should speak my thoughts out loud or keep them to myself. ‘Sounds like more fun versus a threat to me.’ I thought to myself but decided that this was not the time nor place for my sassiness. My hand was no longer glowing, glancing down, I could see the writing permission that gave me leave for a bit. Without a second thought, I nodded my head in understanding with a wide grin on my face. Just as I was about to leave Ashur started to laugh, “Are you a masochist?” Glancing over at the two brothers, “Ashur stay out of my head … it would be safer for you! Then again you might get a few new ideas … never mind my first comment, you can galavant in my mind from time to time to get a few new ideas! To your question, sadist and masochist!” *Ashur* I could feel Merna’s presence before I saw her. My brother and Merna were having a discussion. Getting over to the location Merna explained to me what was going on. I told her no two times to her request. The thought of her being away from us bothered me. My inner nature to protect her was overwhelming. Studying her eyes I could see the confusion and need to see her mother. ‘Damn her unsophisticated innocence!‘Father is already pissed as it is, if he finds out that IT left, he will have our heads!’ Kudiya pointed out. ‘Her name is Merna, stop being rude!’ I knew my father's temper better than any of my siblings. As long as Merna went to her mother's realm and back again … most likely father would not have an issue. ‘She is going to visit Pirapancam and she already stated why!’ ‘Do you not find her behaviour indifferent? He glanced at Merna with hatred. I soften my glare, ‘I see a female that wants to go and see her parent, no different than you going to visit mom.’ ‘If father …’ Kudiya started. ‘When I tell father …’ I glanced at Merna who could tell we were having a private conversation, ‘I will take the punishment if the father loses his temper!’ I brought my attention back to my brother. ‘I am going to let Merna go and visit Pirapancam!” Strolling back over to Merna I told her my demands. She thought about it and had no issues. Giving her the permission she needed I saw her walk through the portal she made. “I can't believe you gave IT permission to leave. What if IT does not come back?” Kudiya pointed out. I grabbed my brother by the throat, “One last time Brother … watch your tongue! Father will not accept this blatant disrespect!” I released Kudiya. “For Merna … if she doesn’t come back and you never see her again. That would be a plus for you.” I already knew she would come back, possibly late. I knew full well how much females can talk once they start. Needless to say, Merna will come back … I knew she could feel the pull now! The more time spent with Merna, the more she would become dependent on our closeness. I left, heading to the bathing room. I spent a shift out on patrol, all I wanted to do was bathe, eat and bury my dick in someone's arse.
