You Were Warned
Chaos I received a message that my sister Irvau and her second husband were coming. That I was to prepare for additional guests. I was unsure of how long they were going to stay or how many were coming. I arranged rooms to be cleaned by the Serfs. I could only assume that my sister was bringing a small army with her. I had been in the throne room when I received a link informing me that outside of my border at the gate was my sister, her second husband, her granddaughter plus her grandson. Letting the Hunter know that he could let them in I further instructed him to bring them straight to me. “It has been a while my dear beloved sister! What brings you to my territory?” I motioned my hand toward a chair, “ please sit!” Materializing seats for my guests to sit in. Iravu glanced around the location, “I was wondering if Merna was here?” To hear Merna's name I was set back. I did not realize that my dear beloved sister and Merna had crossed paths. Getting Iravu to explain to me what Was going on answered all of my questions. It appeared to both of us that Merna was a very busy woman. Her activity had gone private leaving both of us unaware of events that had transpired. I had to inform my dear sister that it had been some time since I had seen her. From time to time there would be reports of activities going on in Merna's dwelling. As quickly as these reports were received Merna or whoever was in the dwelling was quick to leave. As we were speaking Asher came into the throne room with a slip of paper. There is only one word, ‘home.’ I found this peculiar! this was not the first time that I had received a message similar to this. In the past, I had received messages with one or three words on them. I was on aware of the sender. but the intent was meant for me. “What is the problem, Chaos?” Iravu asked, realizing my irritation from reading the note. “The message only has one word, home!” “May I see it?” She asked as she held out her hand. Irvau glanced at the paper and handed it back, “It is from Merna … the symbol at the top right, that is the symbol of the water barrier!” “I lost count of how many times I had received a message just like this. Sometimes they come once a day. Then weeks will go by with nothing. Out of nowhere the flow of messages does not seem like they will end … Just like this page … One or two words. And yet not once did I associate the symbol with Merna!” I felt like a fool. I consider myself to be an educated dragon. Something like this I should have been able to connect one with the other.“Sometimes the simplest of things are always overlooked dear brother!” Iravu smiled, “ Merna likes to point that out quite a lot!” “I am assuming Merna is home now … I would think it wise to send someone to check on her dwelling.” “I already have!” While I waited for a reply, my sister and I had a pleasant conversation. The purpose of her being here was meant for Merna’s ears as well. Ashur jumped shouting, “Merna just arrived at her dwelling. She just told me she brought some of the Constellation party with her.” For the first time since they arrived, Ime made a sound, chuckling at Ashur’s response. ‘I wonder if they know the true meaning and connections that we have with Merna?’ I did not ponder on that for much longer as I could tell Ashur wanted to go see his mate, whom we had not seen in close to two earth years. Ime was up out of her seat, “Ashur would you like some company?” “Ime … Later!” Iravu’s tone was soft. I studied my sister and her interaction with her granddaughter. I knew there was more to this than what she was saying. My dear beloved sister never lowers her tone except with her husbands. I raised my brow, silently questioning her. “Maybe we should all go! It is not like we are strangers!” Ashur suggested. I was hesitant! I had grown fond of the thought of having a mate. It took a while to rationally deal with the past. Seeing the interaction with Anatu, Puabi and Sadragon plus their mates … It reminded me what a blessing a mate could be once I got past the fear. Though I did desire to see her, I was sure that Merna would not want to see me. After what I had done. We did not have our memories but I could not deny what had been transpired! “She has already forgiven you brother! Stop acting like a little hatchling and go to her!” My sister laughed at me as she stood up. “Ashur let us go, I do want to speak with your mate! I can not remember the last time I looked at the landscape here, how much has changed since then?” “You know I do not like the land to change unnaturally!” I grumbled. Using my portal we linked to Merna's dwelling. Stepping out of Merna’s black room, I could hear the shower running. There were male and female voices coming from the front of the house. Ashur and I led everyone to the location where the voices were coming from. Walking ahead of me Ashur was the first to enter the kitchen. “Draco … it has been a while!” The whole group turned around surprised to see us standing there. “Next time bro … make some noise! You scared the shit out of us!” Draco spoke to Ashur as if they were the best of friends. I found this odd since Ashur never mentioned that they had become friends. Ashur only laughed at Draco’s words. Pushing past us Iravu strolled over to Draco, “Merna mentioned there were others like herself … she did not say that one was a red dragon and neruppu paravai! Let me guess you have an explosive temper!” Merna’s friends began to laugh! A female stepped forward, “I am Ara!” She pointed to everyone that she was speaking about, “over on the chair, that is Apus, do not let his size fool you he is our fastest fighter next to Aqua. Puppis, Pyxis and Vela, the triplet geniuses. You already know Draco. And Cancer and Pisces are in the back with Scorpio and Sagettarius. It is a full house here!” I introduce my son Ashur, Iravu, Zagi, Ime and Ihel. We were all sitting in the kitchen and living room as Merna came out declaring to everyone how much she loves running hot water.
